  • Equalize column javascript not working in Chrome

    - by alimango
    Hi, I'm using this mootools javascript snippet to equalize the height of my columns: window.addEvent('domready', function() { var columns = $$('.equalize'); var max_height = 0; columns.each(function(item) { max_height = Math.max(max_height, item.getSize().y); }); columns.setStyle('height', max_height); }); Problem is it's not working properly on Chrome. It's getting the minimum height of the 2 columns instead of getting the maximum. What seems to be the problem and how do I fix it? Thanks in advance!

  • (CKEditor) Looking for exhaustive list of commands and a way to set style...?

    - by humble_coder
    Hi All, I'm currently working with CKEditor (http://ckeditor.com/). I'm looking for: 1) an exhaustive list of commands available by default via 'execCommand'. 2) a mechanism by which to set styles (as in the same way the FONT and SIZE combo boxes do it). I saw the function called 'setStyle' in the documentation, however it seems to require an exact element. I can't for the life of me figure out how to do so based on the selection -- there is no way to use ID or CLASS, as the selected portions have none. I've posted to the forums but they don't seem to be terribly active as far as replies are concerned. Any assistance would be most appreciated. Best.

  • Disable a style in VCL application

    - by Martin
    I am adding the a VCL style into my application but am also giving the users an option to turn this off but I cannot figure out how to do this globally at runtime. Setting "TStyleManager.AutoDiscoverStyleResources := false" almost works but it pops up with an error message saying "Style {style set} not found" but after dismissing the message does exactly what I want. This code I would expect to work but does not... if (not ParamObj.UseDarkStyle) then begin //TStyleManager.AutoDiscoverStyleResources := false; TStyleManager.SetStyle(TStyleManager.SystemStyle); end; I also tried (originally) TStyleManager.TrySetStyle('Windows'); but this also does not work. I have tried this both sides of "Application.Initialize;" with no difference What am I missing? Thanks in advance, Martin

[super setEditing:NO animated:YES]; [myTable setEditing:NO animated:YES]; [myTable reloadData]; [self.navigationItem.leftBarButtonItem setTitle:@"Edit"]; [self.navigationItem.leftBarButtonItem setStyle:UIBarButtonItemStylePlain]; Shouldnt this animated:YES suppose to animated this entering of the editmode? • How do I show/hide an element in YUI as in jQuery?

    - by Chad Johnson
    In jQuery, when I want to show or hide something, I do this: $('#elementId').show(); $('#elementId').hide(); How do I do this with YUI? I've tried YAHOO.util.Dom.get('elementId').hide(), asked my co-workers, looked at the documentation, and searched Google, and I've found nothing helpful. From the documentation, it looks like this should work YAHOO.util.Dom.get('elementId').setStyle('display', 'none') but of course it does not. All I can think of is this, which sucks because then I'm not using a framework: document.getElementById('elementId').style.display = 'none';

  • Changing the style attribute of a button according to its state

    - by LambergaR
    I know you can change buttons background by creating a simple XML file, like this: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <selector xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" > <item android:state_window_focused="false" android:state_enabled="true" android:drawable="@drawable/button_normal" /> <!-- ... --> </selection> I was wondering if it is possible to use a similar approach to change the style attribute of an element using the same (or similar) technique. Or, if that is not possible, how can the style attribute be changed during runtime (there is no such thing as button.setStyle(R.style.button)).

  • C++ class initialisation containing class variable initialization

    - by Phil Hannent
    I noticed some code of a colleague today that initialized class variables in the initialization. However it was causing a warning, he says because of the order they are in. My question is why is it better to do variable initialization where it currently is and not within the curly brackets? DiagramScene::DiagramScene( int slideNo, QRectF screenRect, MainWindow* parent ) : QGraphicsScene( screenRect, parent ), myParent( parent ), slideUndoImageCurrentIndex(-1), nextGroupID(0), m_undoInProgress(false), m_deleteItemOnNextUndo(0) line(0), path(0) { /* Setup default brush for background */ scDetail->bgBrush.setStyle(Qt::SolidPattern); scDetail->bgBrush.setColor(Qt::white); setBackgroundBrush(scDetail->bgBrush); }

  • How to make javascript for font sizes fully language dependent?

