  • redirecting back to php file

    - by tooepic
    hello again, following code is my php file that will list the people in my text file. <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head> <title>viewlist php</title> </head> <body> <h1>List</h1> <?php $file = file("peoplelist.txt"); for($i=0; $i<count($file); $i++) { $person = explode(",", $file[$i]); echo "<hr />"; echo "<table cellspacing=10><tr><td>", $i+1,".", "</td>"; echo "<td>", $person[0], "<br />"; echo $person[1], "</td></tr></table>"; } ?> <hr /> <p> <a href="sortatoz.php" target="_self">Sort A-Z</a><br /> <a href="sortztoa.php" target="_self">Sort Z-A</a><br /> </p> </body> </html> what i want to do is, when i click Sort A-Z link, the file called sortatoz.php will sort the list in my text file and redirect back to viewlist.php with the list in sort order. below is my sortatoz.php: <?php header("Location: http://myserver/workspace/viewlist.php"); ?> <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head> <title>sort a to z</title> </head> <h1>List</h1> <body> <?php $file = file("peoplelist.txt"); sort($file); for($i=0; $i<count($file); $i++) { $person = explode(",", $file[$i]); echo "<hr />"; echo "<table cellspacing=10><tr><td>", $i+1,".", "</td>"; echo "<td>", $person[0], "<br />"; echo $person[1], "</td></tr></table>"; } ?> <hr /> <p> <a href="sortvisitorsascending.php" target="_self">Sort Visitors A-Z</a><br /> <a href="sortvisitorsdescending.php" target="_self">Sort Visitors Z-A</a><br /> </p> </body> </html> now, when i click Sort A-Z link, it redirects back to viewlist.php...so I'm assuming the header() function is doing it's job. but the problem is...it's not sorting. i am very new with this, so bear with me and give me some guidance please. what can i do to my codes to redirect back viewlist.php with sorted list? thanks in advance.

  • Using an XML Catalog with a Java library that uses JAXP internally

    - by Brian Ferris
    I'm using the Apache web service xml rpc library to make requests to an rpc service. Somewhere in that process is a xml document with a DTD reference to http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd, which the library attempts to download when parsing the XML. That download fails with a 503 status code because the w3c is blocking repeated downloads of this largely static document from Java clients. The solution is XML Catalogs to locally cache the DTD. However, while I can find examples of setting an EntityHandler on a JAXP SAXParser instance directly to enable catalog parser support, I don't actually have access to the underlying parser here. It's just being used by the xml rpc library. Is there any way I can set a global property or something that will tell JAXP to use XML catalogs?

    I'm trying to post to a form using jQuery and read the results of the posted page. • JSF2 - Why does render response not rerender component setting?

    - by fekete-kamosh
    From the tutorial: "If the request is a postback and errors were encountered during the apply request values phase, process validations phase, or update model values phase, the original page is rendered during Render response phase" (http://java.sun.com/javaee/5/docs/tutorial/doc/bnaqq.html) Does it mean that if view is restored in "Restore View" phase and then any apply request/validation/update model phase fails and skips to "Render response" that Render response only passes restored view without any changes to client? • autocomplete attribute is not passing XHTML 1.0 Transitional validation, why?

    - by rsturim
    I'm trying to cleanup my xhtml validation -- I'm running my pages through the W3C validator. For some puzzling reason it's not passing on input fields with the autocomplete="off" attribute: <input name="kwsearch" id="sli_search_1" type="text" autocomplete="off" onfocus="if(this.defaultValue==this.value) this.value='';" onblur="if(this.value=='')this.value=this.defaultValue;" class="searchbox" value="Search" /> I'm using this doctype: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en" lang="en"> And this is the validation error: Line 410, Column 81: there is no attribute "autocomplete" …li_search_1" type="text" autocomplete="off" onfocus="if(this.defaultValue==thi… I thought this was okay with the W3C -- but, maybe it's still in "submission" phase? http://www.w3.org/Submission/web-forms2/#autocomplete Thoughts?

  • How to make IE 9 Standards Mode the default mode?

