  • Table filtering in jquery - a more elegant solution please

    - by Neil Burton
    I want to filter certain rows out of a table and am using classes to categorise the rows. The below code enables me to show and hide row data categorised as "QUO" and "CAL" (eventually there will be other categories. Can someone point me towards a more elegant solution, so I don't have to duplicate code for each category as I have below? Thanks! <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <html> <head> <title>Untitled</title> <style> </style> <script src="Javascript/jquery-1.4.2.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function () { $("#toggle_ac_cal").click(function() { var checked_status = this.checked; if (checked_status==true) { $(".ac_cal").show() } else { $(".ac_cal").hide() } }); $("#toggle_ac_quo").click(function() { var checked_status = this.checked; if (checked_status==true) { $(".ac_quo").show() } else { $(".ac_quo").hide() } }); }); </script> </head> <body> <input type="checkbox" id="toggle_ac_cal" checked="checked" />CAL<br/> <input type="checkbox" id="toggle_ac_quo" checked="checked" />QUO<br/> <table> <tbody> <tr class="ac_cal"> <td>CAL</td> <td>10 Oct</td> <td>John Barnes</td> </tr> <tr class="ac_cal"> <td>CAL</td> <td>10 Oct</td> <td>Neil Burton</td> </tr> <tr class="ac_quo"> <td>QUO</td> <td>11 Oct</td> <td>Neil Armstrong</td> </tr> </tbody> </table> </body> </html>

Hello, I have several devices on a network. I am trying to use a library to discover the presence and itentity of these devices using Python script, the devices all have a web service. My question is, are there any modules that would help me with this problem as the only module I have found is ws-discovery for Python? And if this is the only module does anyone have any example Python script using ws-discovery? Thanks for any help.

  • Strange behavior with Powershell scriptblock variable scope and modules, any suggestions?

    - by DanMan
NOTE: I'm using PowerShell 2.0 on Windows Vista. I'm trying to add support for specifying build arguments to psake, but I've run into some strange PowerShell variable scoping behavior dealing specifically with calling functions that have been exported using Export-ModuleMember (which is how psake exposes it's main method). Following is a simple PowerShell module to illustrate (named repoCase.psm1): function Test { param( [Parameter(Position=0,Mandatory=0)] [scriptblock]$properties = {} ) $defaults = {$message = "Hello, world!"} Write-Host "Before running defaults, message is: $message" . $defaults #At this point, $message is correctly set to "Hellow, world!" Write-Host "Aftering running defaults, message is: $message" . $properties #At this point, I would expect $message to be set to whatever is passed in, #which in this case is "Hello from poperties!", but it isn't. Write-Host "Aftering running properties, message is: $message" } Export-ModuleMember -Function "Test" To test the module, run the following sequence of commands (be sure you're in the same directory as the repoCase.psm1): Import-Module .\repoCase.psm1 #Note that $message should be null Write-Host "Before execution - In global scope, message is: $message" Test -properties { "Executing properties, message is $message"; $message = "Hello from properties!"; } #Now $message is set to the value from the script block. The script block affected only the global scope. Write-Host "After execution - In global scope, message is: $message" Remove-Module repoCase The behavior I expected was for the script block I passed to Test to affect the local scope of Test. It is being 'dotsourced' in, so any changes it makes should be within the scope of the caller. However, that's not what's happening, it seems to be affecting the scope of where it was declared. Here's the output: Before execution - In global scope, message is: Before running defaults, message is: Aftering running defaults, message is: Hello, world! Executing properties, message is Aftering running properties, message is: Hello, world! After execution - In global scope, message is: Hello from properties! Interestingly, if I don't export Test as a module and instead just declare the function and invoke it, everything works just like I would expect it to. The script block affects only Test's scope, and does not modify the global scope. I'm not a PowerShell guru, but can someone explain this behavior to me?

  • JavaScript - Why does google-maps wait until jquery finishes download?

    - by Teddyk
I'm using the following Google Maps autload (asynchronous) to load asynchronous both Google Maps v3 and JQuery, like so: <script type="text/javascript" src="http://www.google.com/jsapi?autoload={ "modules":[ {name:"maps",version:3,other_params:"sensor=false"},{"name":"jquery","version":"1.4.2"},{"name":"jqueryui","version":"1.8.1"} ]}"></script> However, looking at the network traffic, it appears that it is not downloading asynchronously. Question: Does anyone understand why the %7Bcommon (google-maps) file is being delayed from download until the jquery-ui.min file completes download first?

