• clickable div with img in it?

  I have a div i would like to make clickable. I know i need to make the div (and?) the link have a fixed width and height + display: block. I have an imagine inside of the div. It seems like the 'clickable' div is actually a large transparent link and this click does not play well with images as it doesnt share space. I need to right click the image and hit save as. So how do i make the div clickable. I tried setting the img width and height but it made the img stretch.

If i click on "tab "1 the selected index returned is correct. But when click on tabs in the second level ("tab 1-xx") the event is fired too. I want to resctriced the bind('tabsselect', function(event, ui) on the first level of tab (tab x). How can i do that ? Thanks

  For a Google Chrome extension, none of the Javascript I write to manipulate the DOM of the extension popup.html seems to have any effect on the popup's DOM. • Adding a row to an existing datatable in JSF

  Hi, I have a requirement of changing an existing JSF 1.1 project where I need to add an additional row to a datatable on click of a button. Currently the datatable loads 3 rows from the backing bean and this new button should add additional rows to the datatable on each click. Using the suggestion provided by http://balusc.blogspot.com/2006/06/using-datatables.html I was able to display the additional row on the UI but I could not save the new data back to the database because the backing bean is in request scope and I cannot change the scope of this bean as it would create other issues. Can somebody provide me a solution to display the new row and also to save the data back to the database when the backing bean is in request scope. Thanks Shyam

• Blackberry: Simulator stuck up launching through JDE 5.x

  Hi, When i try to build my project in Blackberry JDE 5.0.0.25. It built successfully. And then when i click on Debug menu "Go" button, simulator is launching and stuck up lanching itself forever, does't come up the simulator screen normally and visible with apps showing. When i built the same project in Blackberry JDE 4.7, it built successfully and then click on "Go", launched the simulator normally and showed the app to play with it. Could someone guide me what should be problem? Do i need to set any settings specific to BB JDE 5.x? I have just the basic hello world empty screen in my project, so don't provide any code here.   There are two Ubuntu PCs called A and B. A and B are connected to the Internet using two separated Internet connections. (In my case, two mobile broadband connections ppp0 x2 ) Each connection has a unique & static public IP address. What I need is to control A computer's cursor, using B computer's mouse, over the Internet. In both computers, I have allowed other users to control my computer in Desktop Sharing preferences, as below: When I try to connect to A from the B using Remmina Remote Desktop Client, it refuses to connect after trying for a while. These are my settings: I expect this to be done from an available open source software, not from TeamViewer. I found this guide harder to understand. Please provide me clear instructions... • DropdownList autoposback after client confirmation

  I have a dropdownlist with the autopostback set to true. I want the user to confirm if they really want to change the value, which on post back fires a server side event (selectedindexchanged). I have tried adding an onchange attribute "return confirm('Please click OK to change. Otherwise click CANCEL?';") but it will not postback regardless of the confirm result and the value in the list does not revert back if cancel selected. When I remove the onchange attribute from the DropdownList tag, the page does postback. It does not when the onchange attribute is added. Do I still need to wire the event handler (I'm on C# .Net 2.0 ). Any leads will be helpful. Thanks!

• CALayer rotation on Y axis ignores z position

  Hi, i have some CALayers one on top of the other with different z-values. the z-values are sequential (1,2,3 ...). i wrote some code that changes the y-rotation of a CALayer when i click on it. the y-rotations changes to -30.f the problem is that when i click on a CALayer it rotates and goes behind the CALayers that are actually beneath it (by z-value ordering). i understand that changing the y-rotation by -30.f actually takes the CALayer back in a sense. but shouldn't it consider the z-value as the index of the CALayer in the container and make sure it stays on top of lower z-values ?

• Samsung 305u notebook touchpad not working in Ubuntu 13.10

  I just installed Ubuntu 13.10 on my Samsung 305u notebook. The problem is that the touchpad (cursor and clicking) doesn't work, it does nothing. The only way to fix it is to plug an external mouse, which isn't the optimal. I already checked the system preferences and the touchpad is enabled. I used Ubuntu 13.04 before, and it worked. Then I installed Linux Mint and the touchpad stopped working, that's way I installed 13.10, but now it doesn't work here either. I hope someone can help me.