    - by toonoid
    Hello All I have a multilanguage webiste English and Arabic. The javascript for the fontsizes is included in the theme not in the .css. Both language have different fontsize 16 and 12. When switching from English to Arabic the English letters such as ( dates and stuff like that ) are shown way too big. And when switching from English to Arabic the arabic letters are too small. I would really like to make this javascrip fully language dependent so that the English letters being shown in the Arabic version keeps the same fontsize as in English version and vice versa for arabic. //-- function setstyle(tag){ var elements = document.getElementsByTagName(tag); for (var i = 0; i The following script is the current javascript included in the theme. I would really appreciate it if somebody out there could help me with this problem. My knowledge of javascript is to be honest zero. Thanks TOONOID

  • OnPaint event during a callback when the form is below?

    - by Martín Marconcini
    Imagine the following scenario: this.SetStyle(ControlStyles.UserPaint, true); //this doesn’t change anything … void OpenSomeForm() { SomeForm sf = new SomeForm(); sf.SomeEvent += new … (SomeEventOcurred); sf.ShowDialog(); } private void SomeEventOcurred(…) { OnePanelInThisForm.Invalidate(); } private void OnePanelInThisForm_Paint(object sender, PaintEventArgs e) { DoSomeDrawing(e.Graphics); } Now, OnePanelInThisForm draws correctly when the form loads. But if SomeEventOcurred is Fired from “SomeForm”, the paint event is not fired. If I close and reopen the form it correctly repaints. If I add a button to the form that executes: OnePanelInThisForm.Invalidate(); the panel is correctly repaint. What am I missing?

  • Do I really have to call Focus in OnMouseDown of my custom Control?

    - by Thomas
    I'm implementing a custom control that inherits from Control. I want it to be focusable (it's a kind of list box). In the constructor, I do SetStyle(ControlStyles.Selectable, true); I can now use Tab to navigate to the control. However, when the control receives a mouse click, it does not automatically claim focus. I can work around this, of course: protected override void OnMouseDown(MouseEventArgs e) { Focus(); base.OnMouseDown(e); } But this feels like a kludge that should not be necessary. Is this really the way to go? Or is there some way to tell Control to claim focus automatically when it receives a mouse click?

  • Grid overlayed on image using javascript, need help getting grid coordinates.

