  I am installing gems in my Gemfile in shared path as Capistrano does by default, and when I run: bundle exec rake assets:precompile RAILS_ENV=production I get: You have already activated rake 0.9.2.2, but your Gemfile requires rake 10.0.4. Using bundle exec may solve this. • Logging exceptions to database in NServiceBus

  If an exception occurs in my MessageHandler I want to write the exception details to my database. How do I do this? Obviously, I cant just catch the exception, write to database, and rethrow it since NSB rollbacks all changes. (IsTransactional is set to true) I tried adding logging functionality in a seperate handler, which I caledl using SendLocal if an exception occured, but this does not work: public void Handle(MessageItem message) { try { DoWork(); } catch(Exception exc) { Bus.SendLocal(new ExceptionMessage(exc.Message)); throw; } } I also tried using Log4Net with a custom appender, but this also rolled back. If i don't do this only the last field gets translated. My code works nicely, but because of the infinite loop, i keep getting errors from Mozilla to "stop executing scripts". I want to stop shell execution and want to redirect I/O from process, can anybody tell how I can do this?   This seems a bit bizarre to me, but as far as I can tell, this is how you do it. I have a collection of objects, and I want users to select one or more of them. This says to me "form with checkboxes." My objects don't have any concept of "selected" (they're rudimentary POCO's formed by deserializing a wcf call). So, I do the following: public class SampleObject{ public Guid Id {get;set;} public string Name {get;set;} } In the view: <% using (Html.BeginForm()) { %> <%foreach (var o in ViewData.Model) {%> <%=Html.CheckBox(o.Id)%>&nbsp;<%= o.Name %> <%}%> <input type="submit" value="Submit" /> <%}%> And, in the controller, this is the only way I can see to figure out what objects the user checked: public ActionResult ThisLooksWeird(FormCollection result) { var winnars = from x in result.AllKeys where result[x] != "false" select x; // yadda } Its freaky in the first place, and secondly, for those items the user checked, the FormCollection lists its value as "true false" rather than just true. Obviously, I'm missing something. I think this is built with the idea in mind that the objects in the collection that are acted upon within the html form are updated using UpdateModel() or through a ModelBinder. But my objects aren't set up for this; does that mean that this is the only way? Is there another way to do it?

RenderOptions.BitmapScalingMode="NearestNeighbor" On all levels, grid, chrome .. and tried various combinations of SnapsToDevicePixels but images just wont show up correctly. I set Stretch=None, image is aligned at center, still why it stretches automatically? here is the output and its very frustrating. Actual size of the image is 16x16 but I some how figured out by using Windows Maginifier that no matter what I do, the image is actually trying to render as 20x20, for the bigger images its even cropping the right most and bottom part. I think image should be rendered correctly 16x16 when Stretch=None, can anyone clarify whats problem here?

  Hi I have a function that strips out lines from files. I'm handling with large files(more than 100Mb). I have the PHP Memory with 256MB but the function that handles with the strip out of lines blows up with a 100MB CSV File.   Hi. I have download and install KaZip2.0 on C++Builder2009 (with little minor changes = only set type String to AnsiString). I have write: KAZip1->FileName = "test.zip"; KAZip1->CreateZip("test.zip"); KAZip1->Active = true; KAZip1->Entries->AddFile("pack\\text.txt","xxx.txt"); KAZip1->Active = false; KAZip1->Close(); now he create a test.zip with included xxx.txt (59byte original, 21byte packed). I open the archiv in WinRAR successful and want open the xxx.txt, but WinRAR says file is corrupt. :( What is wrong? Can somebody help me? Extract not working, because file is corrupt? • FindWindowEx from user32.dll is returning a handle of Zero and error code of 127 using dllimport

  I need to handle another windows application programatically, searching google I found a sample which handles windows calculator using DLLImport Attribute and importing the user32.dll functions into managed ones in C#. The application is running, I am getting the handle for the main window i.e. Calculator itself, but the afterwards code is not working. The FindWindowEx method is not returning the handles of the children of the Calculator like buttons and textbox. I have tried using the SetLastError=True on DLLImport and found that I am getting an error code of 127 which is "Procedure not found". • Sweave can't see a vector if run from a function ?

  I have a function that sets a vector to a string, copies a Sweave document with a new name and then runs that Sweave. Inside the Sweave document I want to use the vector I set in the function, but it doesn't seem to see it. I suspect this is an environment problem, but I assumed because the call to Sweave occurs within the onOK function, it would be in the same enviroment, and would see all the objects created within the function.   Hi, I'm having some trouble with the ASP.NET 2.0 Login Control. I've setup a database with the aspI.net regsql tool. I've checked the application name. It is set to "/". The application can access the SQL Server. In fact, when I go to retrieve the password, it will even send me the password. Despite this, the login control continues to reject logins. • WCF throttling and emptying the listenBacklog quickly

  I'm sort of a WCF newbie (inheriting tasks from someone) and I'm trying to better throttle my application. We have a service that sends print jobs to the Windows print queue and it seems that rather than dumping all of the jobs into the queue it holds on to them in the listenBacklog and slowly releases them to the Windows print queue. • Java semaphore to syncronize printing to screen

  I'm currently stuck on a bit of homework and was wondering if anyone could help - I have to use semaphores in java to syncronize printing letters from 2 threads - one printing "A" and one printing "B". I cannot print out more than 2 of the same character in a row, so output should look like AABABABABABBABABABABAABBAABBABABA At the moment I have 3 semaphores, a binary mutex set to 1, and a counting semaphore, and my thread classes look something like this - public void run() { while (true) { Time.delay(RandomGenerator.integer(0,20)); Semaphores.mutex.down (); System.out.println (produce()); if (printCount > 1) { printCount = 0; Semaphores.mutex.up (); Semaphores.printB.up(); } } } public String produce() { printCount++; return "A"; } public void run() { while (true) { Time.delay(RandomGenerator.integer(0,20)); Semaphores.mutex.down (); System.out.println (produce()); if (printCount > 1) { printCount = 0; Semaphores.mutex.up (); Semaphores.printA.up(); } } } public String produce() { printCount++; return "B"; } Yet whatever I try it either deadlocks, or it seems to be working only printing 2 in a row at most, but always seems to print 3 in a row every now and again! • problem with converting simple code to silverlight app.

  Hi. I have this code for window form application and I have been attempting to convert it to a Silverlight application but it does not work!. There is a Textbox and I attached KeyDown event handler to it. when the user press the arrow key ( left or right) while the focus on the textbox, it will write . or -. When it is window form i used e.KeyCode and Keys.Right and its works great but when it is silverlight I used e.Key and key.Right and the program doesn't work good because the arrows do the 2 functions moving and write ./-. How I can work this out in Silverlight?
