    Hi! Newbie question: I'm wondering how to refresh/reload a page (or even specific div) once(!) using jQuery? Ideally in a way right after the "DOM structure" is available (cf.   • ASP.NET MVC Html.ValidationSummary(true) does not display model errors

    I have some problem with Html.ValidationSummary. I don't want to display property errors in ValidationSummary. And when I set Html.ValidationSummary(true) it does not display error messages from ModelState. When there is some Exception in controller action on string MembersManager.RegisterMember(member); catch section adds an error to the ModelState: ModelState.AddModelError("error", ex.Message); But ValidationSummary does not display this error message. When I set Html.ValidationSummary(false) all messages are displaying, but I don't want to display property errors. How can I fix this problem?   • Fancybox - ASP.NET button not working

    I've just determined using Firebug that when Fancybox window is created it actually takes all of my ASP.NET controls (contained in DIV tag) and puts them outside FORM tag. So I guess this is the reason why then ASP.NET button doesn't do anything - it is placed outside form. So, do you have any suggestions how I can prevent this (or make that ASP.NET button work), other than using completely different modal dialog? Thanks in advance.

    Hi, I have inherited some code in which I now have to add CSRF prevention and am trying to use the struts2 tokenSession interceptor to do this. I am adding a token to my form using the struts2 token tag like so: <form id="updateObject" name="updateObject" action="<%=request.getContextPath()%>/prv/updateObject.action" method="POST"> <fieldset class="x-fieldset"> <legend>Update object - Action Required</legend> <div>...</div> <s:token /> <s:hidden name="id" id="objectId" /> more stuff here... <input type="submit" value="Update Object" onclick="javascript:return doUpdateObject('myAction');"/> </fieldset> </form> In my javascript function, I am adding/removing some validation rules (depending upon the action required, and submitting the form: function doUpdateObject(action){ actionPanel.registerAction(action); // this function places the action name in an in-scope variable doUpdateObjectValidationSetup(action); // this function adds/removes jquery validation rules depending upon the action if($("#updateObject").valid()){ $("form#updateObject").submit(); } return false; } I have intercepted the request and a token is being added, however the struts2 tokenSession interceptor is returning invalid.token. The code works as expected without this interceptor. (struts2 xml file not posted - will post the relevant section if required). I have also used the tokenSession interceptor in other pages which use a basic html submit button (i.e. not going via javascript or jquery) and this also works as expected. What is making the token invalid? N.B. The project I have inherited uses a strange mixture of standard html, struts2 tags, ExtJS and JQuery. I will clean this up at some point but at the moment I just need to get the tokenSession interceptor working asap in the code as-is (as I have to apply a similar fix to several hundred pages...).     I'm using the W3C CSS Validator with the Profile CSS3 but the validator says that my CSS rgba()'s are wrong. I looked up the Color Module Level 3, and the syntax is the same as mine. I also tried the Dev-Validator, same result. Example input: div.class { border: 1px solid rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.5); } Am I wrong or why does the validator say that I have that many mistakes with rgba?

    I have a JSON result that contains numerous records. I'd like to show the first five records in one page and create pager links which have to move to that page with five record so on. I don't want the page to refresh which is why I'm hoping for a combination of JavaScript and jQuery.     I have got a disjointed rollover script from Dax Assist: www . daxassist . com/js/disjointedrollovers.cfm check out the page I'm working on: http://www.gherkin.co.nz/tester/ The rollovers works pretty well on firefox, but in Explorer the larger images show up under the central div, and in Safari, they don't seem to work at all. Any ideas?

I want to use the webbrowser control to get the silverlight canvas so that I can pass it to a WriteableBitmap() object. The silverlight is being loaded into a div called SilverlightHostControl and I am trying to get it like this in C#: object element = webBrowser.Document.GetElementById("SilverlightControlHost"); This returns a {System.Windows.Forms.HtmlElement} which contains the silverlight object but I don't know how to get the Silverlight object so I can use it the WriteableBitmap() object.

  • Google Streetview under V3 Code having hiccups and delays

I'm using jQuery UI to switch the tabs on the location map/street view module. I've recently upgraded the Google Maps code as well as the Google Streetview code to version 3. So when I open it in Firefox, with Firebug on, as soon as I switch to the Streetview tab, the navigation and zoom in out controls show, but nothing shows.. and then when I try to drag the map around, it does not move around, but instead, causes errors in Firebug: "too much recursion". So it causes the whole browser to become buggy, slows down, and the errors happen, and nothing shows on the streetview pane. Most of the map loading code is located in inline Javascript on the page itself.     I've boiled down my page to the simplest possible thing, and it still doesn't work in IE8. The getLoginStatus callback is not invoked. When I click the Login button, I get a dialog, but it has a very strange error in it: Invalid Argument The Facebook Connect cross-domain receiver URL (http://static.ak.fbcdn.net/connect/xd_proxy.php#?=&cb=f3e91da434653f2&origin=http%3A%2F%2Fsword.sqprod.com%2Ff210cba91f2a6d4&relation=opener&transport=flash&frame=f27aa957225164&result=xxRESULTTOKENxx) must have the application's Connect URL (http://mysiteurl.com/) as a prefix. You can configure the Connect URL in the Application Settings Editor. I've sanitized the Connect URL above, but it is correct. The dialog does have username/password fields. If I log in, the dialog box gets redirected to my Connect URL, but there's no fb cookie, so of course nothing works. What am I doing wrong here?
