  how to manage the use of both $_SERVER['PHP_SELF'] in action of form and htaccess for url-rewriting? If I submit a form and in the action attribute of it i pass "$_SERVER['PHP_SELF']" and at the same time i am using url rewriting for the same page.. then these two things will contradict each other resulting in the display of action value of form in address bar.. so how can i manage this to get the url rewrited form of $_SERVER['PHP_SELF']? here the rewrite rule is to change the name of url file likewise as if form is submitted to any file say direction.php then rewrite will change it to something 30/redirect.html

• Rails ActiveRecord- has_many through and belongs_to a related model

  I have 3 models sites, user_favorites and users. Relevant relationships: class Site < ActiveRecord::Base has_many :users, :through => :user_favorites class UserFavorite < ActiveRecord::Base belongs_to :user, :counter_cache => true belongs_to :site end class User < ActiveRecord:Base has_many :user_favorites has_many :sites, :through => :user_favorites All of that works just fine. I'd like to add a new attribute to the Site model to indicate which user created it. I don't believe this constitutes a has_and_belongs_to_many scenario. A site has many users through user_favorites but I want it to belong to a single user reflecting the owner/creator. I'm wondering what the ORM best practice is for this. SQL wise I'd just use different joins depending on what I was trying to query with a created_by FK in Site. Sorry if I'm missing something basic here. Thanks

  I know how to recursively list directory contents. I will be using Snow Leopard's enumeratorAtURL:includingPropertiesForKeys:options:errorHandler: method to do this. However I want to store my findings into a object hierarchy (of, say, objects of a custom FileOrDirectory class that has isLeaf, children, and count attributes). I need to pre-load the directory and file structure into such a object hierarchy, in order to do whatever I want with NSTreeController and whatnot. I guess the trickiest thing here is to get the children attribute correct in the object hierarchy. Any ideas?

• Oracle/c#: How do i use bind variables with select statements to return multiple records?

  I have a question regarding Oracle bind variables and select statements. What I would like to achieve is do a select on a number different values for the primary key. I would like to pass these values via an array using bind values. select * from tb_customers where cust_id = :1 int[] cust_id = { 11, 23, 31, 44 , 51 }; I then bind a DataReader to get the values into a table. The problem is that the resulting table only contains a single record (for cust_id=51). Thus it seems that each statement is executed independently (as it should), but I would like the results to be available as a collective (single table). A workaround is to create a temporary table, insert all the values of cust_id and then do a join against tb_customers. The problem with this approach is that I would require temporary tables for every different type of primary key, as I would like to use this against a number of tables (some even have combined primary keys). Is there anything I am missing?

  I have the following command button set up in a facelet: <h:commandButton action="#{addressAction.deletePreviousAddress}" value="#{bundle['button.deleteAddress']}" styleClass="deg-form-button" immediate="true"> <f:setPropertyActionListener target="#{addressAction.addressActionForm.previousAddress}" value="#{address}"> </f:setPropertyActionListener> </h:commandButton> In AddressAction, the following code gets run to delete a previous address on the form: public Enum<NavigationConstants> deletePreviousAddress() { addressActionForm.getPreviousAddresses().remove(addressActionForm.getPreviousAddress()); return NavigationConstants.addresses; } Before I made the address input components "required=true", this code worked fine and removed the previous address from the jsf form successfully. Right now, I can't successfully delete a previous address because validation is occurring and stating that the input components need to be filled in on the previous address record on the form. How can I bypass this validation? I thought the "immediate=true" attribute on the command button would have accomplished it but that's not cutting it in my case...

  I have 2 tables, Stores - storeId (int) and year (int(4)) both Primary Keys. fruit - fruitId - Primary Key and storeId. I need to create 1 to many relationship between the Store and Fruit (Foreign Key held within Fruit) how ever I always get shown the error - The Columns in table <table> do not match an existing primary key or unique constraint. The type's are both int and named the same. Any help would be appreciate in advance, many thanks.

  In my most recent question: Unit Testing Best Practice? / C# InternalsVisibleTo() attribute for VBNET 2.0 while testing?, I was asking about InternalsVisibleToAttribute. I have read the documentation on how to use it, and everything is fine and understood. However, I can't instantiate my class Groupe from my Testing project. I want to be able to instantiate my internal class in my wrapper assembly, from my testing assembly. Any help is appreciated!   I'm setting up a HTML5 webpage and want to include RDFa. I try checking the syntax with the w3 validator, and check the extracted RDF using the w3 RDFa distiller. When I declare namespaces using xmlns:<ns>="<uri>" the validator complains that the attribute is not allowed there, and the specs say that xmlns is deprecated, but if I try the other suggested prefix="<ns> <uri>" the distiller doesn't discover the RDFa embedded on my page. Which way should I stick to?

  In my application I have keys that bound to commands using the KeyBinding class. The command is executed when the key is pressed and released. I have a special case where I want to bind separate commands to the pressed action and to the released action. For example when the space key is pressed I want my app to run a command to enter a special mode. Then when the space key is released I want to run another command to exit that special mode. Currently I do this by manually handling the KeyUp and KeyDown events. Is there anyway to execute commands for pressed and released purely in XAML?