    - by Alos
    Hi I am fairly new to javascript and could use some help, I am trying to overlay a grid on top of an image and then be able to have the user click on the grid and get the grid coordinate from the box that the user clicked. I have been working with the code from the following stackoverflow question: Creating a grid overlay over image. link text Here is the code that I have so far: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> </script> <script type="text/javascript"> var SetGrid = function(el, sz, nr, nc){ //get number of rows/columns according to the 'grid' size //numcols = el.getSize().x/sz; //numrows = el.getSize().y/sz; numcols = 48; numrows = 32; //create table element for injecting cols/rows var gridTable = new Element('table', { 'id' : 'gridTable', 'styles' : { 'width' : el.getSize().x, 'height' : el.getSize().y, 'top' : el.getCoordinates().top, 'left' : el.getCoordinates().left } }); //inject rows/cols into gridTable for (row = 1; row<=numrows; row++){ thisRow = new Element('tr', { 'id' : row, 'class' : 'gridRow' }); for(col = 1; col<=numcols; col++){ thisCol = new Element('td', { 'id' : col, 'class' : 'gridCol0' }); //each cell gets down/up over event... down starts dragging|up stops|over draws area if down was fired thisCol.addEvents({ 'mousedown' : function(){ dragFlag = true; startRow = this.getParent().get('id'); startCol = this.get('id'); }, 'mouseup' : function(){ dragFlag = false; }, 'mouseover' : function(){ if (dragFlag==true){ this.set('class', 'gridCol'+$$('#lvlSelect .on').get('value')); } }, 'click' : function(){ //this.set('class', 'gridCol'+$$('#lvlSelect .on').get('id').substr(3, 1) ); str = $$('#lvlSelect .on').get('id'); alert(str.substr(2, 3)); } }); thisCol.inject(thisRow, 'bottom'); }; thisRow.inject(gridTable, 'bottom'); }; gridTable.inject(el.getParent()); } //sens level selector func var SetSensitivitySelector = function(el, sz, nr, nc){ $$('#lvlSelect ul li').each(function(el){ el.addEvents({ 'click' : function(){ $$('#lvlSelect ul li').set('class', ''); this.set('class', 'on'); }, 'mouseover' : function(){ el.setStyle('cursor','pointer'); }, 'mouseout' : function(){ el.setStyle('cursor',''); } }); }); } //execute window.addEvent('load', function(){ SetGrid($('imagetomap'), 32); SetSensitivitySelector(); }); var gridSize = { x: 48, y: 32 }; var img = document.getElementById('imagetomap'); img.onclick = function(e) { if (!e) e = window.event; alert(Math.floor(e.offsetX/ gridSize.x) + ', ' + Math.floor(e.offsetY / gridSize.y)); } </script> <style> #imagetomapdiv { float:left; display: block; } #gridTable { border:1px solid red; border-collapse:collapse; position:absolute; z-index:5; } #gridTable td { opacity:0.2; filter:alpha(opacity=20); } #gridTable .gridCol0 { border:1px solid gray; background-color: none; } #gridTable .gridCol1 { border:1px solid gray; background-color: green; } #gridTable .gridCol2 { border:1px solid gray; background-color: blue; } #gridTable .gridCol3 { border:1px solid gray; background-color: yellow; } #gridTable .gridCol4 { border:1px solid gray; background-color: orange; } #gridTable .gridCol5 { border:1px solid gray; background-color: red; } #lvlSelect ul {float: left; display:block; position:relative; margin-left: 20px; padding: 10px; } #lvlSelect ul li { width:40px; text-align:center; display:block; border:1px solid black; position:relative; padding: 10px; list-style:none; opacity:0.2; filter:alpha(opacity=20); } #lvlSelect ul li.on { opacity:1; filter:alpha(opacity=100); } #lvlSelect ul #li0 { background-color: none; } #lvlSelect ul #li1 { background-color: green; } #lvlSelect ul #li2 { background-color: blue; } #lvlSelect ul #li3 { background-color: yellow; } #lvlSelect ul #li4 { background-color: orange; } #lvlSelect ul #li5 { background-color: red; } </style> </div> <div id="lvlSelect"> <ul> <li value="0" id="li0">0</li> <li value="1" id="li1">1</li> <li value="2" id="li2">2</li> <li value="3" id="li3">3</li> <li value="4" id="li4">4</li> <li value="5" id="li5" class="on">5</li> </ul> </div> In this example the grid box changes color when the image is grid box is clicked, but I would like to be able to have the coordinates of the box.   • Creating a grid overlay over image.

