  I am trying to integrated my IOS 7 application with Facebook SDK I following this official tutorial https://developers.facebook.com/docs/ios/getting-started which states Configure the .plist Follow these three steps: Create a key called FacebookAppID with a string value, and add the app ID there. Create a key called FacebookDisplayName with a string value, and add the Display Name you configured in the App Dashboard. Create an array key called URL types with a single array sub-item called URL Schemes. Give this a single item with your app ID prefixed with fb. This is used to ensure the application will receive the callback URL of the web-based OAuth flow. The finished .plist should look something like this: My question is where to put these values? They already put this image, maybe it helps you to answer me Edit The problem that I don't have any plist file in my framework in xcode and I can't add a new one because if i did, I would have to add all the variables that you see in the image but the tutorial just stated about some of them

• Different return XML in a WCF Operation

  I am writing a service to a international HTTP standard, and there is one method that can return three different XML results, call them Single, Multiple and Error. Now I've written an IXmlSerializable class that can consume each of these results and generate them. However, WCF seems to insist that I can only have a single return XML root name. I have to choose an XmlRoot for my custom object of either Single, Multiple or Error. How can I set up WCF so that I can choose at runtime what the root will be? • PHP: Odd behaviour with date_sunset function

  I'm having a look at the date_sunset function in PHP and have met an issue that I find a bit strange. I have this piece of code: $sunset = date_sunset(mktime(0, 0, 0, 5, 14, 2010), $format, // Format 55.596041, // Latitude 12.992495, // Longitude 90, // Zenith 2 // GMT Offset ); For the three different formats, that would give me: SUNFUNCS_RET_STRING 21:05 SUNFUNCS_RET_DOUBLE 21.095732016315 SUNFUNCS_RET_TIMESTAMP 1273863944 // H:i:s O -> 19:05:44 +0000 Why is the timestamp format ignoring the gmt offset? Is is supposed to be like that? If so what is the reason behind that?

• multiple jQuery Cycle slideshows get superimposed

  I'm using the jQuery cycle plugin to create multiple slideshows on a single page (which, once I get this problem figured out, will be started/stopped by mouse hover -- yeah, I know there are 9 slideshows on the page). Problem is, when I tell more than one slideshow to start cycling, whichever ones I call cycle() on get superimposed. So, all the images from slide 1 are superimposed, then they all transition to slide 2, etc. I can tell they're being superimposed because the first slide of each slideshow contains a transparent PNG. This happens whether I call cycle() in a jQuery each() iterator, or even if I call it by hand on just two or three of the containers with a jQuery id selector. • Can managed and unmanaged C++/MFC be mixed in one dll?

  Previously we had software in MFC (VC6), VB6 and C# applications that needed to call the same engine written in C++ (and MFC). The engine required C++ for speed. At the time we decided to use COM as the interface because all three could use it with the least issues in marshalling, etc. Our MFC application is now deprecated and we have recently decided to dump VB6, so what we've got left is C#. We can just leave the COM engine as-is, but it would be nice to get away from COM registration, etc., and have a managed interface to work with. COM registration occasionally causes support issues if there is something wrong with the person's machine. Is it possible to have a dll with the existing unmanaged C++/MFC, and a .NET front end interface?

  Hello I am about to create my first proper application in ASP.NET MVC3. It is basically a jobs site with 3 levels: 1) Users - No registration and can view all jobs posted on the website 2) Posters - Need to register and login to post adverts 3) Admin - Need to register and login to post adverts and review postings before they go live Would you suggest I use the same Jobs controller for the three levels I mention above? With a LIST action to show jobs to "Users" and a CREATE & EDIT action for the "Posters" & "Admin"? Thanks Paul

• Redimming arrays in VBA

  I have 3 arrays of data, that are filled by reading off of an excel sheet, some of the points of data are missing and as such have just been entered into excel as "NA" so I want to look through my array and find each instance of these NA's and remove them from the array since the information is useless. I need to update all three arrays at the same time.   I have created a table named as ABC. It has three columns which are as follows:- The column number_pk (int) is the primary key of my table in which I have made the auto increment feature on for that column. Now I have deleted two rows from that table say Number_pk= 5 and Number_pk =6. The table which I get now is like this:- Now if I again enter two new rows in this table with the same value I get the two new Number_pk starting from 7 and 8 i.e, My question is that what is the logic behind this since I have deleted the two rows from the table. I know that a simple answer is because I have set the auto increment on for the primary key of my table. But I want to know is there any way that I can insert the two new entries starting from the last Number_pk without changing the design of my table? And how the SQL Server manage this record since I have deleted the rows from the database??

