  • [C#] Three System.Drawing methods manifest slow drawing or flickery: Solutions? or Other Options?

    - by Luke Mcneice
    Hi all, I am doing a little graphing via the System.Drawing and im having a few problems. I'm holding data in a Queue and i'm drawing(graphing) out that data onto three picture boxes this method fills the picture box then scrolls the graph across. so not to draw on top of the previous drawings (and graduly looking messier) i found 2 solutions to draw the graph. Call plot.Clear(BACKGOUNDCOLOR) before the draw loop [block commented] although this causes a flicker to appear from the time it takes to do the actual drawing loop. call plot.DrawLine(channelPen[5], j, 140, j, 0); just before each drawline [commented] although this causes the drawing to start ok then slow down very quickly to a crawl as if a wait command had been placed before the draw command. Here is the Code for reference: /*plotx.Clear(BACKGOUNDCOLOR) ploty.Clear(BACKGOUNDCOLOR) plotz.Clear(BACKGOUNDCOLOR)*/ for (int j = 1; j < 599; j++) { if (j > RealTimeBuffer.Count - 1) break; QueueEntity past = RealTimeBuffer.ElementAt(j - 1); QueueEntity current = RealTimeBuffer.ElementAt(j); if (j == 1) { //plotx.DrawLine(channelPen[5], 0, 140, 0, 0); //ploty.DrawLine(channelPen[5], 0, 140, 0, 0); //plotz.DrawLine(channelPen[5], 0, 140, 0, 0); } //plotx.DrawLine(channelPen[5], j, 140, j, 0); plotx.DrawLine(channelPen[0], j - 1, (((past.accdata.X - 0x7FFF) / 256) + 64), j, (((current.accdata.X - 0x7FFF) / 256) + 64)); //ploty.DrawLine(channelPen[5], j, 140, j, 0); ploty.DrawLine(channelPen[1], j - 1, (((past.accdata.Y - 0x7FFF) / 256) + 64), j, (((current.accdata.Y - 0x7FFF) / 256) + 64)); //plotz.DrawLine(markerPen, j, 140, j, 0); plotz.DrawLine(channelPen[2], j - 1, (((past.accdata.Z - 0x7FFF) / 256) + 94), j, (((current.accdata.Z - 0x7FFF) / 256) + 94)); } Is there any tricks to avoid these overheads? If not would there be any other/better solutions?

  • Emulating Test::More::done_testing - what is the most idiomatic way?

    - by DVK
    I have to build unit tests for in environment with a very old version of Test::More (perl5.8 with $Test::More::VERSION being '0.80') which predates the addition of done_testing(). Upgrading to newer Test::More is out of the question for practical reasons. And I am trying to avoid using no_tests - it's generally a bad idea not catching when your unit test dies prematurely. What is the most idiomatic way of running a configurable amount of tests, assuming no no_tests or done_testing() is used? Details: My unit tests usually take the form of: use Test::More; my @test_set = ( [ "Test #1", $param1, $param2, ... ] ,[ "Test #1", $param1, $param2, ... ] # ,... ); foreach my $test (@test_set) { run_test($test); } sub run_test { # $expected_tests += count_tests($test); ok(test1($test)) || diag("Test1 failed"); # ... } The standard approach of use Test::More tests => 23; or BEGIN {plan tests => 23} does not work since both are obviously executed before @tests is known. My current approach involves making @tests global and defining it in the BEGIN {} block as follows: use Test::More; BEGIN { our @test_set = (); # Same set of tests as above my $expected_tests = 0; foreach my $test (@tests) { my $expected_tests += count_tests($test); } plan tests = $expected_tests; } our @test_set; # Must do!!! Since first "our" was in BEGIN's scope :( foreach my $test (@test_set) { run_test($test); } # Same sub run_test {} # Same I feel this can be done more idiomatically but not certain how to improve. Chief among the smells is the duplicate our @test_test declarations - in BEGIN{} and after it.

