  I am trying to create wsdl definition for the below soap response, < reasonCode Required="TRUE" < ValidCodeRR< /ValidCode < ValidCodeRB< /ValidCode < ValidCodeRT< /ValidCode < ValidCodeAR< /ValidCode < /reasonCode Below is the wsdl definition I have, < xsd:complexType < xsd:sequence < xsd:element name="ValidCode" type="xsd:string" minOccurs="0" maxOccurs="20" / < /xsd:sequence < xsd:attribute name="Required" type="xsd:string" / < /xsd:complexType < /xsd:element I am using Axis 1 to generate the webservices client and for the above wsdl definition, the tool generates the reasonCode as a string array like below. private java.lang.String[] reasonCode It ignores the attribute required. Does anyone know how to write wsdl defintion, such that axis creates reasonCode as an element with an attribute "required". Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, SK

• Help with jQuery Validation plugin and a form that uses 'panels'

  I have a form that works in 'sections' that I will refer to as 'panels'. By default, the form is listed out on the page, one panel after the other. However, with JavaScript, it puts the panels into one panel viewer, and displays them one after the other (with prev/next buttons). Example Form Workflow Panel 1: User Details - Panel 2: User Location - Panel 3: User Info - Panel 4: Confirm Details I am using the jQuery Validation plugin. My problem is, I have set up all the rules for all the inputs in the first 3 panels, and I'd like to be able to only validate a subset of them per panel. Example, when pushing 'next panel' after completing name & email (in the 1st, user details panel), I'd like to do a validation only on that panel first, and then get a boolean response (if the 1st panel validated), and if true, then proceed to the next panel. I've played around with a bit of the config, but unfortunately could not get it to work as I wanted. This is my first project with this plugin so I'm quite new to it! Is there a way to add rules dynamically to the plugin? i.e. not on $('form').validate(options) ? What I'd like to do, is call the validate() on the form, with all the error messages, and then on the 'next panel' code, do a switch case to determine which rules to add, and then call a validate() myself.

• Website. AJAX and FIREFOX problems. I dont think Firefox likes ajax..?

  Working on an AJAX website (HTML,CSS,JavaScript, AJAX, PHP, MySQL). I have multiple javascript functions which take rows from mysql, wrap them in html tags, and embed them in the HTML (the usual usage of AJAX). THE PROBLEM: Everything is working perfect, except when I run the site with Firefox (for once its not InternetExplorer causing the trouble). The site is currently in the developmental stage, so its offline, but running on the localhost (WampServer, apache, Windows XP SP3,VISTA,7). All other cross-browser conflicts have been removed, and works perfectly on all major browsers including IE, Chrome, Opera and Safari, but I get absolutely nothing from the HTTPRequest (AJAX) if the browser is Firefox. All browsers have the latest versions. • confused about how to use JSON in C#

  The answer to just about every single question about using C# with json seems to be "use JSON.NET" but that's not the answer I'm looking for. the reason I say that is, from everything I've been able to read in the documentation, JSON.NET is basically just a better performing version of the DataContractSerializer built into the .net framework... Which means if I want to deserialize a JSON string, I have to define the full, strongly-typed class for EVERY request I might have. so if I have a need to get categories, posts, authors, tags, etc, I have to define a new class for every one of these things. This is fine if I built the client and know exactly what the fields are, but I'm using someone else's api, so I have no idea what the contract is unless I download a sample response string and create the class manually from the JSON string. Is that the only way it's done? Is there not a way to have it create a kind of hashtable that can be read with json["propertyname"]? Finally, if I do have to build the classes myself, what happens when the API changes and they don't tell me (as twitter seems to be notorious for doing)? I'm guessing my entire project will break until I go in and update the object properties... So what exactly is the general workflow when working with JSON? And by general I mean library-agnostic. I want to know how it's done in general, not specifically to a target library... I hope that made sense, this has been a very confusing area to get into... thanks!

What would be an alternative approach for my case? You also shared with me the django comment app, which am aware of but the client am working with requires a lot of complex work to be done in the comment app thats why am working on a new one.