• capistrano put() and upload() both failing

  With capistrano, I am deploying a Rails application from Mac OS X 10.5 to CentOS 5.2 Note that deploy.rb and the server environment have not changed in over a year. There is a task within our deploy.rb file called upload: put(File.read( file ),"#{shared_path}/#{filename}", :via => :scp) This fails each and every time with the following exception: No such file or directory - /srv/ourapp/releases/20100104194410/config/database.yml My local copy of config/database.yml is failing to upload properly. I've verified it's not our internet connection, as this happens on three different connections and two different systems. I've also tried to swap out put() for upload() but get the same result; also, dropping :via = :scp, and/or trying to force :sftp instead similarly fails. Relevant info: $ cap -V Capistrano v2.5.10 $ ruby -v ruby 1.8.7 (2008-08-11 patchlevel 72) [i686-darwin9.6.0]

  I'm given three binary random variables: X, Y, and Z. I'm also given the following: P(Z | X) P(Z | Y) P(X) P(Y) I'm then supposed to determine whether or not it is possible to find P(Z | Y, X). I've tried rewriting the solution in the form of Bayes' Theorem and have gotten nowhere. Given that these are boolean random variables, is it possible to rewrite the system in terms of boolean algebra? I understand that the conditionals can be mapped to boolean implications (x -> y, or !x + y), but I'm unsure how this would translate in terms of the overall problem I'm trying to solve. (yes, this is a homework problem, but here I'm much more interested in how to formally solve this problem than what the solution is...I also figured this question would be entirely too simple for MathOverflow)

  I had an argument with a colleague about the best way to assign a variable in an if..else block. His orignal code was : @products = if params[:category] Category.find(params[:category]).products else Product.all end I rewrote it this way : if params[:category] @products = Category.find(params[:category]).products else @products = Product.all end This could also be rewritten with a one-liner using a ternery operator (? :) but let's pretend that product assignment was longer than a 100 character and couldn't fit in one line. Which of the two is clearer to you? The first solution takes a little less space but I thought that declaring a variable and assigning it three lines after can be more error prone. I also like to see my if and else aligned, makes it easier for my brain to parse it!

  I have three tables (user, friends, posts) and two users (user1 and user2). When user1 adds user2 as friend then user1 can see the posts of user2 just like on Facebook. But only the posts after the date when user1 added user2 as friend. My query is like this: $sql = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM posts p JOIN friends f ON p.currentuserid = f.friendid AND p.time >= f.friend_since OR p.currentuserid='user1id' WHERE f.myid='user1id' ORDER BY p.postid DESC LIMIT 20"); it is working all the way fine but with a little problem.....!! it displays user2, user3 (all the users as friends of user1) posts for single time but shows user1 posts multiple.......i.e user2. hi user1. userssfsfsfsfsdf user1. userssfsfsfsfsdf user3. dddddddd user1. sdfsdsdfsdsfsf user1. sdfsdsdfsdsfsf but i in database it is single entry/post why it is happening........!! How can I fix it?

• Strange routing

  How I can setup my rails app to respond to such urls: http://mydomain.com/white-halogene-lamp http://mydomain.com/children-lamps http://mydomain.com/contact-form The first one should link to my products controller, and show my product with this name The second one should link to my categories controller, and show the category with this name The third one should link to my sites controller, and show the site with this title. All three models (product, category, site) have a method to_seo, giving the mentioned above urls (after the slash) I know it's not the restful way, but please don't disuss here, it is wrong approach or not, that's not the question. The question is how to accomplish this weird routing ? I know we have catch all routes, but how I can tell rails to use different controllers on different urls in the catch all route ? Or have You an better idea ? I would avoid redirects to other urls.

  Guidelines for code-golf on SO We've all seen phone numbers that are put into words: 1-800-BUY-MORE, etc. What is the shortest amount of code you can write that will produce all the possible combinations of words for a 7 digit US phone number. Input will be a seven digit integer (or string, if that is simpler), and assume that the input is properly formed. Output will be a list of seven character strings that For instance, the number 428-5246 would produce GATJAGM GATJAGN GATJAGO GATJAHM GATJAHN GATJAHO and so on..... Winning criteria will be code from any language with the fewest characters that produce every possible letter combination. Additional Notes: To make it more interesting, words can be formed only by using the letters on a North American Classic Key Pad phone with three letters per number as defined here.That means that Z and Q are excluded. For the number '1', put a space. For the number '0', put a hyphen '-' Bonus points awarded for recognizing output as real English words. Okay, not really. ;-)

• Mercurial Messing Up csproj Files?

