• Java ME bundle Microlog jars with my midlet jar.

  Hello, I'm pretty new to Java ME and i'm trying to use Microlog to handle logging in my midlet. In eclipse i can reference Microlog jars and it's all good in dev time, but when i try to launch the application the jars aren't found on the device. How can i bundle those referenced libs into my midlet? Thanks.

  When im inserting to the database on my dev server the text goes in fine, for example "that's" is "that's" in the db. when uploading the exact same code to production server (hosted on a reseller account at bluehost) "that's" becomes "that\'s", im not double escaping, its exactly the same code, what could be the issue here?

  Hi, I'm running through the Ruby on Rails tutorial at http://guides.rubyonrails.org/getting_started.html (adjusting where appropriate for Google's App Engine). All is well up till section 6.3: when I try to click "New Post", I get the following error: Internal Server Error (500) Request Method: GET Request URL: http://localhost:8080/500.html access denied (java.io.FilePermission /dev/urandom read) It works fine when I upload the application to Google's App Engine; it's just on my development machine (OS X 10.6) that it doesn't work.   I see the savepath has no value but does it default to something? Are the other values OK? I have access to the server and PHP files but how and what do I change? The specific issue - On page 1: session_start(); $_SESSION['uType']=$row['usertype']; //save user type to session print_r($_SESSION); //Prints the user type successfully On page 2: session_start(); print_r($_SESSION); //BLANK?? Observed: Page 1 displays the session data. However, there are NO cookies created anywhere on the browser? Page 1 does a require to display page 2. Page 2 does not contain the session data. Using FireFox as the target browser (looking at cookies with web developer add-in) How do I get the session to work across all pages? Thank You and yes I am a newbie at this.

• Why do I get access denied to data folder when using adb?

How come I can't browse around the directories using the commandline like this? How do I get root access on my phone?

  Supose we have a very simple model: Station has at least one Train Train has at least two Stations The model has to allow to check what stations any given train visits and to check what trains visit a particular station. How to model it in Haskell? I am a Haskell newbie, so please correct me: once an object is created, you cannot modify it - you can only make a new object based on that one (~immutability). Am I right? If so, I'll have to create a lot of temporary variables with semi-initialized objects (during deserialization or even in unit tests). Basically what I need is an example of modeling domain classes in Haskell - after reading "Learn you a haskell.." I still have no idea how to use this language.

• How do I make PyScripter work? Says it cant find python26.dll

  I installed PyScript to try it out but it just wont start. It only gives me the error: "Error126: Could not open Dll "python26.dll" followed by: "Python could not be properly initialized. We must quit." I think this may have something to do with the PYTHONPATH but since I'm a newbie and dont know what it is or exactly what to put in the PYTHONPATH, after some googling, I ask here. Also, when I tried to install wxPython it was impossible becouse the PYTHONPATH could not be found.(Just a side note) I have installed ActivePython 2.6 and the PATH is set so I can access python in cmd.

• Which rdfa parser for java that supports currently used rdfa attributes?

  I am building an app in Java using Jena for semantic information scraping. I am looking for a RDFa parser that would allow me to correctly extract all the rdfa statements. Specifically, one that extracts info about namespaces used and presuming that rdfa tags are correct in the page produces correct triples, ones that distinguish between object and data properties. I went through all rdfa parsers from the site http://rdfa.info/wiki/Consume for Java. They all struggle to extract any rdfa statements and if they do not crash, Jena RDFa parser shows plenty of errors and then dies a terrible death, the data is of little use as it is incorrectly processed and generally mixed up. I am newbie in this area so please be gentle:) I was also thinking of using a library written in different language but then again I don't really know how to plug it into Java code. Any suggestions?

Please help if you can. Given 2 tuples with values [2,4,1] and [2,2,5] and fields 'a','b' and 'c' and doing an average on field 'b' should return '3'. • Calculating terrain height in 3d-space

  Hi I'm diving into 3d programming a bit and am currently learning by writing a procedural terrain generator that generates terrain based on a heightmap. I would also want to implement some physics and my first attempt at terrain collision was by simply checking the current position vs the heightmap. This however wont work well against small objects as you'd have to calculate the height by taking the heightdifference of the nearest vertices of the object and doing this every colision check is pretty slow. Beleive me I tried googling for it but there's simply so much crap and millions of blogs posting ripped-of newbie tutorials everywhere with basically no real information on the subject, I can't find anything that explains it or even names any generally used techniques. I'm not asking for code or a complete solution, but if anyone knows a particular technique good for calculating a high-res heightmap out of the already generated and smoothed terrain I would be very happy as I could look into it further when I know what I'm looking for. • Ruby 1.9 Ramaze App Failing with "Illegal instruction"

  I've got an app that I'm trying to get working again after wiping my system and installing Snow Leopard. I installed Ruby 1.9 from Macports (now a later version) and the dev server starts up just fine, but then dies on the first request, only telling me "Illegal instruction". I have no idea what's causing this or even how to go about debugging it. Does anyone have any ideas?

  Hi, I'm trying to build a Spring server for GWT (you can think of it as of Javascript AJAX client). But I can't decide on one point of architecture. How should session be created and used? The obvious easiest way - is to use HTTP sessions (cookies and stuff). Looks fine, but I think that sending session ID separate from the headers would be better (SOAP style). So, what is better: getMyPetsName(String sessionID, int petID) or getMyPetsName(int petID) + session ID through HTTP header (cookies or something). Another question is, if I use the first way (which I like more) - how do I handle session in Spring? I'm really newbie in Spring, and googling did not help.
