  • NSTableView not refreshing when calling method from different class

    I have a table view that gets refreshed two different ways. One is through a button and the other is when I call my refresh method, which is the same method that I use for the button, but for some reason, when I hit the button it works, but when I call it through a different class it doesn't.     This is theoretical question: is it possible to change FalseClass behavior to act like TrueClass? It is possible to override to_s, xor, &, | behavior but that is not enough. If you like Test Driven Development, follow my colleague's suggestion: puts "false is new true!" if false puts "never happens" if true Asserts won't work, would it? Is it possible to pass the test successfully?

    I am getting inling warning such as : warning: inlining failed in call to ‘symbol_Arity’: call is unlikely and code size would grow To get rid of this i changed the makefile adding the -Winline to get rid of this. I don't get any inlining warning. But , i don't know how wise is it to do in respect of performance. Can anybody please suggest me about it?

    I'm making the call using the following script which is called on click of an anchor tag function GetToken(videoId) { debugger; var json = $.getJSON("/Vod/RequestAccessToken/"+videoId, function(result){ alert("token recieved: " + result.token); }); } In the server application I recieve the call so I know it is a valid URL, but the callback is not being invoked. If i set though the jquery code (f11/f10) the callback is called??!!!?

    Can we call send from one thread and recv from another on the same socket? Can we call multiple sends parallely from different threads on the same socket? I know that a good design should avoid this, but I am not clear how these system APIs will behave. I am unable to find a good documentation also for the same. If( not(false and (true)) = if not( false) =if( true) which implies it should enters the loop But it is not happening Can someone let me know if i am wrong at any place

  • What is a valid use for Response.Redirect("SomeURL", false) ?

    In ASP.NET I frequently use Response.Redirect to redirect the end user to another page on my system. I always set the second parameter to true to immediately end the response. For the life of me, I can't think of a reason why anybody would ever set that parameter to true. What's the point of continuing generating a page when the end user's browser is just going to be redirected to a different page immediately?

    I have the following dilemma: I have a list of strings, and I want to find the set of string which start with a certain prefix. The list is sorted, so the naive solution is this: Perform binary search on the prefixes of the set, and when you find an element that starts with the prefix, traverse up linearly until you hit the top of the subset. This runs in linear time, however, and I was wondering if anyone can suggest a more efficient way to do it.
