    Are the REST for ASP.NET MVC bits automatically included with MVC 2, or do you need to download/install/use the REST for ASP.NET MVC bits separately? Specifically, I'm referring to the REST for ASP.NET MVC download here: http://aspnet.codeplex.com/releases/view/24471#DownloadId=79561 I want to use REST for ASP.NET MVC for the automatic json/xml serialization based on the incoming request's accepted content type. I'm not really finding any info about MVC2's ability to do this out of the "box".

    Hi, I am running a plugin called Category Posts Widget for WordPress: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/category-posts/ It uses a while loop to display the names of all posts in a certain category. I want to get it so that there is a different class attached to the li tag on every second output.     As the title says: how can I use the Restful Authentication Plugin with Ruby on Rails. When I want to create a new user, it requires me to set the (wrong-named, confusing field) login (= username), email address and password. However, I want, like Facebook does, to require the user to enter only an email address and password, not a username. People will also login with this email address. Can anyone help me?

  • How do I append to the end of the comments array in WordPress?

    I'm trying to include something at the end of the comments array for a WordPress plugin. I currently have add_filter('comments_array', 'my_function'), where my_function($comments='') is something along the lines of: my_function($comments='') { echo 'something'; return $comments; } I obviously can't return the comments first, and echoing them doesn't work because $comments is a multi-dimensional array. Is there some way I can print the WordPress comments and then append something to them? Thanks.

    Hi all, i am currently working on a web application that needs to accept video uploaded by users in any format (.avi, .mov, etc.) and convert them to flv for playing in a flash-based player. Since the site is OpenCms-based, the best solution would be a ready-made plugin for OpenCms that allowed to upload and play videos doing the transcode operation in background, but just a set of Java classes to do the transcode would be great and then i could make the uploading form and playback part on my own.

  • How do I cache WCF REST web service in IIS7?

    When I turn on output caching for my service it doesn't appear to be cache-worthy in IIS. It really should be since I'm returning the same JSON content over and over. The varyByQueryString option seems like it would do the trick, but since my resources are URI based, there really isn't a query string, just a path to a resource. Has anyone successfully gotten IIS to output cache a WCF REST service?

The application logs show that on login, we can authenticate the user and get their roles via LDAP, but the login fails because the User Details cannot be found in the application's database.
