I know it's super easy in jquery with $(document).width and $document.height, but I don't want to add the size of the jquery lib to the project, so I'd rather just use built in javascript. I tried: r = re.compile(r'(\d+)') def sort_by_number(s): m = r.match(s) return m.group(0) x.sort(key=sort_by_number) But some strings do not have numbers and this leads to an errors. Thanks.

    I need to save all ".xml" file names in a directory to a vector. To make a long story short, I cannot use the dirent API. It seems as if C++ does not have any concept of "directories". Once I have the filenames in a vector, I can iterate through and "fopen" these files. Is there an easy way to get these filenames at runtime?

Recently, I've heard about Docbook, which is also a typesetting mechanism, but much easier since it uses XML. So, if my main job using LaTeX/Docbook is writing a simple document (not a class book) with some mathematics, and I want easy configuration, and a highly constomizable application, which one is better, and is there any good book on Docbook?

    Do you have experience with a Javascript templating engine, one that is stable, easy to use and has good performance? I need to do apply the same template many times for different data. I prefer to download the template itself once (and have it cached) rather than processing the template on the server. Also, this way the template itself would be a static resource more easily cached in the server side too.

  • Chrome not displaying a div

    Click here to see a simple example of what I want. It's really easy, but for some reason Google won't display the "subTotalCaption2" div. It's part of a foreach loop, if needed I can add other codes. There is nothing else in the rest of the css to mess with this, I have checked about 10 times.     I feel like there should be a simple way to do this but I can't figure it out. I have a JFileChooser that allows the user to select directories. I want to show all the files in the directories to give the user some context, but only directories should be accepted as selections (maybe the Open button would be disabled when a file is selected). Is there an easy way of doing this?

    I want to parse a timestamp from a log file that has been written via datetime.datetime.now().strftime('%Y%m%d%H%M%S') and then compute the number of seconds that have passed since this timestamp. I know I could do it with datetime.datetime.strptime to get back a datetime object and then compute a timedelta. Problem is, the strptime function has been introduced with Python 2.5 and I'm using Python2.4.4 (an upgrade is not possible in my context). Any easy way to do this?

    Is there an easy way to convert an int to an IP address in PostgreSQL? I was able to go from IP to int using this code: SELECT inet '1.2.3.4'-'0.0.0.0' This doesn't work: SELECT 16909060::inet I didn't see anything in the documentation. Does anyone know how to do this?

I took some accounting courses as electives (accounting 1-2 and finance) and I found them interesting and easy. Is it worth it to do CFA?
