  • Animate opacity and delay transition CSS

    - by user1876246
    I have a series of DIVS, I want DIV 1 & DIV 3 to fade out and then DIV 2 and DIV 4 to slide left to take their place, 1 second after the fade. So far I have gotten them to fade out but I cannot figure out how to delay the sliding. Follows is my CSS, ignore the lack of vendor prefixes for this question please. .slide-show{ -webkit-animation: fadeShow 0.25s 1 normal forwards ease-out; animation: fadeShow 0.25s 1 normal forwards ease-out; visibility: visible; } .slide-hide{ -webkit-animation: fadeHide 0.25s 1 normal forwards ease-out; animation: fadeHide 0.25s 1 normal forwards ease-out; //I need the following to be delayed for 1 second visibility: hidden; position: absolute; } @keyframes fadeHide{ 0% { opacity: 1; } 100% { opacity: 0; } } @keyframes fadeShow{ 0% { opacity: 0; } 100% { opacity: 1; } }

  • Slow Jquery Animation

    - by Pyronaut
I have this webpage : http://miloarc.pyrogenicmedia.com/ Which atm is nothing special. It has a few effects but none that break the bank. If you mouse over a tile, it should change it's opacity to give it a fade effect. This is done through the Jquery Animation, not through CSS (I do this so it can fade, instead of being a straight change). Everything looks nice when the page loads, and the fades look perfect. Infact if you drag your mouse all over the place, if gives you a "trail" almost like a snake. Anyway, My next problem is that you will see there is a box in the top left, which is going to tell you information about the tile you are hovering over. This seems to work fine. When you mouse over that information box, it switches it's position (So that you can reach the tiles that were previously hidden underneath it). From my understanding, this is all working fine, and to the letter. However, After one move of the info box (One hover). Viewing the page in Firefox turns slugish. As in, after a successful move of the info box, the fade effects become very stuttered, and it doesn't pick up events as fast meaning you can't draw a "trail" on the screen. Chrome doesn't have this issue. It seems to work fine no matter what. Safari also seems ok. Although I do notice if I move my mouse really fast, it does jump a bit but not as much as firefox. Internet explorer doesn't work at all. Seems to crash the browser... And there is an error with the rounded corner plugin im using (Not sure why...). All in all, I think whatever I'm doing inside my code must be heavily sluggish. But I don't know where it is happening. Here is the full code, but I would advise go to the link to view everything. <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function() { var WindowWidth = $(window).width(); var WindowMod = WindowWidth % 20; var WindowWidth = WindowWidth - WindowMod; var BoxDimension = WindowWidth / 20; var BoxDimensionFixed = BoxDimension - 12; var dimensions = BoxDimensionFixed + 'px'; $('.gamebutton').each(function(i) { $(this).css('width', dimensions); $(this).css('height', dimensions); }); var OuterDivHeight = BoxDimension * 10; var TopMargin = ($(window).height() - OuterDivHeight) / 2; var OuterDivWidth = BoxDimension * 20; var LeftMargin = ($(window).width() - OuterDivWidth) / 2; $('#gamePort').css('margin-top', TopMargin).css('margin-left', LeftMargin).css('margin-right', LeftMargin); $('.gamebutton img').each(function(i) { $(this).hover( function () { $(this).animate({'opacity': 0.65}); }, function () { $(this).animate({'opacity': 1}); } ); }); $('.rounded').corners(); $('.gamebutton').each(function(i) { $(this).hover(function() { $('.gameTitlePopup').html($(this).attr('title')); FadeActive(); }); }); function FadeActive() { $('.activeInfo').fadeIn('slow'); } $('#gameInfoLeft').hover(function() { $(this).removeClass('activeInfo'); $(this).fadeOut('slow', function() { $('#gameInfoRight').addClass('activeInfo'); FadeActive(); }); }); $('#gameInfoRight').hover(function() { $(this).removeClass('activeInfo'); $(this).fadeOut('slow', function() { $('#gameInfoLeft').addClass('activeInfo'); FadeActive(); }); }); }); </script> Thanks for any help :).