    - by neteus
    Hi everybody, I made a script (using mootools library) that is supposed to overlay an image with a table grid and when each grid cell is clicked/dragged over its background color changes 'highlighting' the cell. Current code creates a table and positions it over the element (el, image in this case). Table was used since I am planning to add rectangle select tool later on, and it seemed easiest way to do it. <html> <head> <title></title> <script type="text/javascript" src="mootools.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> var SetGrid = function(el, sz, nr, nc){ //get number of rows/columns according to the 'grid' size numcols = el.getSize().x/sz; numrows = el.getSize().y/sz; //create table element for injecting cols/rows var gridTable = new Element('table', { 'id' : 'gridTable', 'styles' : { 'width' : el.getSize().x, 'height' : el.getSize().y, 'top' : el.getCoordinates().top, 'left' : el.getCoordinates().left } }); //inject rows/cols into gridTable for (row = 1; row<=numrows; row++){ thisRow = new Element('tr', { 'id' : row, 'class' : 'gridRow' }); for(col = 1; col<=numcols; col++){ thisCol = new Element('td', { 'id' : col, 'class' : 'gridCol0' }); //each cell gets down/up over event... down starts dragging|up stops|over draws area if down was fired thisCol.addEvents({ 'mousedown' : function(){ dragFlag = true; startRow = this.getParent().get('id'); startCol = this.get('id'); }, 'mouseup' : function(){ dragFlag = false; }, 'mouseover' : function(){ if (dragFlag==true){ this.set('class', 'gridCol'+$$('#lvlSelect .on').get('value')); } }, 'click' : function(){ //this.set('class', 'gridCol'+$$('#lvlSelect .on').get('id').substr(3, 1) ); str = $$('#lvlSelect .on').get('id'); alert(str.substr(2, 3)); } }); thisCol.inject(thisRow, 'bottom'); }; thisRow.inject(gridTable, 'bottom'); }; gridTable.inject(el.getParent()); } //sens level selector func var SetSensitivitySelector = function(el, sz, nr, nc){ $$('#lvlSelect ul li').each(function(el){ el.addEvents({ 'click' : function(){ $$('#lvlSelect ul li').set('class', ''); this.set('class', 'on'); }, 'mouseover' : function(){ el.setStyle('cursor','pointer'); }, 'mouseout' : function(){ el.setStyle('cursor',''); } }); }); } //execute window.addEvent('load', function(){ SetGrid($('imagetomap'), 32); SetSensitivitySelector(); }); </script> <style> #imagetomapdiv { float:left; display: block; } #gridTable { border:1px solid red; border-collapse:collapse; position:absolute; z-index:5; } #gridTable td { opacity:0.2; filter:alpha(opacity=20); } #gridTable .gridCol0 { border:1px solid gray; background-color: none; } #gridTable .gridCol1 { border:1px solid gray; background-color: green; } #gridTable .gridCol2 { border:1px solid gray; background-color: blue; } #gridTable .gridCol3 { border:1px solid gray; background-color: yellow; } #gridTable .gridCol4 { border:1px solid gray; background-color: orange; } #gridTable .gridCol5 { border:1px solid gray; background-color: red; } #lvlSelect ul {float: left; display:block; position:relative; margin-left: 20px; padding: 10px; } #lvlSelect ul li { width:40px; text-align:center; display:block; border:1px solid black; position:relative; padding: 10px; list-style:none; opacity:0.2; filter:alpha(opacity=20); } #lvlSelect ul li.on { opacity:1; filter:alpha(opacity=100); } #lvlSelect ul #li0 { background-color: none; } #lvlSelect ul #li1 { background-color: green; } #lvlSelect ul #li2 { background-color: blue; } #lvlSelect ul #li3 { background-color: yellow; } #lvlSelect ul #li4 { background-color: orange; } #lvlSelect ul #li5 { background-color: red; } </style> </head> <body> <div id="imagetomapdiv"> <img id="imagetomap" src="1.png"> </div> <div id="lvlSelect"> <ul> <li value="0" id="li0">0</li> <li value="1" id="li1">1</li> <li value="2" id="li2">2</li> <li value="3" id="li3">3</li> <li value="4" id="li4">4</li> <li value="5" id="li5" class="on">5</li> </ul> </div> </body> </html> A 'working' example: http://72.14.186.218/~alex/motion.php There are two problems: while it works just fine in FF, IE and Chrome do not create the table if the page is refreshed. If you go back to directory root and click on the link to the file the grid table is displayed, if you hit 'refresh' button -- the script runs but the table is not injected. Secondly, although the table HTML is injected in IE, it does not display it. I tried adding nbsp's to make sure its not ignored -- to no avail. Any suggestions on improving code or help with the issues is appreciated. Thanks!

  • Why is jQuery so widely adopted versus other Javascript frameworks?

