• Naudio - putting audio stream into values [-1,1]

  Hi all I need to put my audio stream into values of [-1,1]. Can someone tell me a good approach. I was reading byte array and float array from stream but I don't know what to do next. Here is my code: float[] bytes=new float[stream.Length]; float biggest= 0; for (int i = 0; i < stream.Length; i++) { bytes[i] = (byte)stream.ReadByte(); if (bytes[i] > biggest) { biggest=bytes[i]; } } and I don't know how to put values into stream. • For-Each and Pointers in Java

  Ok, so I'm tyring to iterate through an ArrayList and remove a specefic element. However, I am having some trouble using the For-Each like structure. When I run the following code: ArrayList<String> arr = new ArrayList<String>(); //... fill with some values (doesn't really matter) for(String t : arr) { t = " some other value "; //hoping this would change the actual array } for(String t : arr) { System.out.println(t); //however, I still get the same array here } My question in, how can I make 't' a pointer to 'arr' so that I am able to change the values in a for-each loop? I know I could loop through the ArrayList using a different structure, but this one looks so clean and readable, it would just be nice to be able to make 't' a pointer. All comments are appreciated! Even if you say I should just suck it up and use a different construct.

I already tried to use ax.plot_surface() function to make it look nice. For this I eliminated some points, and recalculated the matrix kind of input needed by this function. However, the graph I generated was far more difficult to interpret and understand. So there might be 2 possibilities: either I am not using the function correctly, or otherwise, the data I am trying to plot is not good for the surface plot. What I was expecting was 3D graph which would have an effect similar to that we have of 3D pie chart. We see that one piece (that which is extracted out) is part of another piece. I was not expecting it to be exactly same like that, but some kind of effect like that. What I would like to ask is: Do you think it will be possible to make such 3D graph? Is there any way better, I could express my data in 3 dimension? • Determine if PowerShell function is running as part of a pipeline?

  Can a PowerShell function determine if it is being run as part of a pipeline? I have a function which populates an array with instances of FileInfo which I would like to "yield" to the pipeline if the function is being run this way or produce some pretty output if the function is being invoked by itself from the command line. function Do-Something { $file_infos = @() # Populate $file_infos with FileInfo instances... if (INVOKED_IN_PIPELINE) { return $file_infos } else { foreach ($file_info in $file_infos) { write-host -foregroundcolor yellow $file_info.fullname } } } Basically, I'm trying to figure out how to implement INVOKED_IN_PIPELINE. If it is run in a pipeline (e.g. Do-Something | format-table fullname), I would simply yield the array, but if run directly (e.g. Do-Something), it would simply pretty-print the output. Is there a way to do this? If there is a more "idiomatic" way to achieve this kind of thing, I would also be interested to know.

• Web Url contains Spanish Characters which my NSXMLParser is not parsing

  I am Parsing Web urls from server and storing them in Strings and then displaying it on Webview. But now when i am parsing Spanish words like http://litofinter.es.milfoil.arvixe.com/litofinter/PDF/Presentación_LITOFINTER_(ES).pdf it is accepting it PDF File Name ++++++ http://litofinter.es.milfoil.arvixe.com/litofinter/PDF/Presentaci PDF File Name ++++++ ón_LITOFINTER_(ES).pdf i.e two different strings... i know i have to make small change that is append the string but i am not able to do it now, can anyone help me out. • Zend Framework: The form filter I am using is not filtering!

  So I have a form that is using the Zend_Filter_Null filter. When I call it directly, it works: $makeZeroNull = new Zend_Filter_Null(); $null = $makeZeroNull->filter('0'); //$null === null However, when I try to add it to an element in my form, it doesn't filter the value when I call getValue(). class My_Form extends Zend_Form { public function init() { $makeZeroNull = new Zend_Filter_Null(); $this->addElement('text', 'State_ID', array('filters' => array($makeZeroNull))); } } //in controller if ($form->isValid($_POST)) { $zero = $form->State_ID->getValue(); //getValue() should return null, but it is returning 0 } What is going on?   What is a good approach to sorting an array of strings in accordance with the current locale? For example the standard Array#sort puts "Ä" after "Z", which is not correct in German. I would have expected the gem I18n to offer a hook for defining my own sorting algorithms or providing collation strings or objects. In my imagination, passing this proc or string to the sort function, would make it behave as necessary. I know that this is possible in Python, for example. Google has not helped me this time. Can you? Any advice appreciated!

I need to search only between items that match pattern Word* and not * Word *. For example if I search "roma", this need to match just with "Roma" or "Romania" and not with "Castelli di Roma".   I'm a little confused about which jQuery method and/or selectors to use when trying to select an element, and then remove certain descendant elements from the wrapped set. For example, given the following HTML: <div id="article"> <div id="inset"> <ul> <li>This is bullet point #1.</li> <li>This is bullet point #2.</li> <li>This is bullet point #3.</li> </ul> </div> <p>This is the first paragraph of the article</p> <p>This is the second paragraph of the article</p> <p>This is the third paragraph of the article</p> </div> I want to select the article: var $article = $('#article'); but then remove <div id="inset"></div> and its descendants from the wrapped set. I tried the following: var $article = $('#article').not('#inset'); but that didn't work, and in retrospect, I think I can see why. I also tried using remove() unsuccessfully. What would be the correct way to do this? Ultimately, I need to set this up in such a way that I can define a configuration array, such as: var selectors = [ { select: '#article', exclude: ['#inset'] } ]; where select defines a single element that contains text content, and exclude is an optional array that defines one or more selectors to disregard text content from. Given the final wrapped set with the excluded elements removed, I would like to be able to call jQuery's text() method to end up with the following text: This is the first paragraph of the article.This is the second paragraph of the article.This is the third paragraph of the article. The configuration array doesn't need to work exactly like that, but it should provide roughly equivalent configuration potential. Thanks for any help you can provide!

  Is it possible to calculate the row position in the cartesian product of two arrays? For example if you have one array of two rows and another of three rows it's easy to calculate the size of the cartesian product (Array1.Rows.Count * Array2.Rows.Count = 6), but you can't iterate through each array and just use the product of the respective row positions to calculate the row position in the cartesian product. • node_load in drupal gets incorrect node when you are NOT logged in

  Hi All, i have a module and i am using node_load(array('nid' = arg(1))); now the problem is that this function keep getting its data for node_load from DB cache. how can i force this function to not use DB cache or static value? Example my link is http://mydomain.com/node/344983 now: $node=node_load(array('nid'=arg(1)),null,true); echo $node-nid; output: 435632 which is a randomly node id (available in the database) and everytime i ctrl+F5 my browser, i get new nid!! Note: if i am logged in, it gives the result correctly, but this problem happens only when i am browsing the website as an anonymous user i really appreciate any idea!! Thanks