  • Store PHP Exceptions in array

    - by Industrial
Hi everyone, I am really not sure if this is the right way to go, since exceptions is really a fresh subject to me. Is it possible to catch multiple exceptions (let the execution of the script continue) and then store the exceptions in a array to be able to return all exceptions caused? By that said, it would be awesome to be able to use exceptions to more than just showing an error that kills the application (script) Thanks!

  • jQueryUI Tabs: how to keep them on a single line?

    - by Andi
    Hi all, Maybe my question is wired: is there a way to prevent jQueryUI tabs from floating if browser window is too small? Explanation: I have a simple horizontal tab using CSS only. The content is floating but not the tabs. Important: there is no width set manually, the current width is taken automatically. Here is the code: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8"/> <style type="text/css"> #tabs ul { white-space: nowrap; } #tabs ul li { display: inline; white-space: nowrap; } </style> <title>Tabs-CSS</title> </head> <body> <div class="demo"> <div id="tabs"> <ul> <li><a href="#tabs-1">Preloaded</a></li> <li><a href="ajax/content1.html">Tab 1</a></li> <li><a href="ajax/content2.html">Tab 2</a></li> <li><a href="ajax/content3-slow.php">Tab 3 (slow)</a></li> <li><a href="ajax/content4-broken.php">Tab 4 (broken)</a></li> <li><a href="ajax/content4-broken.php">Tab 4 (broken)</a></li> <li><a href="ajax/content4-broken.php">Tab 4 (broken)</a></li> <li><a href="ajax/content4-broken.php">Tab 4 (broken)</a></li> <li><a href="ajax/content4-broken.php">Tab 4 (broken)</a></li> </ul> <div id="tabs-1"> <p>Proin elit arcu, rutrum commodo, vehicula tempus, commodo a, risus. • How do I reconnect to Memcache when forking in rails?

    - by Daniel Huckstep
I have a rails 3 application, and a script called by rails runner. This script forks and does some stuff in other processes. I do the proper thing with ActiveRecord before forking, where I disconnect-fork-reconnect and all that jazz. My question is I also use memcache for the Rails.cache but should I be disconnecting-reconnecting that too for my forks? If so, how would I go about that in the rails way.

  • How to build an offline web app using Flask?

    - by Rafael Alencar
I'm prototyping an idea for a website that will use the HTML5 offline application cache for certain purposes. The website will be built with Python and Flask and that's where my main problem comes from: I'm working with those two for the first time, so I'm having a hard time getting the manifest file to work as expected. The issue is that I'm getting 404's from the static files included in the manifest file. The manifest itself seems to be downloaded correctly, but the files that it points to are not. This is what is spit out in the console when loading the page: Creating Application Cache with manifest http://127.0.0.1:5000/static/manifest.appcache offline-app:1 Application Cache Checking event offline-app:1 Application Cache Downloading event offline-app:1 Application Cache Progress event (0 of 2) http://127.0.0.1:5000/style.css offline-app:1 Application Cache Error event: Resource fetch failed (404) http://127.0.0.1:5000/style.css The error is in the last line. When the appcache fails even once, it stops the process completely and the offline cache doesn't work. This is how my files are structured: sandbox offline-app offline-app.py static manifest.appcache script.js style.css templates offline-app.html This is the content of offline-app.py: from flask import Flask, render_template app = Flask(__name__) @app.route('/offline-app') def offline_app(): return render_template('offline-app.html') if __name__ == '__main__': app.run(host='0.0.0.0', debug=True) This is what I have in offline-app.html: <!DOCTYPE html> <html manifest="{{ url_for('static', filename='manifest.appcache') }}"> <head> <title>Offline App Sandbox - main page</title> </head> <body> <h1>Welcome to the main page for the Offline App Sandbox!</h1> <p>Some placeholder text</p> </body> </html> This is my manifest.appcache file: CACHE MANIFEST /style.css /script.js I've tried having the manifest file in all different ways I could think of: CACHE MANIFEST /static/style.css /static/script.js or CACHE MANIFEST /offline-app/static/style.css /offline-app/static/script.js None of these worked. The same error was returned every time. I'm certain the issue here is how the server is serving up the files listed in the manifest. Those files are probably being looked up in the wrong place, I guess. I either should place them somewhere else or I need something different in the cache manifest, but I have no idea what. I couldn't find anything online about having HTML5 offline applications with Flask. Is anyone able to help me out?