    - by Evik James
    I have a web site that works perfectly fine in IE9 when compatibility mode is turned OFF (the compatibility symbol is gray). When compatibility mode is turned on (blue), the jQuery doesn't work at all. I have added the following tag to the site to tell the browser that compatibility mode should NOT be used. <meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=Edge" > I have the doctype as this: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> Still, the browser doesn't seem to default to standard mode and the user must manually ensure that they are NOT in compatibility mode. Can I disable IE 9 Compatibility Mode? Have I done what I need to do to disable IE 9 Compatibility Mode? Can the user always override IE 9 Standards Mode?

  • Trying to parse xml, but xmldocument.loadxml() is trying to download?

    - by maxp
    I have a string input that i do not know whether or not is valid xml. I think the simplest aprroach is to wrap new XmlDocument().LoadXml(strINPUT); In a try/catch. The problem im facing is, sometimes strINPUT is an html file, if the header of this file contains <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC ""-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN"" ""http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd""> <html xml:lang=""en-GB"" xmlns=""http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"" lang=""en-GB""> ...like many do, it actually tries to make a connection to the w3.org url, which i really dont want it doing. Anyone know if its possible to just parse the string without trying to be clever and checking external urls? Failing that is there an alternative to xmldocument?

  • last-child CSS issues

Any ideas peeps?

  • W3 Validation errors..

    - by Kyle Sevenoaks
    I have 12 errors, but some are just pure non existent. Doctype: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> Here's the error report, but the "duplicate specification of attribute "value"" simply isn't true according to my .tpl: {textfield class="quetext" value="Epost*" onblur="if(this.value=='') this.value='Epost*';" onfocus="if(this.value=='Epost*') this.value='';"} Also, does a textarea require the attribute "rows" and "cols"? I thought that was only for tables? And I don't understand what the two errors at the end mean: Line 586, Column 80: Attribute value redefined... Please help! Thanks :) (Sorry if things chop and change, I'm working on the valdiation now, to tidy up as many errors as possible.)

  • CDI @Conversation not propagated with handleNavigation()

