• Excel table auto update

  So I have a table in Excel with formulas. When I add a new row, the new row automatically fills in the formulas as well, which is great. My problem is that it also changes the formula in the row above the added row as well. Here's what happens specifically: My table's last row is row 24. A formula I have in that row is the following: =COUNTIF(C$11:C24,"y")/(COUNTIF(C$11:C24,"Y")+COUNTIF(C$11:C24,"N")) When I add in data in row 25 the formula is updated in row 25 as well, which is what I want, to the following: =COUNTIF(C$11:C25,"y")/(COUNTIF(C$11:C25,"Y")+COUNTIF(C$11:C25,"N")) My problem is that the row above also updates - my row 24 changes to the same as row 25 (the C24 goes to C25). Why is my row 24 formula changing when I add a row 25? Note, my formulas above row 24 stay the same when I add in row 25 - only row 24 changes when I add in 25. Is there a way to not update the row above the row being added? This problem continues when additional rows are added - If I add in a row 26, then the formula in rows 24-26 then all reference C26. Why are they all updating?

• Getting Run time 1004 error in code

  I tried the code provided by vba express for combining sheet, while execution it is displaying Run Time error 1004: Application Defined or Object Defined Error: My Scenario is: I have a Excel, in that I have first sheet "Connection" and after it I have Sheet1, Sheet2 and so on. I am combining all sheets except Sheet"Conection" by saying start with sheet2. I tried following line of code to exclude "Connection" sheet: If Not Sheet.Name = "Connection" then but it did not work. Whatever the sheets I have in some of them I have large data in some cells. • Render MVCContrib Grid with No Header Row

  The MVCContrib Grid allows for the easy construction of HTML tables for displaying data from a collection of Model objects. I add this component to all of my ASP.NET MVC projects.  If you aren’t familiar with what the grid has to offer, it’s worth the looking into. What you may notice in the busy example below is the fact that I render my column headers independent of the grid contents.  This allows me to keep my headers fixed while the user searches through the table content which is displayed in a scrollable div*.  Thus, I needed a way to render my grid without headers. The GridRenderer feature found in the MVCContrib Grid is so well put together, I just had to share.  * Though you can find countless alternatives to the fixed headers problem online, this is the only solution that I’ve ever found to reliably work across browsers.   Earlier I have published Puzzle Why SELECT * throws an error but SELECT COUNT(*) does not. This question have received many interesting comments. Let us go over few of the answers, which are valid. Before I start the same, let me acknowledge Rob Farley who has not only answered correctly very first but also started interesting conversation in the same thread. It doesn’t even look to see what columns are available, it’ll just count the rows, which in the case of a missing FROM clause, is 1. “select *” is designed to return columns, and therefore barfs if there are none available. Even more odd is this one: select ‘blah’ where exists (select *) You might be surprised at the results… Koushik The engine performs a “Constant scan” for Count(*) where as in the case of “SELECT *” the engine is trying to perform either Index/Cluster/Table scans. amikolaj When you query ‘select * from sometable’, SQL replaces * with the current schema of that table. With out a source for the schema, SQL throws an error. so when you query ‘select count(*)’, you are counting the one row. * is just a constant to SQL here. Check out the execution plan. Like the description states – ‘Scan an internal table of constants.’ You could do ‘select COUNT(‘my name is adam and this is my answer’)’ and get the same answer. It is like compilation error for that query. Ramesh Hi Friends, Count is an aggregate function and it expects the rows (list of records) for a specified single column or whole rows for *. So, when we use ‘select *’ it definitely give and error because ‘*’ is meant to have all the fields but there is not any table and without table it can only raise an error. So, in the case of ‘Select Count(*)’, there will be an error as a record in the count function so you will get the result as ’1'. These are basically your 1 to 1 representation of a database table. Each table in the database will have 1 and only 1 EO. The EO contains the mapping between columns and attributes. EO's also contain the business logic and validation. These are you core data services. They are responsible for updating, inserting and deleting records. The Attributes tab displays the actual mapping between attributes and columns, the mapping has following fields: Name : contains the name of the attribute we expose in our data model. • jQuery unbinding click event when maximum number of children are displayed

  I have a personal details form that alows you to enter a certain number of dependants which is determined by the JSP application. The first dependant is visible and the user has the option to add dependants up to the maximum number. All other dependants are hidden by default and are displayed when a user clicks the 'Add another dependant button'. When the maximum number of dependants has been reached the button is greyed out and a message is generated via jQuery and displayed to tell the user exactly this. The issue i am having is when the maximum number of dependants has been reached the message is displayed but then the user can click the button to add more dependants and the message keeps on generating. I thought unbinding the click event would sort this but it seems to still be able to generate a second message.   Hi all this is my first Question here! Im just making my first steps with (Ext-) GWT. I´m testing the Ext-GWT libraries and really: These are absolute great! Now my question: Is it possible to make a kind of "clear-Portal" or "hide all portles" for a defined Portal? Or have i always manually clear the portal like in my example code above? The Listener on this button should hide all portlets in the portal (at this time its the portletUser and portletVehicles) and then add another portlet (for example the portletCountries): portletUser.hide(); portletVehicles.hide(); portal.add(portletCountries, 0) Question from above again ;-) Is it possible to make a kind of "clear-Portal" or "hide all portles" for a defined Portal?   Hello, How to do bind data from DataTable to Chart series? I get null reference exception. I tried binding with square brackets and it did not worked either. So, how to do the binding? Thanks. P.S: I included DataGrid XAML and CS which works just fine. Converting data to List<KeyValuePair<string,int>> works good but it is kinda slow and is unnessesary trash in code. I use WPFToolkit (the latest version). When I build the project and attempt to add it to the server by selecting 'add or remove projects' I get the response that there are no projects to add or remove. Does this mean I will have to create a EAR file (J2EE Project) and add my web project to it in order to deploy to the local WAS? Might I be missing some essential configuration?