  • Am I encrypting my passwords correctly in ASP.NET

    - by Nick
    I have a security class: public class security { private static string createSalt(int size) { //Generate a random cryptographic number RNGCryptoServiceProvider rng = new RNGCryptoServiceProvider(); byte[] b = new byte[size]; rng.GetBytes(b); //Convert to Base64 return Convert.ToBase64String(b); } /// <summary> /// Generate a hashed password for comparison or create a new one /// </summary> /// <param name="pwd">Users password</param> /// <returns></returns> public static string createPasswordHash(string pwd) { string salt = "(removed)"; string saltAndPwd = string.Concat(pwd, salt); string hashedPwd = FormsAuthentication.HashPasswordForStoringInConfigFile( saltAndPwd, "sha1"); return hashedPwd; } } This works fine, but I am wondering if it is sufficient enough. Also, is this next block of code better? Overkill? static byte[] encrInitVector = new byte[] { 0x12, 0x34, 0x56, 0x78, 0x90, 0xAB, 0xCD, 0xEF }; static string encrKey = "(removed)"; public static string EncryptString(string s) { byte[] key; try { key = Encoding.UTF8.GetBytes(encrKey.Substring(0, 8)); DESCryptoServiceProvider des = new DESCryptoServiceProvider(); byte[] inputByteArray = Encoding.UTF8.GetBytes(s); MemoryStream ms = new MemoryStream(); CryptoStream cs = new CryptoStream(ms, des.CreateEncryptor(key, encrInitVector), CryptoStreamMode.Write); cs.Write(inputByteArray, 0, inputByteArray.Length); cs.FlushFinalBlock(); return Convert.ToBase64String(ms.ToArray()); } catch (Exception e) { throw e; }

  • Not able to insert data in the database from a form in php

    - by Prashant Baid
    I am not able to insert data into my data, i dont know what the problem is. Here is the code: mysql_select_db("mitestore", $con); */ if ((isset($_POST['product_name'])) && (strlen(trim($_POST['product_name'])) 0)) { $product_name = stripslashes(strip_tags($_POST['product_name'])); $sql="INSERT INTO sell (product_name) VALUE ('$_POST[product_name]')"; } else {$product_name = 'Please enter the product name.';} if ((isset($_POST[''])) && (strlen(trim($_POST['how_old'])) 0)) { $how_old = stripslashes(strip_tags($_POST['how_old'])); $sql="INSERT INTO sell (how_old) VALUE ('$_POST[how_old]')"; } else {$how_old = 'Please enter how old your product is';} if ((isset($_POST['which_block'])) && (strlen(trim($_POST['which_block'])) 0)) { $which_block = stripslashes(strip_tags($_POST['which_block'])); $sql="INSERT INTO sell (which_block) VALUE ('$_POST[which_block]')"; } else {$which_block = 'Please enter which block are you from';} if ((isset($_POST['room_no'])) && (strlen(trim($_POST['room_no'])) 0)) { $room_no = stripslashes(strip_tags($_POST['room_no'])); $sql="INSERT INTO sell (room_no) VALUE ('$_POST[room_no]')"; } else {$room_no = 'Please enter the room no:';} if (!mysql_query($sql,$con)) { die('Error: ' . mysql_error()); } echo "Success!"; mysql_close($con) ? Initially i had this code and it worked for me. mysql_select_db("database", $con); $sql="INSERT INTO sell ( product_name, how_old , selling_price, negotiable, which_block, room_no) VALUES ('$_POST[product_name]','$_POST[how_old]','$_POST[selling_price]','$_POST[negotiable]','$_POST[which_block]','$_POST[room_no]')"; if (!mysql_query($sql,$con)) { die('Error: ' . mysql_error()); } echo "Your product is added."; mysql_close($con) ? But i don't know how to validate each field individually.

