    I would like to add Infragistics dlls as custom prerequisite when publishing my project. I've read about that: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa730839%28VS.80%29.aspx But this seems to be a bit complicated... I wonder if exists a bit simple way to archive that (eg by passing URL to setup.exe or such) ? My C++ library is compiled as Multi Threaded DLL with MultiByte encoding. Any help would be appreciated. I saw this is a common problem online but no answers lead me to a solution for my problem.

  • I set a global bug catcher in my application for unhandled exceptions and it is picking up all exceptions

    I am trying to figure out why this is happing. In my vb.net application I set a global handler in the ApplicationEvents.vb which I thought would only pick up any unhandled exceptions, although it is picking up every exception that happens in my application whether or not they are handled with try catch blocks.     Here is the scenario: I put a break point at the beginning of a method that I want to debug... at first lets say there is Part1 in this method that I want to step into/over some of the codes... good... after that there is a While loop that I am NOT interested to step into/over it, I just want to tell the debugger that Hey you yourself run this loop for 10 times and just let me move to Part2 of my code which starts after this While loop , is it possible to do this with debugging options? so something like this : BreakPoint : MyMethod { Part One of the code : Ok, lets debug it While Loop : I do not care, Do not want to debug it Part Two of the code: Yes, I want to debug it too }

  • VS2010 (older) installer project - two or more objects have the same target location.

    This installer project was created back in 2004 and upgraded ever since. There are two offending dll files, which produce a total of 4 errors. I have searched online for this warning message and did not find a permanent fix (I did manage to make it go away once until I have done something like a clean, or built in Release, and then in Debug). I also tried cleaning, and then refreshing the dependencies. The duplicated entries are still in there. I also did not find a good explanation for what this error means. Additional warnings are of this nature: Warning 36 The version of the .NET Framework launch condition '.NET Framework 4' does not match the selected .NET Framework bootstrapper package. Update the .NET Framework launch condition to match the version of the .NET Framework selected in the Prerequisites Dialog Box. So, where is this prerequisites box? I want to make both things agree on .Net 4.0, just having a hard time locating both of them.

  • Stylesheets loading but styles not showing...

    Hi- I have a website I created in VS2010 and am trying to run with IIS7. My website starts in all major browsers but for some reason the styles are not applied even though I've confirmed using Firebug that the stylesheets have indeed loaded. Also, when I use the inspect tool to click on an element, I can see in the right-side box the specific styles that are supposed to be applied. I thought this might be a permissions issue but I think I've got those set properly. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

  • c++: see compiled object layout

    Hi, is there a way - much like the way i can see the result of preprocessing when using 'gcc -E' - to see what my objects look like once the compiler compiled them into object files? I am not too good in reading assembler, so an advice to get the results as text would be nice .. or at least a little 'howto read the constructor intructions' or 'howto find the constructor' ... I am talking about gcc/g++, but a solution including msvc would be fine. Thanks!

  • Getting information about where c++ exceptions are thrown inside of catch block?

    I've got a c++ app that wraps large parts of code in try blocks. When I catch exceptions I can return the user to a stable state, which is nice. But I'm not longer receiving crash dumps. I'd really like to figure out where in the code the exception is taking place, so I can log it and fix it. Being able to get a dump without halting the application would be ideal, but I'm not sure that's possible. Is there some way I can figure out where the exception was thrown from within the catch block? If it's useful, I'm using native msvc++ on windows xp and higher. My plan is to simply log the crashes to a file on the various users' machines, and then upload the crashlogs once they get to a certain size.

I want to implement a functionality like when the user clicks on the textbox, a list should be made available to the user and then the item selected from the list should be filled in the textbox. The list should not be available if some other control is focussed other than the textbox. What would be the better way to do this?