    - by Andrew Moore
    I manage a group of programmers. I do value my employees opinion but lately we've been divided as to which framework to use on web projects. I personally favor MooTools, but some of my team seems to want to migrate to jQuery because it is more widely adopted. That by itself is not enough for me to allow a migration. I have used both jQuery and MooTools. This particular essay tends to reflect how I feel about both frameworks. jQuery is great for DOM Manipulation, but seem to be limited to helping you do that. Feature wise, both jQuery and MooTools allow for easy DOM Selection and Manipulation: // jQuery $('#someContainer div[class~=dialog]') .css('border', '2px solid red') .addClass('critical'); // MooTools $('#someContainer div[class~=dialog]') .setStyle('border', '2px solid red') .addClass('critical'); Both jQuery and MooTools allow for easy AJAX: // jQuery $('#someContainer div[class~=dialog]') .load('/DialogContent.html'); // MooTools (Using shorthand notation, you can also use Request.HTML) $('#someContainer div[class~=dialog]') .load('/DialogContent.html'); Both jQuery and MooTools allow for easy DOM Animation: // jQuery $('#someContainer div[class~=dialog]') .animate({opacity: 1}, 500); // MooTools (Using shorthand notation, you can also use Fx.Tween). $('#someContainer div[class~=dialog]') .set('tween', {duration: 500}) .tween('opacity', 1); jQuery offers the following extras: Large community of supporters Plugin Repository Integration with Microsoft's ASP.NET and VisualStudio Used by Microsoft, Google and others MooTools offers the following extras: Object Oriented Framework with Classic OOP emulation for JS Extended native objects Higher consistency between browsers for native functions support. More easy code reuse Used by The World Wide Web Consortium, Palm and others. Given that, it seems that MooTools does everything jQuery does and more (some things I cannot do in jQuery and I can in MooTools) but jQuery has a smaller learning curve. So the question is, why did you or your team choose jQuery over another JavaScript framework? Note: While I know and admit jQuery is a great framework, there are other options around and I'm trying to take a decision as to why jQuery should be our choice versus what we use right now (MooTools)?

  • Android - drawing path as overlay on MapView

    - by Rabas
    Hello, I have a class that extends Overlay and implemments Overlay.Snappable. I have overriden its draw method: @Override public void draw(Canvas canvas, MapView mv, boolean shadow) { Projection projection = mv.getProjection(); ArrayList<GeoPoint> geoPoints = new ArrayList<GeoPoint>(); //Creating geopoints - ommited for readability Path p = new Path(); for (int i = 0; i < geoPoints.size(); i++) { if (i == geoPoints.size() - 1) { break; } Point from = new Point(); Point to = new Point(); projection.toPixels(geoPoints.get(i), from); projection.toPixels(geoPoints.get(i + 1), to); p.moveTo(from.x, from.y); p.lineTo(to.x, to.y); } Paint mPaint = new Paint(); mPaint.setStyle(Style.FILL); mPaint.setColor(0xFFFF0000); mPaint.setAntiAlias(true); canvas.drawPath(p, mPaint); super.draw(canvas, mv, shadow); } As you can see, I make a list of points on a map and I want them to form a polygonal shape. Now, the problem is that when I set paint style to be FILL or FILL_AND_STROKE nothing shows up on the screen, but when I set it to be just stroke, and set stroke width, it acctually draws what it is supposed to draw. Now, I looked for solution, but nothing comes up. Can you tell me if I something missed to set in the code itself, or are there some sorts of constraints when drawing on Overlay canvases? Thanks

  • Adding visible "Markers" to represent Geopoints to a MapView using ItemizedOverlay in Android

    - by LordSnoutimus
    Hello, I am building an application which stores GPS locations in a SQLite database and then outputs the data onto a MapView using an Overlay by drawing a red line between the points. I want to be able to show graphical markers (images) for each of these points as well as the red line. My code is as follows: public class MyOverlay extends ItemizedOverlay { // private Projection projection; private Paint linePaint; private Vector points; public MyOverlay(Drawable defaultMarker) { super(defaultMarker); points = new Vector<GeoPoint>(); //set colour, stroke width etc. linePaint = new Paint(); linePaint.setARGB(255, 255, 0, 0); linePaint.setStrokeWidth(3); linePaint.setDither(true); linePaint.setStyle(Style.FILL); linePaint.setAntiAlias(true); linePaint.setStrokeJoin(Paint.Join.ROUND); linePaint.setStrokeCap(Paint.Cap.ROUND); } public void addPoint(GeoPoint point) { populate(); points.addElement(point); } //public void setProjection(Projection projection) { // this.projection = projection; // } public void draw(Canvas canvas, MapView view, boolean shadow) { populate(); int size = points.size(); Point lastPoint = new Point(); if(size == 0) return; view.getProjection().toPixels(points.get(0), lastPoint); Point point = new Point(); for(int i = 1; i<size; i++){ view.getProjection().toPixels(points.get(i), point); canvas.drawLine(lastPoint.x, lastPoint.y, point.x, point.y, linePaint); lastPoint = point; } } @Override protected OverlayItem createItem(int arg0) { // TODO Auto-generated method stub return null; } @Override public int size() { // TODO Auto-generated method stub return 0; } } What would be the easiest way to implement adding markers for each GeoPoint? • Overlay only draws line between first 2 GPS points in Android