  • template files evaluation in python

    - by saminny
    I am trying to use python for translating a set of templates to a set of configuration files based on values taken from a main configuration file. However, I am having certain issues. Consider the following example of a template file. file1.cfg.template %(CLIENT1)s %(HOST1)s %(PORT1)d C %(COMPID1)s %(CLIENT2)s %(HOST2)s %(PORT2)d C %(COMPID2)s This file contains an entry for each client. There are hundreds of config files like this and I don't want to have logic for each type of config file. Python should do the replacements and generate config files automatically given a set of global values read from a main xml config file. However, in the above example, if CLIENT2 does not exist, how do I delete that line? I expect Python would generate the config file using something like this: os.open("file1.cfg.template").read() % myhash where myhash is hash of configuration parameters from the main config file which may not contain CLIENT2 at all. In the case it does not contain CLIENT2, I want that line to disappear from the file. Is it possible to insert some 'IF' block in the file and have python evaluate it? Thanks for your help. Any suggestions most welcome.

  • How to parse time stamps with Unicode characters in Java or Perl?

    - by ram
    I'm trying to make my code as generic as possible. I'm trying to parse install time of a product installation. I will have two files in the product, one that has time stamp I need to parse and other file tells the language of the installation. This is how I'm parsing the timestamp public class ts { public static void main (String[] args){ String installTime = "2009/11/26 \u4e0b\u5348 04:40:54"; //This timestamp I got from the first file. Those unicode charecters are some Chinese charecters...AM/PM I guess //Locale = new Locale();//don't set the language yet SimpleDateFormat df = (SimpleDateFormat)DateFormat.getDateTimeInstance(DateFormat.DEFAULT,DateFormat.DEFAULT); Date instTime = null; try { instTime = df.parse(installTime); } catch (ParseException e) { // TODO Auto-generated catch block e.printStackTrace(); } System.out.println(instTime.toString()); } } The output I get is Parsing Failed java.text.ParseException: Unparseable date: "2009/11/26 \u4e0b\u5348 04:40:54" at java.text.DateFormat.parse(Unknown Source) at ts.main(ts.java:39) Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NullPointerException at ts.main(ts.java:45) It throws exception and at the end when I print it, it shows some proper date... wrong though. I would really appreciate if you could clarify me on these doubts How to parse timestamps that have unicode characters if this is not the proper way? If parsing is failed, how could instTime able to hold some date, wrong though? I know its some chinese,Korean time stamps so I set the locale to zh and ko as follows.. even then same error comes again Locale = new Locale("ko"); Locale = new Locale("ja"); Locale = new Locale("zh"); How can I do the same thing in Perl? I can't use Date::Manip package; Is there any other way?

  • odd behavior with C# ftp client class

    - by geoff
    I found an ftp client class in c# over a year ago and have been using it in a process that uploads files on a nightly basis. A few days ago we started having a problem where it would time out. I'm not well versed in this so I'm not sure why it's doing this. When the program starts uploading a file it checks to see if it's logged in and if not, it calls the login method. In that method is this block of code. if (this.resultCode != 230) { this.sendCommand("PASS " + password); if (!(this.resultCode == 230 || this.resultCode == 202)) { this.cleanup(); throw new FtpException(this.result.Substring(4)); } } On the line that says this.sendCommand("PASS"... it goes into this code. private void sendCommand(String command) { if (this.verboseDebugging) Debug.WriteLine(command, "FtpClient"); Byte[] cmdBytes = Encoding.ASCII.GetBytes((command + "\r\n").ToCharArray()); clientSocket.Send(cmdBytes, cmdBytes.Length, 0); this.readResponse(); } If I let the program run, it times out. However if I step through it into the sendCommand method it executes fine. Does anyone know why it would work fine when I step through it? Nothing on our end has changed and I've been told nothing on the client's end has changed so I'm stumped. Thanks.