• Creating A Single Threaded Server with AnyEvent (Perl)

  I'm working on creating a local service to listen on localhost and provide a basic call and response type interface. What I'd like to start with is a baby server that you can connect to over telnet and echoes what it receives. I've heard AnyEvent is great for this, but the documentation for AnyEvent::Socket does not give a very good example how to do this. I'd like to build this with AnyEvent, AnyEvent::Socket and AnyEvent::Handle. • Special characters stripped by mySQL/PHP JSON

  Hi, I have a simple PHP script to extract data from a mySQL database and encode it as JSON. The problem is that special characters (for example German ä or ß characters) are stripped from the JSON response. Everything after the first special character for any single field is just stripped. The fields are set to utf8_bin, and in phpMyAdmin the characters display correctly.   I have a web user control, CreateQuestion.ascx, in ASP.NET. I want an event "QuestionAdded" to fire when a specific button is clicked. I don't want to send any data, I just want to know WHEN the button is fired. • Finding character in String in Vector.

  Judging from the title, I kinda did my program in a fairly complicated way. BUT! I might as well ask anyway xD This is a simple program I did in response to question 3-3 of Accelerated C++, which is an awesome book in my opinion. I created a vector: vector<string> countEm; That accepts all valid strings. Therefore, I have a vector that contains elements of strings. Next, I created a function int toLowerWords( vector<string> &vec ) { for( int loop = 0; loop < vec.size(); loop++ ) transform( vec[loop].begin(), vec[loop].end(), vec[loop].begin(), ::tolower ); that splits the input into all lowercase characters for easier counting. So far, so good. I created a third and final function to actually count the words, and that's where I'm stuck. int counter( vector<string> &vec ) { for( int loop = 0; loop < vec.size(); loop++ ) for( int secLoop = 0; secLoop < vec[loop].size(); secLoop++ ) { if( vec[loop][secLoop] == ' ' ) That just looks ridiculous. Using a two-dimensional array to call on the characters of the vector until I find a space. Ridiculous. I don't believe that this is an elegant or even viable solution. If it was a viable solution, I would then backtrack from the space and copy all characters I've found in a separate vector and count those. My question then is. How can I dissect a vector of strings into separate words so that I can actually count them? I thought about using strchr, but it didn't give me any epiphanies.

• Jquery Bugs?? Long decimal number after two numbers multiply...

  Hi all I am working on a shopping site and I am trying to calculate the subtotal of products. I got my price from a array and quantity from getJSON response array. Two of them multiply comes to my subtotal. I can change the quantity and it will comes out different subtotal. However,when I change the quantity to certain number, the final subtotal is like 259.99999999994 or some long decimal number. I use console.log to check the $price and $qty. Both of them are in the correct format ex..299.99 and 6 quantity.I have no idea what happen. I would appreciate it if someone can help me about it. • Unknown and unreproducible crash causes App Store rejection

  After submitting our application several times, we continue to receive the following response: Thank you for submitting My App to the App Store. We've reviewed your application and determined that we cannot post this version of your iPad application to the App Store because My App is crashing on iPad running iPhone OS 3.2 and Mac OS X 10.6.2. My App crashes upon launch. Unfortunately, crash logs have not been generated. However, resigning the same build with the AdHoc entitlements and loading the build onto the device yields no such crash. After a number of attempts, the application simply does not crash as reported by the reviewer. Furthermore, the reviewer does not provide any useful logging that may have been generated by SpringBoard such as an exit status or event if it had worked properly for any other device. There are no calls to explicitly exit or quit the application in the code line and yet the application terminates on startup. What might cause an application to terminate in such a manner? Under what conditions is an application tested that might not be found under a development environment? Could it be a result of a signing issue that the submission validation system is simply unable to catch? Thanks in advance.

• Inconsistent behavior working with "Flex on Rails" example.

  I'm experimenting with Flex and Rails right now (Rails is cool). I'm following the examples in the book "Flex on Rails", and I'm getting some puzzling and inconsistent behavior. Heres the Flex MXML: <mx:HTTPService id="index" url="http://localhost:3000/people.xml" resultFormat="e4x" /> <mx:DataGrid dataProvider="{index.lastResult.person}" width="100%" height="100%"> <mx:columns> <mx:DataGridColumn headerText="First Name" dataField="first-name"/> <mx:DataGridColumn headerText="Last Name" dataField="last-name"/> </mx:columns> </mx:DataGrid> <mx:Script> <![CDATA[ import mx.controls.Alert; private function main():void { Alert.show( "In main()" ); } ]]> </mx:Script> When I run the app from my IDE (Amythyst beta, also cool), the DataGrid appears, but is not populated. The Alert.show() also triggers. When I go out to a web browser and manually enter the url (http://localhost:3000/people.xml), the Mongrel console shows the request coming through and the browser shows the web response. No exceptions or other error messages occur. Whats the difference? Do I need to alter some OS setting? I'm using Win7 on an x64 machine.

