  • Access the camera with iPhone SDK

    It seems obvious that some people have been able to figure out how to access the iPhone camera through the SDK (Spore Origins, for example), but I haven't been able to find any helpful information. I don't want anyone to violate their NDA, but does anyone know of any existing (official) resources that show how this can be done? Thanks.

  • getting comments on facebook is limited to 50?

    Hi, strangely , lately when I'm trying to retrieve comments with the old facebook api I can get only the latest 50. And I didnt see any paging option there. And it doesnt matter if I use stream.getcomments or directly FQL . The weird thing is that using the same fql with the new api gives me all the comments. got a clue?

    Hi! Users authenticate normally on my iPhone app, and the permission for publish_stream is requested correctly. When the user want to post something on his wall, the text is transmitted to my backend and the backend posts it (with the transmitted session key) to the users facebook wall. The first post is always possible but at the second, the response is: "The user hasn't authorized the application to perform this action" But I was already able to post some seconds ago.   • Facebook Thumbnails Issue Traced to safe_image.php

    For some reason, facebook's safe_image.php script isn't generating thumbnails, properly. It's generating a 1x1 image... even though the correct image is linked in the script's parameters. Example: <img class="img" alt="" src="https://s-external.ak.fbcdn.net /safe_image.php?d=AQBtrCt_Es_KsED0&w=90&h=90&url=http%3A%2F %2Fwww.southlapatriots.info%2Fimages%2FScamra%2FJayCastilleCouncil2.jpg" The linked image is correct, but it is still only generating a 1x1 image.

  • facebook photo album grouping photos in news feed

    We have a social media "platform" - when we schedule photos to be published to Facebook, if a user schedules photos - they all go into the same album, as they schedule photos throughout the day - the photos become grouped and do not appear as a large photo - but rather a bunch of photos in a album. Is there any way to prevent photos from being grouped in the new feed and it just showing the newest uploaded photo in stream? I do not see an option.

    Hello all, I have a Facebook like button on my page using the XBFML tag. I think the code is working, because it works in Firefox without a problem. But in IE 8 (running in IE 7 compliant mode), the button does not show at all. If I switch it all to the iFrame version of the like button it all works. But when I go with the XBFML tag it does not work. Anyone run into anything like this?

  • How do i redirect to a GET request from a POST request on GAE

    Hello everyone, i am writing an FBML app on facebook hosted in GAE. Facebook will talk to your hosted app only vai POST (im sure this is the cause, but please do correct me if i'm wrong). So im faced with the issue that inside of my POST method, i need to redirect to facebook OAuth authroize URL. But i can only send a GET request. How can i do that? At the moment i'm doing class OauthHandler(webapp.RequestHandler): def post(self): # blablablab request.redirect(oauth_uri) Which is wrong since the oauth_uri is only responding to GET. Further more, OAuth will redirect back to my redirect handler through GET, but i cant! i can only do post. So i'm confused. ideas? Thanks in advance