  Him I'm trying to add a jQuery tooltip to a dynamically generated list, the text I want to display the tooltip on is in a table, so my CSS tooltip doesn't work: CSS tooltip. I tried to add this jQuery tooltip to the page, it works on my local test page, but I think the problem has something to do with uniqur ids, and I'm not sure how to implement the bind all function explained there: "To bind all of the targets to their corresponding content, it takes only one line: $(".tooltip-target").ezpz_tooltip(); Calling ezpz_tooltip() on a class will bind the hover event to each element, and because of the naming convention it will know which content to display." Can someone help me to understand what exactly I have to do to make this work on a dynamic page? The page is Euroworker's checkout product page. (You'll have to add some items to the basket, click the home button on the left of the bnav bar and click the little white button "kjøp" then the orange button "handlevogn".) Thanks.

  I have a <div id="comment_posting_holder"> tag that holds a form with two elements: a textarea box and a submit button. I want to have the div tag (containing the textarea and submit button) disappear if I click somewhere "OTHER" than the submit button. I have a start for the code below. So upon leaving focus from the textarea, I can make the div tag disappear. I tried placing in a mouseclick event inside the blur function for the submit button but that did not work. Any suggestions? How can i do that?How can i identify the selected item is parent.

  I am a huge fan of emacs.. But even after 1 year of practising on emacs I am unable to solve these three annoying issues about emacs please help me! 1.Whenever I want to copy the content from emacs into other things such as a website textarea I have to use GUI copy button because ctrl+w doesn't work. Is there any way to do this from emacs-command line. 2.Whenever I delete something using ctrl+shft+SPC or ctrl+k etc I don't want it to be stored in kill ring how do I do it(I know ctrl+D does this but it deletes only one char at a time)? 3.Whenever I select text by mouse and press backspace then text goes into kill ring(Which I want to change as mentioned) but same doesn't happen when I select text with ctrl+SPC(set mark) and then ctrl+f/ctrl+b etc. Please help me! • Detecting extremely fast joystick button presses?

  Is it usually possible for the player to press and release a button within a single frame, so that the game engine doesn't have time to detect it? How do programmers usually handle this situation? Is it even necessary to handle it? Specifically, I am asking about GLFW's joystick input capabilities. I am currently using GLFW to make a game, and I've noticed that keyboard and mouse have callback functions, while joysticks do not. Also, it does not appear to be possible to enable "sticky keys" for a joystick. (I have only recently started using GLFW, so please correct me if I am wrong, as having either of those would solve the problem.)

• OpenGL programming vs Blender Software, which is better for custom video creation?

  I am learning OpenGL API bit by bit and also develop my own C++ framework library for effectively using them. Recently came across Blender software which is used for graphics creation and is in turn written in OpenGL itself. For my part time hobby of graphics learning, I want to just create small-small movie or video segments; e.g. related to construction engineering, epic stories and so on. There may be very minimal to nil mouse-keyboard interaction for those videos, unlike video games which are highly interactive. I was wondering if learning OpenGL from scratch is worth for it or should I invest my time in learning Blender software? There are quite a few good movie examples are created using Blender and are shown in its website. Other such opensource cross platform alternatives are also welcome, which can serve my aforementioned purpose.

  I have an ASP.Net Page, aspx with its default form. I have a Submit Button for it. Upon clicking, it will post the data to itself. In other words, Button Click Event() from code behind will execute the necessary. After that, I would like to post the same data to another ASp.Net Page, aspx from another domain. So, how can I do it? I tried creating a Form in Button Click Event and a javascript to Submit the Form so that it will post. But the Form is not appearing hence there is already aForm` on the page. Is there anyway to do it?

I removed my javascript that automatically refreshes the page to make sure that wasn't refreshing before anything was submitted somehow. Could the difference in IE7 have to do with the fact that the domain of the form (forms.netsuite.com) is different than the domain of the parent page(checkout.netsuite.com) and it's being submitted over HTTPS?

  The next, prev, nextAll and prevAll methods are very useful, but not if the elements you are trying to find are not in the same parent element. What I want to do is something like this: <div><span id="click">hello</span></div> <div><p class="find">world></p></div> When the span with the id "click" is pressed, I want to match the next element with the class "find", which in this case is not a sibling of the clicked element so next or nextAll won't work.