  • css transition initial value

    - by nizzle
I would like to animate a div from right to left. I cannot use a stylesheet because I don't know the amount of px. If I set the initial value (where the animation starts from) and the end-value in the same function, it doesn't work. //DOES NOT WORK $("#hi").css({"width" : "200px", "transform" : "translateX(500px)"}); $("#hi").css({"transition" : "all 5s ease-out", "transform" : "translateX(0px)"}); //WORKS $("#alsohi").css({"width" : "200px", "transform" : "translateX(500px)"}); setTimeout(function(){ $("#alsohi").css({"transition" : "all 5s ease-out", "transform" : "translateX(0px)"}); }, 50); as you can see in this fiddle: http://jsfiddle.net/c66Fb/ what is a better solution to this than using a timeout?

  • Any way to make dialogs appear/disappear with a transition in MFC?

    - by John
For instance I have a main dialog, when I click a button a smaller dialog appears next to it. But it would be neat if the small one could somehow transition in, rather than simply appear. For instance using transparency, or zooming in, or sliding in from width=0 - full-width. Making an actual dialog do such things isn't too hard, but what about the controls within it? How might we approach this in a way that is reusable on different dialogs?

  • How can I create masking like this in AS3?

    - by Ólafur Waage
I've worked a little bit with masks in AS3 but I'm not sure how I can do this with masks. I have two swf files that I have imported onto the Library as MC's with class names. One of the files is the start image and the other is the end image. The transition is a slide transition from the start image to the end image. You can think of the transition like in this example. But is it possible to do a slide transition like this using two swf's and "slide transitioning" between them?

  • How to make smooth transition from a WebBrowser control to an Image in Silverlight 4?

    - by Trex
Hi, I have the following XAML on my page: `<Grid x:Name="LayoutRoot"> <Viewbox Stretch="Uniform"> <Image x:Name="myImage" /> </Viewbox> <WebBrowser x:Name="myBrowser" /> </Grid>` and then in the codebehind I'm switching the visibility between the image and the browser content: myBrowser.Visibility = Visibility.Collapsed; myImage.Source = new BitmapImage(new Uri(p)); myImage.Visibility = Visibility.Visible; and myImage.Visibility = Visibility.Collapsed; myBrowser.Source = new Uri(myPath + p, UriKind.Absolute); myBrowser.Visibility = Visibility.Visible; This works fine, but what the client now wants is a smooth transition between when the Image is shown and when the browser is shown. I tried several approaches but always ran into dead end. Do you have any ideas? I tried setting two states using the VSM and than displaying a white rectangle on top as an overlay, before the swap takes place, but that didn't work (I guess it's because nothing can be placed above the WebBroser???) I tried setting the Visibility of the image control and the webbrowser control using the VSM, but that didn't work either. I really don't know what else to try to solve this simple task. Any help is greatly appreciated. Jan

  • Speed up dialog/page transitions in jQuery Mobile on iPhone?

    - by Crashalot
There are other SO questions on speeding up jQuery Mobile for Android, but does anyone know how to accelerate page transitions on iPhones, specifically dialog transitions? We're on JQM 1.0. JQM 1.1 is supposed to speed up page transitions (though we haven't seen any demos yet), but we're wondering if anyone has done anything for JQM 1.0. Right now, there is a two second delay, which is too much to show a dialog. We resort to one of two options. Using no animation for the page transition, which provides instant feedback, or rolling our own by binding to "touchstart" and animating the dialog, which is really just a big DIV inside the current page. Neither is ideal. Suggestions?

  • How do you deal with transitions in animating walking?

    - by Aerovistae
I'm pretty new to this whole animating models thing. Just learning the ropes. I got a nice walking animation going, which I can loop while a character is walking, but what about when they stop walking? I mean, they could be at any point in the animation at the time the player stops walking. How do I get them to smoothly return to a standing still position without having them snap into that position? The same goes for starting walking from a standing still position. Do you need a separate animation? How is this dealt with?

  • Do Ruby/Rails state machines exist that execute event transitions when a state change occurs?

    - by Bryan
Hello All, Hopefully this isn't a silly question and I'm just not overlooking something in Ruby/Rails state machines (AASM, Transitions, AlterEgo, etc). From what I can tell, these state machine implementations operate on the preface that an event will get fired and the appropriate transition for that event will be triggered based on the old and new state. However, they don't seem to work the other way; say a user wants to change state from 'created' to 'assigned' and have the correct transition occur (rather than firing the event that causes the current state to be transitioned to the new state). Essentially, I want the user to be able to select a new state from a select box of available states and have the appropriate transition, guards, success callbacks, etc executed. Does anyone know if the existing state machine implementations support this?