  • TransactionRequiredException on OptimisticLockException

    - by João Madureira Pires
    Hi there. I have the following class that generates sequencial Card Numbers. I'm trying to recover from OptimisticLockException, by calling recursively the same method. however, i'm getting TransactionRequiredException. Dows anyone knows how to recover from OptimisticLockException in my case? Thanks a lot in advance @Name("simpleAutoIncrementGenerator") public class SimpleAutoIncrementGenerator extends CardNumberGenerator{ private static final long serialVersionUID = 2869548248468809665L; private int numberOfRetries = 0; @Override public String generateNextNumber(CardInstance cardInstance, EntityManager entityManager) { try{ EntityCard card = (EntityCard)entityManager.find(EntityCard.class, cardInstance.getId()); if(card != null){ String nextNumber = ""; String currentNumber = card.getCurrentCardNumber(); if(currentNumber != null && !currentNumber.isEmpty()){ Long numberToInc = Long.parseLong(currentNumber); numberToInc ++; nextNumber = String.valueOf(numberToInc); card.setCurrentCardNumber(nextNumber); // this is just to cause a OptimisticLock Exception try { Thread.sleep(4000); } catch (InterruptedException e) { // TODO Auto-generated catch block e.printStackTrace(); } entityManager.persist(card); entityManager.flush(); return nextNumber; } } }catch (OptimisticLockException oLE) { System.out.println("\n\n\n\n OptimisticLockException \n\n\n\n"); if(numberOfRetries < CentralizedConfig.CARD_NUMBER_GENERATOR_MAX_TRIES){ numberOfRetries ++; return generateNextNumber(cardInstance,entityManager); } }catch (TransactionRequiredException trE) { System.out.println("\n\n\n\n TransactionRequiredException \n\n\n\n"); if(numberOfRetries < CentralizedConfig.CARD_NUMBER_GENERATOR_MAX_TRIES){ numberOfRetries ++; return generateNextNumber(cardInstance,entityManager); } }catch (StaleObjectStateException e) { System.out.println("\n\n\n\n StaleObjectStateException \n\n\n\n"); if(numberOfRetries < CentralizedConfig.CARD_NUMBER_GENERATOR_MAX_TRIES){ numberOfRetries ++; return generateNextNumber(cardInstance,entityManager); } } return null; } }

  • How to programmatically create a node in Drupal 8?

    - by chapka
    I'm designing a new module in Drupal 8. It's a long-term project that won't be going public for a few months at least, so I'm using it as a way to figure out what's new. In this module, I want to be able to programmatically create nodes. In Drupal 7, I would do this by creating the object, then calling "node_submit" and "node_save". These functions no longer exist in Drupal 8. Instead, according to the documentation, "Modules and scripts may programmatically submit nodes using the usual form API pattern." I'm at a loss. What does this mean? I've used Form API to create forms in Drupal 7, but I don't get what the docs are saying here. What I'm looking to do is programmatically create at least one and possibly multiple new nodes, based on information not taken directly from a user-presented form. I need to be able to: 1) Specify the content type 2) Specify the URL path 3) Set any other necessary variables that would previously have been handled by the now-obsolete node_object_prepare() 4) Commit the new node object I would prefer to be able to do this in an independent, highly abstracted function not tied to a specific block or form. So what am I missing?

  • Center big image in smaller div

    - by larin555
    I'm trying to align images in the center of a slider div. I'm adjusting FlexSlider css by the way. Here's my CSS code : .flexslider {margin: 0; padding: 0; width: 600px; height:480px; overflow:hidden;margin-left:auto;margin-right:auto;} .flexslider .slides > li {display: none; -webkit-backface-visibility: hidden;} /* Hide the slides before the JS is loaded. Avoids image jumping */ .flexslider .slides img {width:auto;height:100%; display: inline-block; text-align:center;} Everything is working like I want, except that I want wider image to be centered in the div. Right now it is left-aligned. I cannot use background-image by the way. Any ideas? I also tried applying to the .flexslider .slides img : margin-left:-50%...not working margin-left:auto and margin-right:auto...not working left:50% and right:50%...not working either

  • How do I create an exception-wrapping fubumvc behaviour?