  Once the singleton pattern is understood, writing subsequent singleton classes in C# is a brainless exercise. I would hope that the framework would help you by providing an interface or a base class to do that. Here is how I envision it: public sealed class Schablone : ISingleton<Schablone> { // Stuff forced by the interface goes here // Extra logic goes here } Does what I am looking for exist? Is there some syntactic sugar for constructing a singleton class - whether with an interface, a class attribute, etc.? Can one write a useful and bullet-proof ISingleton themselves? Care to try? This works great for a single scenario, but what happens when I need multiple "include strategies"? For instance, one situation might call for including the Fees collection and NOT the LineItems collection. Is there any way with RIA Services to control what's included at runtime without redefining your model and/or creating dtos with the attributes statically placed for each use-case?

  Hi, im using symfony with doctrine, and Im trying to generate the schema yml file from a db. I get an this error SQLSTATE[42000]: Syntax error or access violation: 1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'group' at line 1. Failing Query: "DESCRIBE group"I have a table named group in my database, and I suspect that this is screwing it up. Its not access problems as ive checked my db previleges. Any suggestions on what I can do? I have tried the quote-identifier attribute but with no luck : ( Im also struggling to find some good doctrine documentation. i cant seem to find where a list of attributes are, say for a creating a column in the schema.yml file. I tried reaching out to symfony forums but they are not responsive! Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks..

• Shadowbox not working in IE

  Hi guys, I have a bit of a problem with my shadowbox, it works fine in FF, but it refuses to work in IE 7 or 8. I really am at the end of my rope here, any help would be appreciated, thanx!

• Capture KeyUp event on form when child control has focus

  I need to capture the KeyUp event in my form (to toggle a "full screen mode"). Here's what I'm doing: protected override void OnKeyUp(KeyEventArgs e) { base.OnKeyUp(e); if (e.KeyCode == Keys.F12) this.ToggleFullScreen(); } private void ToggleFullScreen() { // Snazzy code goes here } This works fine, unless a control on the form has focus. In that case, I don't get the event at all (also tried OnKeyDown - no luck there either). I could handle the KeyUp event from the child control, but the controls on the form are generated dynamically, and there may be many of them - each having many children of their own. Is there any way to do this without generating event handlers for every control on the screen (which I certainly could do with a recursive function)?

  How could I implement a sub item where the item would have a parent to that of the same item. For example, I have a database that holds tasks/todos. Each todo has a title(TEXT), completed(INTEGER [1 if true, 0 if false]), and due date(TEXT) column. I would like to add functionality to have subtasks, where a task could possibly have a parent task. How would I implement this in SQLite for Android? NOT IN SQL! So no foreign keys (triggers are allow, though)! Could I just have a separate table (subtask) and have a foreign key trigger to link subtask(INTEGER parent) to task(INTEGER PRIMARY KEY AUTOINCREMENT _id)? Or should I add a column to my original task table(INTEGER parent)? How could I implement this?

  I was reading the static maps API, and it says you can include a custom marker in the GET params. You simply link to an image file. I now have a second Google Map within an iframe, and was wondering if you can attach custom markers via the GET params to it? • resizing arrays when close to memory capacity

  So I am implementing my own hashtable in java, since the built in hashtable has ridiculous memory overhead per entry. I'm making an open-addressed table with a variant of quadratic hashing, which is backed internally by two arrays, one for keys and one for values. I don't have the ability to resize though. The obvious way to do it is to create larger arrays and then hash all of the (key, value) pairs into the new arrays from the old ones. This falls apart though when my old arrays take up over 50% of my current memory, since I can't fit both the old and new arrays in memory at the same time. Is there any way to resize my hashtable in this situation Edit: the info I got for current hashtable memory overheads is from here How much memory does a Hashtable use? Also, for my current application, my values are ints, so rather than store references to Integers, I have an array of ints as my values.

On the other hand I use pictures instead of texts for password and each picture has a code (4 digit) and a password include 4 picture that produce 16 digit.   The original list project_keys = sorted(projects.keys()) is [101, 102, 103, 104, 105, 106, 107, 108, 109, 110] where the following projects were deemed invalid this year: 108, 109, 110. Thus: for project in projects.itervalues(): # The projects dictionary is mapped to the Project class if project.invalid: # Where invalid is a Bool parameter in the Project class project_keys.remove(project.proj_id) print project_keys This will return a list of integers (which are project id's) as such: [101, 102, 103, 104, 105, 106, 107] Sweet. Now, I wanted it try the same thing using a list comprehension. project_keys = [project_keys.remove(project.proj_id) for project in projects.itervalues() if project.invalid print project_keys This returns: [None, None, None] So I'm populating a list with the same number as the removed elements but they're Nones? Can someone point out what I'm doing wrong? Additionally, why would I use a list comprehension over the for-if block at the top? Conciseness? Looks nicer?

  In Oracle there is a mechanism to generate sequence numbers e.g.; CREATE SEQUENCE supplier_seq MINVALUE 1 MAXVALUE 999999999999999999999999999 START WITH 1 INCREMENT BY 1 CACHE 20; And then execute the statement supplier_seq.nextval to retrieve the next sequence number. How would you create the same functionality in MS SQL Server ? Edit: I'm not looking for ways to automaticly generate keys for table records. I need to generate a unique value that I can use as an (logical) ID for a process. So I need the exact functionality that Oracle provides.
