• Activiti Engine: Task Event - User is null

  I have a problem, which should be simple to solve, but i can't find the method to call to solve this problem: My problem is, that every Task Event (org.activiti.engine.task.Event) returnes null by calling Event.getUserId(); If I take a look into the database I see that the database table ACT_HI_COMMENT has null as value for the column USER_ID_ for every row. I generate these TaskEvents programmatically by calling (for example) processEngine.getTaskService().addComment(task.getId(), null, commentMessage); processEngine.getTaskService().addUserIdentityLink(task.getId(), user.getId(), IDENTITY_LINK_OBSERVER); I guess there is a simple method that I must call to solve this problem, something like processEngine.setCurrentUser(authenticatedUser.getId()); Any suggestions?

  I'm using spring4gwt in my project. I have the following login service implementation: @Service("loginService") public class LoginServiceImpl extends RemoteServiceServlet implements LoginService { @Override @Transactional(propagation = Propagation.REQUIRED, rollbackFor = Exception.class) public UserBean checkUser(String userName, String password) throws Exception { HttpSession httpSession = getThreadLocalRequest().getSession(); } } When i call the loginService.checkUser("test","test") (In hosted mode), I get a null pointer exception, as getThreadLocalRequest() returns NULL instead of the actual session. I didn't try in web mode yet. Why would I get a null session ? Does it have something to do with spring4gwt ? Thank you

However, if the folder does NOT exist, nothing is displayed on the screen, that is, the part identified by case NULL is not executed. How can I solve this problem? In other words, how can I get the code after the case NULL to run if the folder does not exist?

• AS3: Performance question calling an event function with null param

  Lately I needed to call a listener function without an actual listener like so: foo(null); private function foo(event:Event):void { //do something } So I was wondering if there is a significant difference regarding performance between this and using the following, in which I can prevent the null in calling the function without the listener, but am still able to call it with a listener as well: foo(); private function foo(event:Event = null):void { } I am not sure wether it is just a question of style, or actually bad practice and I should write two similar functions, one with and one without the event param (which seems cumbersome to me). Looking forward to your opinions, thx.

  Two ubuntu servers: 10.0.8.2 is the client, 192.168.20.58 is the server. Between the 2 machines, Ping works, ssh works (in both directions). What does it take to get some logging so I have some idea of WHY it won't mount?   So I upgraded on a fresh install to Ubuntu 12.10, not beta, and I've tried installing wine many many times now many different ways but the jist of it is this: This error could be caused by required additional software packages which are missing or not installable. Furthermore there could be a conflict between software packages which are not allowed to be installed at the same time. The following packages have unmet dependencies: wine: Any ideas? It won't let me install the dependencies either it says it needs another set of dependencies to install them -_- im on asus kj50 64bit os dual boot with windows 7 sudo apt-get install wine1.5 Reading package lists... • Testing Django Inline ModelForms: How to arrange POST data?

  Hi folks, I have a Django 'add business' view which adds a new business with an inline 'business_contact' form. The form works fine, but I'm wondering how to write up the unit test - specifically, the 'postdata' to send to self.client.post(settings.BUSINESS_ADD_URL, postdata) I've inspected the fields in my browser and tried adding post data with corresponding names, but I still get a 'ManagementForm data is missing or has been tampered with' error when run. Anyone know of any resources for figuring out how to post inline data? Relevant models, views & forms below if it helps. Lotsa thanks. • Problem with ColdFusion communicating with MySQL database

  Hi, I have been working to migrate a non-profit website from a local server (running Windows XP) to a GoDaddy hosting account (running Linux). Most of the pages are written in ColdFusion. Things have gone smoothly, up until this point. There is a flash form within the site (see this page: http://www.preservenet.cornell.edu/employ/submitjob.cfm) which, when completed, takes the visitor to this page: submitjobaction.cfm . I'm not quite sure what to make of this error, since I copied exactly what had been in the old MySQL database, and the .cfm files are exactly as they had been when they worked on the old server. Am I missing something? Below is the code from the database that the error seems to be referring to. When I change "Positionlat" to some default value in the database as it suggests in the error, it says that another field needs a default value, and it's a neverending chain of errors as I try to correct it. This is probably a stupid error that I'm missing, but I've been working at it for days and can't find what I'm missing. I would really appreciate any help. • BroadcastReciever doesn't show SMS not Send or Not delivered

  While using broadcastreciver for checking sms status, it shows the toast when sms is sent but shows nothing when sms is not sent or delivered (im testing it by putting an abrupt number). the code im using is the one ive seen the most on every site of checking sms delivery status. But my code is only showing the status when sms is sent successfully. Can any one get a hint of what am i doing wrong ? I hav this method in doInBackground() and so obviously im using AsyncTask. • Paperclip not running tasks but not showing errors

  This is strange. I just did a deploy to a cluster server, and since then, pictures have not been processing. Reading the logs, I usually do not get an error at all, but they never finish. However, on one particular image, I found this little bit at least, but this might not explain everything.. Any ideas? • Linux servers going into Halt when pressing Control-D in putty or exit in the shell

  Since today at noon, there's a number of Linux CentOS servers which are going to Halt whenever i type exit or use Control-D to close the putty window. Did anyone encounter this weird behavior before? I've checked the aliases list on the servers and there is no alias regarding halt command. After the server came online i've checked the history and saw a "logout" command there but nothing which is related to Halt. At first, i thought it happens only from my computer but later i realized that it happens to everyone which types exit, logout or control+d. 2 of these server are our main iptables firewalls and so it's super critical, your assistance is much appreciated.   I have an int dependency property on my custom Textbox, which holds a backing value. It is bound to an int? property on the DataContext. If I raise the PropertyChanged event in my DataContext, and the source property's value is not changed (stays null), then the dependency property's setter is not fired. This is a problem, because I want to update the custom Textbox (clear the text) on PropertyChanged, even if the source property stays the same. However, I didn't find any binding option that does what I want (there is an UpdateSourceTrigger property, but I want to update the target here, not the source). Maybe there is a better way to inform the Textbox that it needs to clear its text, I'm open to any suggestions.

However when I remove the properties file from the classpath, I would have expected that the default values would have been used, for example poolSize would be set to 10 or algorithm to PBEWithMD5AndTripleDES however this is not the case. Running the code through a debugger (which would only work after changing @Value("${encryptor.poolSize:10}") Integer poolSize to @Value("${encryptor.poolSize:10}") String poolSize as it was causing NumberFormatExceptions) I find that the defaults are not being set and the parameters are in the form of: poolSize = ${encryptor.poolSize:10} or algorithm = ${encryptor.algorithm:"PBEWithMD5AndTripleDES"} rather than the expected poolSize = 10 or algorithm = "PBEWithMD5AndTripleDES" Based on SPR-4785 the notation such as ${my.property:myDefaultValue} should work.   I was testing my app that I've been working on for past 2 months. Basically it requests for JSON, that contains info about items. One field of JSON file is image_url. When I want to display this image, I need to download it from another server, that needs additional credentials.   I've downloaded the employees database and executed some queries for benchmarking purposes. Then I noticed that one query didn't use a covering index, although there was a corresponding index that I created earlier. Only when I added a FORCE INDEX clause to the query, it used a covering index. I've uploaded two files, one is the executed SQL queries and the other is the results. Can you tell why the query uses a covering-index only when a FORCE INDEX clause is added? The EXPLAIN shows that in both cases, the index dept_no_from_date_idx is being used anyway.