  • How to find whole graph coverage path in dynamic state-flow diagram?

    - by joseph
Hello, As I've been researching algorithms for path finding in graph, I found interesting problem. Definition of situation: 1)State diagram can have p states, and s Boolean Fields, and z Int Fields 2)Every state can have q ingoing and r outgoing transitions, and h Int fields (h belongs to z - see above) 3)Every transition can have only 1 event, and only 1 action 4)every action can change n Boolean Fields, and x Int Fields 5)every event can have one trigger from combination of any count of Boolean Fields in diagram 6)Transition can be in OPEN/CLOSED form. If the transition is open/closed depends on trigger2 compounded from 0..c Boolean fields. 7) I KNOW algorithm for finding shortest paths from state A to state B. 8) I KNOW algorithm for finding path that covers all states and transitions of whole state diagram, if all transitions are OPEN. Now, what is the goal: I need to find shortest path that covers all states and transitions in dynamically changing state diagram described above. When an action changes some int field, the algorithm should go through all states that have changed int field. The algorithm should also be able to open and close transition (by going through transitions that open and close another transitions by action) in the way that the founded path will be shortest and covers all transitions and states. Any idea how to solve it? I will be really pleased for ANY idea. Thanks for answers.

  • Any tricks to stop flickering in between page transitions?

    - by SLC
Specifically, I am using a .hta to display pages. As the content is local, pages load instantly, but there is flicker as they redraw. Are there any tricks you can use to stop it flickering or reduce the effect? I heard somewhere that page transition effects can help, but does anyone have any ideas? Keep in mind that as its a .hta file, I have more flexibility, and can run vbscript etc. and do fancy things.

  • View controller/NIB architecture for non-navigation application with transitions?

    - by Ben
I'm tinkering with an app that doesn't use the UINavigation root view control system, so I don't have natural ownership for each app "view". I essentially have two basic views, a document list view, and a document edit view. I'm playing with UIView animation for getting from a selected document to the edit view. I also have a toolbar that exists in both "views". Because I don't have UINavigation running the show for me, I have a tendency to just throw more and more stuff into one NIB and one view controller that owns the whole container. But now I'm trying to figure out how to segue from the document list view to the edit view if the edit view lives inside a different NIB, preserving the toolbar too. Anyone have thoughts or experience on app structures like this? I find the docs lacking on best practices around code/UI structure for anything except trivial one-screen apps or full-on navigation apps. Thanks!