    - by LordSnoutimus
    Hi, I am experiencing an unusual error using ItemizedOverlay in Android. I am creating a GPS tracking device that plots a route between waypoints stored in a database. When I provide the first two sets of longitude and latitude points through the emulator in Eclipse, it draws a red line just how I want it, but if I send another GPS point, it animates to the point, but does not draw a line from the last point. public class MyOverlay extends ItemizedOverlay { // private Projection projection; private Paint linePaint; private Vector points; public MyOverlay(Drawable defaultMarker) { super(defaultMarker); points = new Vector<GeoPoint>(); //set colour, stroke width etc. linePaint = new Paint(); linePaint.setARGB(255, 255, 0, 0); linePaint.setStrokeWidth(3); linePaint.setDither(true); linePaint.setStyle(Style.FILL); linePaint.setAntiAlias(true); linePaint.setStrokeJoin(Paint.Join.ROUND); linePaint.setStrokeCap(Paint.Cap.ROUND); } public void addPoint(GeoPoint point) { points.addElement(point); } public void draw(Canvas canvas, MapView view, boolean shadow) { int size = points.size(); Point lastPoint = new Point(); if(size == 0) return; view.getProjection().toPixels(points.get(0), lastPoint); Point point = new Point(); for(int i = 1; i<size; i++){ view.getProjection().toPixels(points.get(i), point); canvas.drawLine(lastPoint.x, lastPoint.y, point.x, point.y, linePaint); lastPoint = point; } } @Override protected OverlayItem createItem(int arg0) { // TODO Auto-generated method stub return null; } @Override public int size() { // TODO Auto-generated method stub return 0; } }

    Hi I am creating a View where you can draw on the screen, using a view, where I would like to have a button/titlebar drawn at the top of the screen. Here is my current code public class FingerPaint extends Activity implements ColorPickerDialog.OnColorChangedListener { private Paint mPaint; private MyView mView; @Override protected void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); LinearLayout main = new LinearLayout(this); mView = new MyView(this); main.addView(this.getLayoutInflater().inflate( R.layout.topbar, null )); main.addView(mView); main.bringChildToFront(mView); setContentView(main); // mView.addView(this.getLayoutInflater().inflate( R.layout.topbar, null )); mPaint = new Paint(); mPaint.setAntiAlias(true); mPaint.setDither(true); mPaint.setColor(0xFFFF0000); mPaint.setStyle(Paint.Style.STROKE); mPaint.setStrokeJoin(Paint.Join.ROUND); mPaint.setStrokeCap(Paint.Cap.ROUND); mPaint.setStrokeWidth(12); mBitmaps=new Bitmap[100]; location=0; actualSize=0; mEmboss = new EmbossMaskFilter(new float[] { 1, 1, 1 }, 0.4f, 6, 3.5f); mBlur = new BlurMaskFilter(8, BlurMaskFilter.Blur.NORMAL); setContentView(main); } public class MyView extends View{ ......... } But when run, only the topbar.xml view is shown. I want the status bar from topbar and the rest down to be from the myView (for drawing on the screen like paint). Am I using ViewGroup properly?