    - by Thomas Kernstock
    I have a problem with the propagation of a long runnig conversation when I redirect the view by the handleNavigation() method. Here is my test code: I have a conversationscoped bean and two views: conversationStart.xhtml is called in Browser with URL http://localhost/tests/conversationStart.jsf?paramTestId=ParameterInUrl <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xmlns:h="http://java.sun.com/jsf/html" xmlns:f="http://java.sun.com/jsf/core"> <f:metadata> <f:viewParam name="paramTestId" value="#{conversationTest.fieldTestId}" /> <f:event type="preRenderView" listener="#{conversationTest.preRenderView}" /> </f:metadata> <h:head> <title>Conversation Test</title> </h:head> <h:body> <h:form> <h2>Startpage Test Conversation with Redirect</h2> <h:messages /> <h:outputText value="Testparameter: #{conversationTest.fieldTestId}"/><br /> <h:outputText value="Logged In: #{conversationTest.loggedIn}"/><br /> <h:outputText value="Conversation ID: #{conversationTest.convID}"/><br /> <h:outputText value="Conversation Transient: #{conversationTest.convTransient}"/><br /> <h:commandButton action="#{conversationTest.startLogin}" value="Login ->" rendered="#{conversationTest.loggedIn==false}" /><br /> <h:commandLink action="/tests/conversationLogin.xhtml?faces-redirect=true" value="Login ->" rendered="#{conversationTest.loggedIn==false}" /><br /> </h:form> <h:link outcome="/tests/conversationLogin.xhtml" value="Login Link" rendered="#{conversationTest.loggedIn==false}"> <f:param name="cid" value="#{conversationTest.convID}"></f:param> </h:link> </h:body> </html> The Parameter is written to the beanfield and displayed in the view correctly. There are 3 different possibilites to navigate to the next View. All 3 work fine. The beanfield shows up the next view (conversationLogin.xhtml) too: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xmlns:h="http://java.sun.com/jsf/html" xmlns:f="http://java.sun.com/jsf/core"> <h:head> <title>Conversation Test</title> </h:head> <h:body> <h:form> <h2>Loginpage Test Conversation with Redirect</h2> <h:messages /> <h:outputText value="Testparameter: #{conversationTest.fieldTestId}"/><br /> <h:outputText value="Logged In: #{conversationTest.loggedIn}"/><br /> <h:outputText value="Conversation ID: #{conversationTest.convID}"/><br /> <h:outputText value="Conversation Transient: #{conversationTest.convTransient}"/><br /> <h:commandButton action="#{conversationTest.login}" value="Login And Return" /><br /> </h:form> </h:body> </html> When I return to the Startpage by clicking the button the conversation bean still contains all values. So everything is fine. Here is the bean: package test; import java.io.Serializable; import javax.annotation.PostConstruct; import javax.enterprise.context.Conversation; import javax.enterprise.context.ConversationScoped; import javax.faces.event.ComponentSystemEvent; import javax.inject.Inject; import javax.inject.Named; @Named @ConversationScoped public class ConversationTest implements Serializable{ private static final long serialVersionUID = 1L; final String CONVERSATION_NAME="longRun"; @Inject Conversation conversation; private boolean loggedIn; private String fieldTestId; @PostConstruct public void init(){ if(conversation.isTransient()){ conversation.begin(CONVERSATION_NAME); System.out.println("New Conversation started"); } loggedIn=false; } public String getConvID(){ return conversation.getId(); } public boolean isConvTransient(){ return conversation.isTransient(); } public boolean getLoggedIn(){ return loggedIn; } public String startLogin(){ return "/tests/conversationLogin.xhtml?faces-redirect=true"; } public String login(){ loggedIn=true; return "/tests/conversationStart.xhtml?faces-redirect=true"; } public void preRenderView(ComponentSystemEvent ev) { // if(!loggedIn){ // System.out.println("Will redirect to Login"); // FacesContext ctx = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance(); // ctx.getApplication().getNavigationHandler().handleNavigation(ctx, null, "/tests/conversationLogin.xhtml?faces-redirect=true"); // ctx.renderResponse(); // } } public void setFieldTestId(String fieldTestId) { System.out.println("fieldTestID was set to: "+fieldTestId); this.fieldTestId = fieldTestId; } public String getFieldTestId() { return fieldTestId; } } Now comes the problem !! As soon as I try to redirect the page in the preRenderView method of the bean (just uncomment the code in the method), using handleNavigation() the bean is created again in the next view instead of using the allready created instance. Although the cid parameter is propagated to the next view ! Has anybody an idea what's wrong ? best regards Thomas

  • how do I use html block snippets with dynamic content inside a django template that extends another

    - by stackoverflowusername
    Hi. Can someone please help me figure out a way to achieve the following (see snippets below) in Django templates? I know that you cannot use more than one extends, but I am new to django and I do not know the proper syntax for something like this. I want to be able to do this so that I can use my nested div layout for css reasons without having to type it like that each time and risking a typo. In words, I want to be able to have a page template extend my base.html file and then use html snippets of dynamic template content (i.e. template for loops or other template logic devices, not just a context variable I set from my view controller). ------------------------------------------------------------ base.html ------------------------------------------------------------ <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en" lang="en"> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html;charset=utf-8" /> <title>{% block title %}Title{% endblock %}</title> </head> <body> <div class="wrapper"> <div class="header"> This is the common header </div> <div class="nav"> This is the common nav </div> {% if messages %} <div class="messages"> <ul> {% for message in messages %} <li{% if message.tags %} class="{{ message.tags }}"{% endif %}>{{ message }}</li> {% endfor %} </ul> </div> {% endif %} <div class="content"> {% block content %}Page Content{% endblock %} </div> <div class="footer"> This is the common footer </div> </div> </body> </html> ------------------------------------------------------------ columnlayout2.html ------------------------------------------------------------ <div class="twocol container2"> <div class="container1"> <div class="col1"> {% block twocol_col1 %}{% endblock %} </div> <div class="col2"> {% block twocol_col2 %}{% endblock %} </div> </div> </div> ------------------------------------------------------------ columnlayout3.html ------------------------------------------------------------ <div class="threecol container3"> <div class="container2"> <div class="container1"> <div class="col1"> {% block threecol_col1 %}{% endblock %} </div> <div class="col2"> {% block threecol_col2 %}{% endblock %} </div> <div class="col3"> {% block threecol_col3 %}{% endblock %} </div> </div> </div> </div> ------------------------------------------------------------ page.html ------------------------------------------------------------ {% extends "base.html" %} {% block content %} {% extends "columnlayout2.html" %} {% block twocol_col1 %}twocolumn column 1{% endblock %} {% block twocol_col2 %}twocolumn column 2{% endblock %} {% extends "columnlayout3.html" %} {% block threecol_col1 %}threecol column 1{% endblock %} {% block threecol_col2 %}threecol column 2{% endblock %} {% block threecol_col3 %}threecol column 3{% endblock %} {% endblock %} ------------------------------------------------------------ page.html output ------------------------------------------------------------ <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en" lang="en"> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html;charset=utf-8" /> <title>Title</title> </head> <body> <div class="wrapper"> <div class="header"> This is the common header </div> <div class="nav"> This is the common nav </div> <div class="content"> <div class="twocol container2"> <div class="container1"> <div class="col1"> twocolumn column 1 </div> <div class="col2"> twocolumn column 2 </div> </div> </div> <div class="threecol container3"> <div class="container2"> <div class="container1"> <div class="col1"> threecol column 1 </div> <div class="col2"> threecol column 2 </div> <div class="col3"> threecol column 3 </div> </div> </div> </div> </div> <div class="footer"> This is the common footer </div> </div> </body> </html>