  • Turn Photos and Home Videos into Movies with Windows Live Movie Maker

    - by DigitalGeekery
Are you looking for an easy way to take your digital photos and videos and turn them into a movie or slideshow? Today we’ll take a detailed look at how to do use Windows Live Movie Maker. Installation Windows Live Movie Maker comes bundled as part of the Windows Live Essentials suite (link below). However, you don’t have to install any of the programs you may not want. Take notice of the You’re almost done screen. Before clicking Continue, be sure to uncheck the boxes to set your search provider and homepage. Adding Pictures and Videos Open Windows Live Movie Maker. You can add videos or photos by simply dragging and dropping them onto the storyboard area. You can also click on the storyboard area or on the Add videos and photos button on the Home tab to browse for videos and photos. Windows Live Movie Maker supports most video, image, and audio file types. Select your files and add click Open to add them to Windows Live Movie Maker. By default WLMM doesn’t allow you to add files from network locations…so check out our article on how to add network support to Windows Live MovieMaker if the files you want to add are on a network drive. Layout All of your added clips will appear in the storyboard area on the right, while the currently selected clip will appear in the preview window on the left. You can adjust the size of the two areas by clicking and dragging the dividing line in the middle.    Make the clips on the storyboard bigger or smaller by clicking on the thumbnail size icon. The slider at the lower right adjusts the zoom time scale.   Previewing your Movie At any time, you can playback your movie and preview how it will look in the Preview window by clicking the space bar, or by pushing the play button under the preview window. You can also manually move the preview bar slider across the storyboard to view the clips as the video progresses. Adjusting Clips on the Storyboard You can click and drag clips on the storyboard to change the order in which the photos and videos appear.   Adding Music Nothing brings a movie to life quite like music. Selecting Add music will add your music to the beginning of the movie. Select Add music at the current point to include it in the movie to the current location of your preview bar slider, then browse for your music clip. WLMM supports many common audio files such as WAV, MP3, M4A, WMA, AIFF, and ASF. The music clip will appear above the video / photos clips on the storyboard.   You can change the location of music clips by clicking and dragging them to a different location on the storyboard. Add Titles, Captions, and Credits To add a Title screen to your movie, click the Title button on the Home tab. Type your title directly into the text box on the preview screen. The title will be placed at the location of the preview slider on the storyboard. However, you can change the location by clicking and dragging title to other areas of the storyboard. On the Format tab, there are a handful of text settings. You can change the font, color, size, alignment,  and transparency. The Adjust group allows you to change the background color, edit the text, and set the length of time the Title will appear in the movie.   The Effects group on the Format tab allows you to select an effect for your title screen. By hovering your cursor over each option, you will get a live preview of how each effect will appear in the preview window. Click to apply any of the effects. For captions, select where you want your caption to appear with the preview slider on the storyboard, then click the captions button on the Home tab. Just like the title, you type your caption directly into the text box on the preview screen, and you can make any adjustments by using the Font and Paragraph, Adjust, and Effects groups above. Credits are done the same as titles and captions, except they are automatically placed at the end of the movie.   Transitions Go to the Animation tab on the ribbon to apply transitions. Select a clip from the storyboard and hover over one of the transition to see it in the preview window. Click on the transition to apply it to the clip. You can apply transitions separately to clips or hold down Ctrl button while clicking to select multiple clips to which to apply the same transition. Pan and zoom effects are also located on the Animations tab, but can be applied to photos only. Like transition, you can apply them individually to a clip or hold down Ctrl button while clicking to select multiple clips to which to apply the same pan and zoom effect. Once applied, you can adjust the duration of the transitions and pan and zoom effects. You can also click the dropdown for additional transitions or effects. Visual Effects Similar to Pan and Zoom and Transitions, you can apply a variety of Visual Effects to individual or multiple clips. Editing Video and Music Note: This does not actually edit the original video you imported into your Windows Live Movie Maker project, only how it appears in your WLMM project. There are some very basic editing tools located on the Home tab. The Rotate left and Rotate right button will adjust any clip that may be oriented incorrectly. The Fit to music button will automatically adjust the duration of the photos (if you have any in your project) to fit the length of the music in your movie. Audio mix allows you to change the volume level   You can also do some slightly more advanced editing from the Edit tab. Select the video clip on the storyboard and click the Trim tool to edit or remove portions of a video clip. Next, click and drag the sliders in the preview windows to select the are you wish to keep. For example, the area outside the sliders is the area trimmed from the movie. The area inside is the section that is kept in the movie. You can also adjust the Start and End points manually on the ribbon.   When you are finished, click Save trim. You can also split your video clips. Move the preview slider to the location in the video clip where you’d like to split it, and select Split. Your video will be split into separate sections. Now you can apply different effects or move them to different locations on the storyboard. Editing Music Clips Select the music clip on the storyboard and then the Options tab on the ribbon. You can adjust the music volume by moving the slider right and left.   You can also choose to have your music clip fade in or out at the beginning and end of your movie. From the Fade in and Fade out dropdowns, select None, Slow, Medium, or Fast. To adjust the sound of your audio clips, click on the Edit tab, select the Video volume button, and adjust the slider. Move it all the way to the left to mute any background noise in your video clips.   AutoMovie As you have seen, Windows Live Movie Maker allows you to add effects, transitions, titles, and more. If you don’t want to do any of that stuff yourself, AutoMovie will automatically add title, credits, cross fade transitions between items, pan and zoom effects to photos, and fit your project to the music. Just select the AutoMovie button on the Home tab. You can go from zero to movie in literally a couple minutes.   Uploading to YouTube You can share your video on YouTube directly from Windows Live Movie Maker. Click on the YouTube icon in the Sharing group on the Home tab. You’ll be prompted for your YouTube username and password. Fill in the details about your movie and click Publish. The movie will be converted to WMV before being uploaded to YouTube. As soon as the YouTube conversion is complete, you’re new movie is live and ready to be viewed. Saving your Movie as a Video File Select the icon at the top left, then select Save movie. As you hover your mouse over each of the options, you will see the output display size, aspect ratio, and estimated file size per minute of video. All of these settings will output your movie as a WMV file. (Unfortunately, the only option is to save a movie as a WMV file.) The only difference is how they are encoded based on preset common settings. The Burn to DVD option also outputs a WMV file, but then opens Windows DVD Maker and walks you through the process of creating and burning a DVD.   If you choose the Burn to DVD option, close this window when the WMV file conversion is complete and the Windows DVD Maker will prompt you to begin. When your movie is finished, it’s time to relax and enjoy.   Conclusion Windows Live Movie Maker makes it easy for the average person to quickly churn out nice looking movies and slideshows from there own pictures and videos. However, long time users of previous editions (formerly called Windows Movie Maker) will likely be disappointed by some features missing in Windows Live Movie Maker that existed in earlier editions. • Modeling player mechanics with a finite state machine

