  • Transparency issue with background image to GtkEventBox.

    I am setting GtkEventBox with an Transparent image from gtkrc file using pixmpa engine. but issue is that in transparent are of the png image gtk is filling default window back ground color. I wan to tell gtk to fill it's parents base/bg/fg color in transparent are of the background image other than default background color. how to do it using gtkrc file or coding? Thanks, PP.

    Dear Cocoa Developers, I'm creating a backgrounded cocoa application. The only thing that it's missing is the ability to take text inputs! I'm making the application backgrounded by setting "Application is background only" in the Info.plist But no matter what I do I can't make any window the keyWindow. makeKeyWindow makeKeyAndOrderFront Both don't work... I know apps can do this, anyone have any idea how you can get background application to have a key window? Thanks, JPoz

  • Best way to display a background with a pattern in an iPhone/iPad app

    Here's an example of the type of background image I'm talking about... Clearly, there's a pattern in it. My question is, if this were an iPad app and the background image was twice the size, would there be any significant benefits to taking advantage of this pattern by tiling the image? Or would it really make no difference in terms of performance and just be easier to load the entire image into a UIImageView? Thanks in advance for all your wisdom!

    Hi I am using itextsharp to generate a pdf file.I am placing a backgound image on it and want that image on all the pages .But when the first page is completed the text move to next page automatically so the image is not appearing on the new page. Is there a way to identify the end of page so that we can add a new page and then set the image first so will appear in background and then can add the remaining text. All is i want a image in background on all the pages of pdf file.

    In chrome, safari, and opera setting the background image to an absolute reference such as: "/images/image.png" changes it to "http://sitepath/images/image.png". It does not do this in firefox. Is there any way to avoid this behavior, or is it written into the browser's javascript engine? Using jquery to set the background-image also does this problem. The problem is that I am posting the HTML to a php script that needs the urls in this specific format. I know that setting the image path relative fixes this, but I can't do that. The only other alternative would be to use a regexp. to convert the urls. Thanks. The background should be the color of the top-left corner of the 200x200 pixel image.     Currently my tableview looks like this: as you can see, cell.textLabel and cell.detailTextLable both load this background, and i can't work out how to get them to stop loading the background, and for it only to be the backing on the cell.