    Hi , I was trying to get hold of 2D graphics in Android. As a example i want to implement a custom drawable and show it in my Activity I have defined a customized drawable by extending from Android drawable as mentioned below myDrawable extends Drawable { private static final String TAG = myDrawable.class.getSimpleName(); private ColorFilter cf; @Override public void draw(Canvas canvas) { //First you define a colour for the outline of your rectangle Paint rectanglePaint = new Paint(); rectanglePaint.setARGB(255, 255, 0, 0); rectanglePaint.setStrokeWidth(2); rectanglePaint.setStyle(Style.FILL); //Then create yourself a Rectangle RectF rectangle = new RectF(15.0f, 50.0f, 55.0f, 75.0f); //in pixels Log.d(TAG,"On Draw method"); // TODO Auto-generated method stub Paint paintHandl = new Paint(); // paintHandl.setColor(0xaabbcc); paintHandl.setARGB(125, 234, 213, 34 ); RectF rectObj = new RectF(5,5,25,25); canvas.drawRoundRect(rectangle, 0.5f, 0.5f, rectanglePaint); } @Override public int getOpacity() { // TODO Auto-generated method stub return 100; } @Override public void setAlpha(int alpha) { // TODO Auto-generated method stub } @Override public void setColorFilter(ColorFilter cf) { // TODO Auto-generated method stub this.cf = cf; } } I am trying to get this displayed in my activity, as shown below public class custDrawable extends Activity { /** Called when the activity is first created. */ LinearLayout layObj = null; @Override public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); setContentView(R.layout.main); layObj = (LinearLayout) findViewById(R.id.parentLay); ImageView imageView = (ImageView) findViewById(R.id.icon2); myDrawable myDrawObj = new myDrawable(); imageView.setImageDrawable(myDrawObj); imageView.invalidate(); // layObj.addView(myDrawObj, params); } } But when i run the app i see no rectangle on the activity, can anyone help me out? Where am i going wrong?

  • Flex AS3: Assign a button's upSkin property with a remote file dynamically?

    - by aaron.lovelace
    I am building a Flex application with ActionScript 3. Unfortunately I've hit a wall with this one... I would like to be able to apply an upSkin to my dynamically generated button like this: //this theSkin variable is dynamic in my app, but for this example it's a simple string var theSkin:String = "http://www.mypicturedomain.com/images/myimage.gif"; var navBtn:Button = new Button(); navBtn.id = "thumb1"; navBtn.width = 60; navBtn.height = 45; //skin the button navBtn.setStyle("upSkin", theSkin); //add the button to my canvas myCanvas.addChild(navBtn); When I attempt this, I get this error: TypeError: Error #1034: Type Coercion failed: cannot convert flash.display::Loader@3dac941 to Class. How do I skin this button with my image dynamically? A couple of things to consider: The upSkin image must be remote. It can't be local. The button must be generated dynamically (it's in a for loop). Any help/ideas would be much appreciated at this point!

  • Using cellUpdateEvent with YUI DataTable and JSON DataSource

    - by Rob Hruska
    I'm working with a UI that has a (YUI2) JSON DataSource that's being used to populate a DataTable. What I would like to do is, when a value in the table gets updated, perform a simple animation on the cell whose value changed. Here are some relevant snippets of code: var columns = [ {key: 'foo'}, {key: 'bar'}, {key: 'baz'} ]; var dataSource = new YAHOO.util.DataSource('/someUrl'); dataSource.responseType = YAHOO.util.DataSource.TYPE_JSON; dataSource.connXhrMode = 'queueRequests'; dataSource.responseSchema = { resultsList: 'results', fields: [ {key: 'foo'}, {key: 'bar'}, {key: 'baz'} ] }; var dataTable = new YAHOO.widget.DataTable('container', columns, dataSource); var callback = function() { success: dataTable.onDataReturnReplaceRows, failure: function() { // error handling code }, scope: dataTable }; dataSource.setInterval(1000, null, callback); And here's what I'd like to do with it: dataTable.subscribe('cellUpdateEvent', function(record, column, oldData) { var td = dataTable.getTdEl({record: record, column: column}); YAHOO.util.Dom.setStyle(td, 'backgroundColor', '#ffff00'); var animation = new YAHOO.util.ColorAnim(td, { backgroundColor: { to: '#ffffff'; } }); animation.animate(); }; However, it doesn't seem like using cellUpdateEvent works. Does a cell that's updated as a result of the setInterval callback even fire a cellUpdateEvent? It may be that I don't fully understand what's going on under the hood with DataTable. Perhaps the whole table is being redrawn every time the data is queried, so it doesn't know or care about changes to individual cells?. Is the solution to write my own specific function to replace onDataReturnReplaceRows? Could someone enlighten me on how I might go about accomplishing this? Edit: After digging through datatable-debug.js, it looks like onDataReturnReplaceRows won't fire the cellUpdateEvent. It calls reset() on the RecordSet that's backing the DataTable, which deletes all of the rows; it then re-populates the table with fresh data. I tried changing it to use onDataReturnUpdateRows, but that doesn't seem to work either.