    - by K..
I have three states standing walking jumping When I press D standing transitions to walking. The velocity will be set to a defined value and the player moves. When I release D walking transitions back to standing, which sets the velocity back to 0. When I press W and the state is walking it transitions to jumping, but when the player hits the ground, it goes back to standing. jumping has a transition land that always leads to standing because a state doesn't know about its previous states. Since standing sets a velocity of 0 the player stops walking, when he hits the ground. How do I prevent this?

  • Dynamic State Machine in Ruby? Do State Machines Have to be Classes?

    - by viatropos
Question is, are state machines always defined statically (on classes)? Or is there a way for me to have it so each instance of the class with has it's own set of states? I'm checking out Stonepath for implementing a Task Engine. I don't really see the distinction between "states" and "tasks" in there, so I'm thinking I could just map a Task directly to a state. This would allow me to be able to define task-lists (or workflows) dynamically, without having to do things like: aasm_event :evaluate do transitions :to => :in_evaluation, :from => :pending end aasm_event :accept do transitions :to => :accepted, :from => :pending end aasm_event :reject do transitions :to => :rejected, :from => :pending end Instead, a WorkItem (the main workflow/task manager model), would just have many tasks. Then the tasks would work like states, so I could do something like this: aasm_initial_state :initial tasks.each do |task| aasm_state task.name.to_sym end previous_state = nil tasks.each do |tasks| aasm_event task.name.to_sym do transitions :to => "#{task.name}_phase".to_sym, :from => previous_state ? "#{task.name}_phase" : "initial" end previous_state = state end However, I can't do that with the aasm gem because those methods (aasm_state and aasm_event) are class methods, so every instance of the class with that state machine has the same states. I want it so a "WorkItem" or "TaskList" dynmically creates a sequence of states and transitions based on the tasks it has. This would allow me to dynamically define workflows and just have states map to tasks. Are state machines ever used like this?

  • Jquery Cycle Plugin Question - turning off relative links to photos so it goes to a URL

  • Is there a good digraph layout library callable from C++?

    - by Steve314
The digraphs represent finite automata. Up until now my test program has been writing out dot files for testing. This is pretty good both for regression testing (keep the verified output files in subversion, ask it if there has been a change) and for visualisation. However, there are some problems... Basically, I want something callable from C++ and which plans a layout for my states and transitions but leaves the drawing to me - something that will allow me to draw things however I want and draw on GUI (wxWidgets) windows. I also want a license which will allow commercial use - I don't need that at present, and I may very well release as open source, but I don't want to limit my options ATM. The problems with GraphViz are (1) the warnings about building from source on Windows, (2) all the unnecessary dependencies for rendering and parsing, and (3) the (presumed) lack of a documented API specifically and purely for layout. Basically, I want to be able to specify my states (with bounding rectangle sizes) and transitions, and read out positions for the states and waypoints for each transition, then draw based on those co-ordinates myself. I haven't really figured out how annotations on transitions should be handled, but there should be some kind of provision for specifying bounding-box-sizes for those, associating them with transitions, and reading out positions. Does anyone know of a library that can handle those requirements? I'm not necessarily against implementing something for myself, but in this case I'd rather avoid it if possible.

  • What makes for a good JIRA workflow with a software development team?