  I am using Hg to manage and merge code with three other developers involved in a VS2008 project. We do have an .hgignore file that ignores a fair number of files not necessary to track, such as *.pdb, *.obj, etc. However, we do track .csproj files. Periodically, it would seem that files go missing after a merge. We would get build issues, and have to relocate files which were in the project folders, but not in the csproj file. Eventually, I noted during a merge conflict that sometimes Hg seems to merge incorrectly. Here's a screenshot below. The actual conflict that requires manual intervention is lower in the file. But in this section, hg incorrectly replaces DirectoryTasks.cs with a new, different file called ReportTasks.cs, when in fact, both should be added. How do people manage to avoid this?

• What would you recommend for a large-scale Java data grid technology: Terracotta, GigaSpaces, Cohere

  I've been reading up on so-called "data grid" solutions for the Java platform including Terracotta, GigaSpaces and Coherence. I was wondering if anyone has real-world experience working any of these tools and could share their experience. I'm also really curious to know what scale of deployment people have worked with: are we talking 2-4 node clusters or have you worked with anything significantly larger than that? I'm attracted to Terracotta because of its "drop in" support for Hibernate and Spring, both of which we use heavily. I also like the idea of how it decorates bytecode based on configuration and doesn't require you to program against a "grid API." I'm not aware of any advantages to tools which use the approach of an explicit API but would love to hear about them if they do in fact exist. :) I've also spent time reading about memcached but am more interested in hearing feedback on these three specific solutions. I would be curious to hear how they measure up against memcached in the event someone has used both.

If @status_dte < app_date Error Note: @status_dte is a variable stored as the status_dte from table1 However, I want it to throw an error when the EARLIEST status_dte from table 2 with a status_cde of 'Y' is less than the app_dte column in table 1. Keep in mind that this earliest date is not stored anywhere, the history of data changes per customer. Another customer might have the following history. Log_id customer_Id status_dte status_cde 01 002 2010-04-20 N 02 002 2010-04-18 N 03 002 2010-04-19 Y 04 002 2010-04-19 Y Any ideas on how I can approach this?

• OpenGL extensions available on different Android devices

  I'm in the process of writing an OpenGL ES powered framework for my next Android game(s). Currently I'm supporting three different techniques of drawing sprites: the basic way: using vertex arrays (slow) using vertex-buffer-objects (VBOs) (faster) using the draw_texture extension (fastest, but only for basic sprites, i.e. no transforming) Vertex arrays are supported in OpenGL ES 1.0 and thus in every Android-device. I'm guessing most (if not all) of the current devices also support VBOs and draw_texture. Instead of guessing, I'd like to know the extensions supported by different devices. If majority of devices support VBOs, I could simplify my code and focus only on VBOs + draw_texture. It'd be helpful to know what different devices support, so if you have an Android-device, do report the extensions list please. :) String extensions = gl.glGetString(GL10.GL_EXTENSIONS); I've got a HTC Hero, so I can share those extensions next.

• Copying Data to a Master sheet from other sheets without duplicates

  I have four workbooks, three of which are for data entries, and the latter which hosts all data entered in the other workbooks; as a matter of fact, it serves as a master workbook. I need code to copy data entered in each workbook in sheet 1 to be copied to the next available row on sheet 1 of the master workbook, but if the data to be copied from these individual workbooks are duplicates, then a message box should pop up displaying that its a duplicate. To be precise, I want the users to type p in column j indicating process, and click a button in the spreadsheet to copy the data to the master sheet. I would be glad for any assistance.   I could not figure out the logic I would need to display a current minute of a soccer match. I have three fields in the database. DateFirstStarted DateSecondStarted DateFullEnded I should enter DateFirstStarted when the game starts and on the website. i.e. game starts at 7:05pm, on 7:25pm it should display '20 on the website. However, it should stop on the 45th minute. Then, I enter DateSecondStarted when the second half starts and should count from 46 to 90 and freeze there. Do I make sense? How can I do it? Is there a better way to do this?

• emacs windows, distribute the width through the frame

  I used once a very nice emacs function that set all my windows (emacs windows, not frames) width evenly. If you open emacs and do C-x 3 twice in a row, you get three vertical windows. Then running the function I am looking for makes the width of these windows the same. I can't for the life of me find this function again. Wouldn't someone help me to: find the name of the function give me the keyboard shortcut if any tell me what I should have done to find the answer by myself Thanks!
