  I'm trying to implement the A* algorithm in Java. I followed this tutorial,in particular, this pseudocode: http://theory.stanford.edu/~amitp/GameProgramming/ImplementationNotes.html The problem is my code doesn't work. It goes into an infinite loop. I really don't know why this happens... I suspect that the problem are in F = G + H function implemented in Graph constructors. I suspect I am not calculate the neighbor F correclty.   I'm implementing an FTP-like protocol in Linux kernel 2.4 (homework), and I was under the impression that if a file is open for writing any subsequent attempt to open it by another thread should fail, until I actually tried it and discovered it goes through. How do I prevent this from happening? PS: I'm using open() to open the file.

For example: Eclipse: Cmd|Ctrl+Shift+R - Open Resource IntellIJ: Cmd|Ctrl+Shift+N - Open File TextMate: Cmd+T - Go to File In Xcode, I have found no such options. Please, please tell me I just overlooked it in my growing frustration. Is there a "Go to file" or "Open File" shortcut in Xcode?

• "System call failed" error when trying to open "My Computer" etc. under the Start menu! What is happening?

  When I go to the start menu I can load program icons but if I click on Documents, My Pictures, My Computer, Default Programs...all the options on the right part--I get "System call failed". How do I solve ths? Is my HD failing? Also, I don't know if it's connected but yesterday my uTorrent stopped working in a way it has never done before. I'm not able to download torrent files. In the program I get "socket unreacheable..." Also, for the last 2 days my internet has been super-slow. I checked Kaspersky for viruses. It says: "No active threats". Windows 7 64-bit.

• Why are cookies unrecognized when a link is clicked from an external source (i.e. Excel, Word, etc..

  I noticed that when a link is clicked externally from the web browser, such as from Excel or Word, that my session cookie is initially unrecognized, even if the link opens up in a new tab of the same browser window. The browser ends up recognizing its cookie eventually, but I am puzzled as to why that initial link from Excel or Word doesn't work. To make it even more challenging, clicking a link works fine from Outlook. Does anybody know why this might be happening? I'm using the Zend Framework with PHP 5.3.

  What should happen is that [email protected] should be delivered to that users inbox on localhost, user@localhost. Thunderbird works fine at reading user@localhost. I'm just using a small portion of postfix-dovecot with Ubuntu mailman.   I have a TS-7800, and it typically boots from the SD card inserted in it. When I tried to boot it up today, it hung on the syslog line. I am now having "Read only file system" problems. • Can't send commands via SSH to Juniper firewalls

  I have some Juniper SSG firewalls which I need to manage, and I'd like to be able to send commands to them from some monitoring scripts. I configured SSH access using public keys, and I'm able to automatically login to the firewalls. When I run SSH interactively, everything works fine: $ssh <firewall IP> FIREWALL-> <command> <command output> FIREWALL-> exit Connection to <firewall IP> closed. $ But when I try to run the command from the command line, it doesn't work: $ssh <firewall IP> <command> $ This, of course, works fine when sending a command to a remote Linux box: $ssh <linux box IP> <command> <command output> $ Why is this happening? What is the difference between running SSH interactively and specifying the command to run on the SSH command line? Update: It also works fine with a Cisco router. Only these Juniper firewalls seem to behave this way. DBAs make a vital contribution to the running of the companies they work for, and the Exceptional DBA Awards aim to acknowledge this and make this contribution more widely known. It means that you make an effort to make your servers secure and reliable, and to make your users’ lives easier. Maybe you’ve helped a junior colleague learn something new about server backups? Or cancelled your coffee break to get a database back online? Or contributed to a forum post on performance monitoring? All of these actions show that you might be an exceptional DBA. So have a think about the tasks you do every day that already make you exceptional – and then get started on your entry!