    - by Hari Seldon
I am migrating my team from a snarl of poorly managed excel documents, individual checklists, and personal emails to manage our application issues and development tasks to a new JIRA project. My team and I are new to JIRA (and issue tracking software in general). My team is skeptical of the transition at best, so I am also trying not to scare them off by introducing something overly complex at the start. I understand one of JIRA's strengths to be the customized workflows that can be created for a project. I've looked over the JIRA documentation and a number of tutorials, and am comfortable with the how in creating workflows, but I need some contextual What to go along with it. What makes a particular workflow work well? What does a poorly designed workflow look like? What are the benefits/drawbacks of a strict workflow with very specific states and transitions to a looser workflow, with fewer, broader defined states and transitions

I've been looking at Unity 3D for developing a 3D PC game and I really like the scene editor and how it simplifies the process of constructing 3D scenes, managing assets, animations, transitions etc. However, I don't want to restrict myself to using the Unity 3D scripts for handling every bit of game logic in the game. E.g. If I want to construct a RPG dialogue system I don't want to do it with unity 3d scripts - I'd like to use C#/.net. Also, I might want to use e.g. windows azure and sql azure as backend, and use 3rd party .net libraries such as reactive-extensions etc. Is there a .net engine out there that helps me with asset loading, animations, physics, transitions, etc. with a scene editor, but allow me to plug it into a visual studio .net project? Thanks

  • Help needed with Flash AS2 to AS3 conversion, having major problems...

    - by Mat
Hi all, I have a project i need to update form AS2 to AS3 as i need some of the new functions available for vertical centering of text. My current AS2 code on the time line is as follows. var dataField = _root.dataField; var dataType = _root.dataType; var dataPage = _root.dataPage; var dataVar = _root.dataVar; _root.mc.onRelease = function() { getURL("index.php?page="+dataPage+"&num="+dataNum+"&"+dataType+"="+dataVar, "_self"); }; And my external AS file is as follows. import mx.transitions.Tween; /** * * StandardKey is attached to a movieclip in the library. * It handles the basic button behavior of the keyboard keys. * When each button is placed on the stage, it's instance name * will be the unique ID of the key. * */ class StandardKey extends MovieClip { /////////////////////////////////////// //Stage Elements var highlight:MovieClip; //End Stage Elements var highlightTween:Tween; function StandardKey(Void) { //Repaint the key with 0 alpha highlight._alpha = 0; } function onPress(Void):Void { //Do the highlight animation highlightTween.stop(); highlightTween = new Tween(highlight, "_alpha", mx.transitions.easing.Regular.easeInOut, 100, 0, 10, false); } } Here is my attempt at moving timeline and external AS2 to AS3 Timeline i now have : var dataField = this.dataField; var dataType = this.dataType; var dataPage = this.dataPage; var dataVar = this.dataVar; var dataNum = this.dataNum; _root.mc.onRelease = function() { navigateToURL(new URLRequest("index.php?page="+dataPage+"&num="+dataNum+"&"+dataType+"="+dataVar, "_self")); }; External AS3 i have package { import fl.transitions.Tween; import fl.transitions.easing.*; import flash.display.MovieClip; /** * * StandardKey is attached to a movieclip in the library. * It handles the basic button behavior of the keyboard keys. * When each button is placed on the stage, it's instance name * will be the unique ID of the key. * */ public class StandardKey extends MovieClip { /////////////////////////////////////// //Stage Elements var highlight:MovieClip; //End Stage Elements var highlightTween:Tween; public function StandardKey(Void) { //Repaint the key with 0 alpha highlight._alpha = 0; } public function onPress(Void):void { //Do the highlight animation highlightTween.stop(); highlightTween = new Tween(highlight, "_alpha", fl.transitions.easing.Regular.easeInOut, 100, 0, 10, false); } } } The errors i am currently getting are : Scene 1, Layer 'Label', Frame 1, Line 6 1120: Access of undefined property _root. Scene 1, Layer 'Label', Frame 1, Line 7 1137: Incorrect number of arguments. Expected no more than 1. If any one could help me work this out i would appreciate it very much. Kind regards Mat.

  • Using HTML Canvas for UI elements?

    - by Tower
Hi, I have a couple of UI elements such as buttons in my web application. I was going to use CSS3's transitions to animate the transition from one background-image to another. I figured out that it's not possible with the current transitions draft at least. So, I was wondering if it would make sense to use Canvas as the button. I'm sure it can handle events, so, I see no problems here. Are there any?