However, if I put a login.html file in the same folder as the index.html, and then go http://localhost:8080/login, Lift does not serve the file. Where do I need to put the files to get them register? I am a little lost because the behaviour only seems to work for index.html and nothing else. This is what happens when I view source in Chrome: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html> <body>The Requested URL /login was not found on this server</body> </html>

  • How do you set up your web server & document's html to correctly serve HTML5 documents?

    - by joedevon
    Maybe I'm an idiot but I don't quite get what goes in the header of my HTML to use XHTML w/ HTML5. Is this still good and we just add the HTML5 tags?: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd"> <html dir="ltr" lang="eng" xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> Or is it <!DOCTYPE html> or what? Then at A List Apart they say: If you do go with XHTML 5, remember that your server must deliver the documents with a MIME type of application/xhtml+xml or text/xml. Please explain to me as if I was stupid :) what that means in a practical sense? "deliver the documents"? Meaning html? What happens to php? What are the steps required to set up your web server this way?

  • ASP.NET auto submits form with only one textbox

    - by MartinHN
    Hi, look at this code: <%@ Page Language="C#" AutoEventWireup="true" CodeFile="test.aspx.cs" Inherits="test" %> <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head runat="server"> <title>Untitled Page</title> </head> <body> <form id="form1" runat="server"> <input type="text" /> </form> </body> </html> When I hit the enter key, when the input box has focus - the form submits. If I add another input box it doesn't submit. How can I avoid the auto submit when there's only one input box?

  • Disable page redirects using Greasemonkey

    - by Tomer Cohen
    A website I wish to tweak is using window.location in order to redirect specific users to a blocking page. That website is doing it in plain <script> tag, so it is impossible to bypass it by overriding the onload event using document.body.setAttribute('onload','');. Is there another way to inject my code to the page without using Firefox extensions such as NoScript? <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head> <title></title> <script type="text/javascript"> if (1) window.location="http://example.net" </script> </head> <body></body> </html>

  • Joomla contact form doesn't pass W3C validation

    - by aramaz
    Hi, I get the following error when I try to validate a contact page on my site: document type does not allow element "script" here The element named above was found in a context where it is not allowed. This could mean that you have incorrectly nested elements -- such as a "style" element in the "body" section instead of inside "head" -- or two elements that overlap (which is not allowed). One common cause for this error is the use of XHTML syntax in HTML documents. Due to HTML's rules of implicitly closed elements, this error can create cascading effects. For instance, using XHTML's "self-closing" tags for "meta" and "link" in the "head" section of a HTML document may cause the parser to infer the end of the "head" section and the beginning of the "body" section (where "link" and "meta" are not allowed; hence the reported error). I am using Joomla 1.5.7, and the doctype is <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> Any idea how to fix this?