• MySQL Ratings From Two Tables

  I am using MySQL and PHP to build a data layer for a flash game. Retrieving lists of levels is pretty easy, but I've hit a roadblock in trying to fetch the level's average rating along with it's pointer information. Here is an example data set: levels Table: level_id | level_name 1 | Some Level 2 | Second Level 3 | Third Level ratings Table: rating_id | level_id | rating_value 1 | 1 | 3 2 | 1 | 4 3 | 1 | 1 4 | 2 | 3 5 | 2 | 4 6 | 2 | 1 7 | 3 | 3 8 | 3 | 4 9 | 3 | 1 I know this requires a join, but I cannot figure out how to get the average rating value based on the level_id when I request a list of levels. This is what I'm trying to do: SELECT levels.level_id, AVG(ratings.level_rating WHERE levels.level_id = ratings.level_id) FROM levels I know my SQL is flawed there, but I can't figure out how to get this concept across. The only thing I can get to work is returning a single average from the entire ratings table, which is not very useful. Ideal Output from the above conceptually valid but syntactically awry query would be: level_id | level_rating 1| 3.34 2| 1.00 3| 4.54 My main issue is I can't figure out how to use the level_id of each response row before the query has been returned. It's like I want to use a placeholder... or an alias... I really don't know and it's very frustrating. The solution I have in place now is an EPIC band-aid and will only cause me problems long term... please help!

That JSP page contains a dynamic content - e.g. content that is based on values received from the current session. I solved this problem , but I'm in doubt because I think that my solution is bad , or maybe there is better solution since I'm not expert. Is there better solution ?

• curl cookie not creating on success

  Hi I'm using cUrl(PHP) to post a login request and store response in cookie file. In my second request I'm passing cookie in header and post data to verify it. Issue is that cookie file is not created in first succesful request results in failure for second request.   I have followed this article and implemented my service and I can open the web browser and see the test data being published. I would like to create a custom formatted response, as for my needs this will not be published to the internet and it's an isolated feed that other devices on the local network could read to get the data I'm publishing. I'd like to create an XML document and publish it instead of using the SyndicationItem that is being used in the article to display title, author, description, etc. Would like to create something simple to be published: <MyData> <ID>33883</ID> <Title>The Name</Title> <Artist>The Artist</Artist> </MyData> I know how to create that in an XMLWriter, but how to publish in a SyndicationFeedFormatter that is the return type for the function in the article? I have seen the XmlSyndicationContent class but haven't seen any practical examples that would accomplish what I want to do.

• C headers: compiler specific vs library specific?

  Is there some clear-cut distinction between standard C *.h header files that are provided by the C compiler, as oppossed to those which are provided by a standard C library? Is there some list, or some standard locations? Motivation: int this answer I got a while ago, regarding a missing unistd.h in the latest TinyC compiler, the author argued that unistd.h (contrarily to sys/unistd.h) should not be provided by the compiler but by your C library. I could not make much sense of that response (for one thing shouldn't that also apply to, say, stdio.h?) but I'm still wondering about it. Is that correct? Where is some authoritative reference for this? Looking in other compilers, I see that other "self contained" POSIX C compilers that are hosted in Windows (like the GCC toolchain that comes with MinGW, in several incarnations; or Digital Mars compiler), include all header files. And in a standard Linux distribution (say, Centos 5.10) I see that the gcc package provides a few header files (eg, stdbool.h, syslimits.h) in /usr/lib/gcc/i386-redhat-linux/4.1.1/include/, and the glibc-headers package provides the majority of the headers in /usr/include/ (including stdio.h, /usr/include/unistd.h and /usr/include/sys/unistd.h). So, in neither case I see support for the above claim.
