    I am trying to use Twitter OAuth and my POST requests are failing with a 401 (Invalid OAuth Request) error. For example, if I want to post a new status update, I am sending a HTTP POST request to https://twitter.com/statuses/update.json with the following parameters - status=Testing&oauth_version=1.0&oauth_token=xxx& oauth_nonce=xxx&oauth_timestamp=xxx&oauth_signature=xxx& oauth_consumer_key=xxx&in_reply_to=xxx&oauth_signature_method=HMAC-SHA1` My GET requests are all working fine. I can see on the mailing lists that a lot of people have had identical problems but I could not find a solution anywhere. I am using the oauth.py Python library.

  • Matplotlib and WSGI/mod_python not working on Apache.

    Everything works as supposed to on the Django development server. In Apache, the django app also works except when matplotlib is used. Here's the error I get: No module named multiarray. Exception Type: ImportError Exception Value: No module named multiarray Exception Location: /usr/share/pyshared/numpy/core/numerictypes.py in <module>, line 81 Python Executable: /usr/bin/python Python Version: 2.6.4 From the python shell, both statements work: import numpy.core.multiarray and import multiarray. Any ideas? Thanks As I'm looking over the numpy files, I found the multiarray module, which has an extension of 'so'. My guess, is that mod_python is not reading these files.

  • Using Django Admin for a custom database solution

    A client wants to have a simple intranet application to manage his process. He runs a Quarry and wishes to track number of loads delivered per day and associated activities. Since I knew about Django's excellent Admin interface, I figured I could define the "Schema" in models.py and have Django Admin generate the forms. I did exactly that and the result is not bad at all. I've been able to customize the look and feel to suit the client's taste. Some questions: Is Django Admin the right choice for such a use-case? Will I run to problems in the future due to flexibility of the framework? Is there a better framework out there specifically designed for this use-case (general Database management for small businesses)? I prefer ones written in Python since I can hack it up to customize.     I want to write a script that counts the types of objects there are in the ZODB, when they were created, how many users have joined since a given point in time,etc. I am wondering how to accomplish this. So, was wondering if there is a way to pass a script to bin/instance to be executed. And now I get a warning for "VS Just-In-Time Debugger: Unhandled exception" instead How can I disable all the script error warnings (including JIT debugger) from my code (i mean without modifying the real IE settings)?

  • UAC being turned off once a day on Windows 7

    I have strange problem on my HP laptop. This began to happen recently. Whenever I start my machine, Windows 7 Action Center displays the following warning: You need to restart your computer for UAC to be turned off. Actually, this does not happen if it happened once on a specific day. For example, when I start the machine in the morning, it shows up; but it never shows up in the subsequent restarts within that day. On the next day, the same thing happens again. I never disable UAC, but obviously some rootkit or virus causes this. As soon as I get this warning, I head for the UAC settings, and re-enable UAC to dismiss this warning. This is a bothersome situation as I can't fix it. First, I have run a full scan on the computer for any probable virus and malware/rootkit activity, but TrendMicro OfficeScan said that no viruses have been found. I went to an old Restore Point using Windows System Restore, but the problem was not solved. 8204 bytes As suggested in this very similar question, I have run full scans (+boot time scans) with RegRun and UnHackMe, but they also did not find anything. I have carefully examined all entries in the Event Viewer, but there's nothing wrong. Now I know that there is a hidden trojan (rootkit) on my machine which seems to disguise itself quite successfully. Note that I don't have the chance to remove the HDD, or reinstall the OS as this is a work machine subjected to certain IT policies on a company domain. Despite all my attempts, the problem still remains. I strictly need a to-the-point method or a pukka rootkit remover to remove whatever it is. I don't want to monkey with the system settings, i.e. disabling auto runs one by one, messing the registry, etc. EDIT 2: I have found an article which is closely related to my trouble: Malware can turn off UAC in Windows 7; “By design” says Microsoft.   • UISwitch not tapped on right area

    I placed UISwitch on main view. Now I try change state. But the state changed only when I touch on the left side of the UISwitch. and never on the right. For example in Settings App the airplane mode chanhed any of those ways. Can anybody help me?
