  • mysql error code 13 on windows xampp caused by lower case table names = 0

    I can import an sql (from test linux server mysql) file if the lower case setting is removed. But then the table names are lower case and the web site doesn't work. Originally it was working (my.ini with the lower case settings), I then exported to a linux server, it was working there. Now importing back to my windows (xampp setup) fails. After wild goose chase looking at disks and permissions, I found that if I remove the lower_case_table_names=0, the import works! But I need the case sensitive command so that I can deploy on the linux server.

Is it possible to do using vim in an automated way ?     I am trying to use EC2 tools to get all the machines with a particular tag in some type of array in /config/deploy/prod.rb file in Capistrano.   • Error code 2503 - Cannot install software on Windows 7 (64Bit)

    A short while ago, I had my hard drive die on me and at the same time my 1Tb backup drive! I took it back to the guy I bought the PC from and although the backup drive could not be recovered, he managed to get my machine working again by making a minor change in the BIOS which then got it out of that continuous loop it found itself in after multiple BSOD episodes. Everything seems to be working fine but yesterday when I tried to save something from Google Chrome, I got and insufficient permission problem and when I try to install software, I get an error of 2503. I have already followed the suggestions here but none of this worked for me. Any suggestions would be appreciated. EDIT: This started happening after I tried running a number of tests to get the machine working, including a previous restore point.

  • How optimize code with introspection + heavy alloc on iPhone

    I have a problem. I try to display a UITable that could have 2000-20000 records (typicall numbers.) I have a SQLite database similar to the Apple contacts application. I do all the tricks I know to get a smoth scroll, but I have a problem. I load the data in 50 recods blocks. Then, when the user scroll, request next 50 until finish the list. However, load that 50 records cause a notable "pause" in loading and scrolling. Everything else works fine. I cache the data, have opaque cells, draw it by code, etc... I swap the code loading the same data in dicts and have a performance boost but wonder if I could keep my object oriented aproach and improve the actual code.     Please read before answering. This is a fantasy programming technique I'm dreaming up. I want to know if there's anything close in real life. Is there anything in real life that comes close? If not, is it possible to define customized keywords in Java or JSP? Or do I have to create an entirely new programming language for that? What problems do you see with this kind of setup? PS: I know you can use HTML libraries to construct HTML using Java code, but the problem with such libraries is, the source code itself doesn't have a readable HTML representation like the code above does - if you get what I mean.

  • Code runs 6 times slower with 2 threads than with 1

I want a small amount of white space between each menu item, but when I have new lines between my <li> elements and my <a> elements in my IDE (Netbeans), the white space disappears, yet it looks fine if I have <li><a></a></li> all on the same line. I was always under the impression html ignored white space in the code. I've checked for any weird characters causing problems in other text editors and can't find anything. Here's the code...     Today I did a fresh install of ubuntu 12.04 and went about setting up my local development environment. Things I tried already: I googled and found a Ubuntu bug with apparmor (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mysql-5.5/+bug/970366), I changed apparmor from enforce mode to complain mode: sudo apt-get install apparmor-utils sudo aa-complain /usr/sbin/mysqld sudo /etc/init.d/apparmor reload but it didn't help. I still can't start mysql. I also thought the issue may be because the InnoDB logfiles were a different size than mysql was expecting. I removed the innodb log files before restarting using: sudo mv /var/lib/mysql/ib_logfile* /tmp. No luck though. Workaround: I re-installed 12.04, made sure not to touch /etc/mysql/my.cnf in any way. Mysql is working so I can get on with what I need to do. But I will need to edit it at some point - Hopefully I'll have figured out a solution, or this question will have been answered by that point...