    - by Jon M
    How can I create a fubumvc behaviour that wraps actions with a particular return type, and if an exception occurs while executing the action, then the behaviour logs the exception and populates some fields on the return object? I have tried the following: public class JsonExceptionHandlingBehaviour : IActionBehavior { private static readonly Logger logger = LogManager.GetCurrentClassLogger(); private readonly IActionBehavior _innerBehavior; private readonly IFubuRequest _request; public JsonExceptionHandlingBehaviour(IActionBehavior innerBehavior, IFubuRequest request) { _innerBehavior = innerBehavior; _request = request; } public void Invoke() { try { _innerBehavior.Invoke(); var response = _request.Get<AjaxResponse>(); response.Success = true; } catch(Exception ex) { logger.ErrorException("Error processing JSON request", ex); var response = _request.Get<AjaxResponse>(); response.Success = false; response.Exception = ex.ToString(); } } public void InvokePartial() { _innerBehavior.InvokePartial(); } } But, although I get the AjaxResponse object from the request, any changes I make don't get sent back to the client. Also, any exceptions thrown by the action don't make it as far as this, the request is terminated before execution gets to the catch block. What am I doing wrong? For completeness, the behaviour is wired up with the following in my WebRegistry: Policies .EnrichCallsWith<JsonExceptionHandlingBehaviour>(action => typeof(AjaxResponse).IsAssignableFrom(action.Method.ReturnType)); And AjaxResponse looks like: public class AjaxResponse { public bool Success { get; set; } public object Data { get; set; } public string Exception { get; set; } }

  • [solved] IE6 PNG-transparency CSS hack not working

    - by John
    I looked around and decided to use a CSS approach rather than rely on JS... I figure the kind of corporate users stuck with IE6 might also have JS disabled by IT departments. So In my HTML I have: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en" lang="en"> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html;charset=utf-8" /> <title>My Page</title> <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="default.css" /> <!--[if IE 6]><link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="ie6.css"><![endif]--> </head> <body> <img src="media/logo.png"/> </body> Then my ie6.css consists simply of: img { filter: progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.AlphaImageLoader(...); } However none of this makes the slightest difference, no transparency. I commented out all the rest of the page so it is literally that one and still no luck. I removed the default.css stylesheet and still no difference. EDIT: I now got it working, using the .htc method, loading that file in a conditional IE6 test block. It turned out the problem I was having was that Windows 7 had 'locked' the file (I don't even know what this means) and this blocked IE from loading/using it.

  • Incrementing value by one over a lot of rows

    - by Andy Gee
    Edit: I think the answer to my question lies in the ability to set user defined variables in MySQL through PHP - the answer by Multifarious has pointed me in this direction Currently I have a script to cycle over 10M records, it's very slow and it goes like this: I first get a block of 1000 results in an array similar to this: $matches[] = array('quality_rank'=>46732, 'db_id'=>5532); $matches[] = array('quality_rank'=>12324, 'db_id'=>1234); $matches[] = array('quality_rank'=>45235, 'db_id'=>8345); $matches[] = array('quality_rank'=>75543, 'db_id'=>2562); I then cycle through them one by one and update the record $mult = count($matches)*2; foreach($matches as $m) { $rank++; $score = (($m[quality_rank] + $rank)/($mult))*100; $s = "UPDATE `packages_sorted` SET `price_rank` = '".$rank."', `deal_score` = '".$score."' WHERE `db_id` = '".$m[db_id]."' LIMIT 1"; } It seems like this is a very slow way of doing it but I can't find another way to increment the field price_rank by one each time. Can anyone suggest a better method. Note: Although I wouldn't usually store this kind of value in a database I really do need on this occasion for comparison search queries later on in the project. Any help would be kindly appreciated :)

  • Issue with GCD and too many threads

    - by dariaa
    I have an image loader class which provided with NSURL loads and image from the web and executes completion block. Code is actually quite simple - (void)downloadImageWithURL:(NSString *)URLString completion:(BELoadImageCompletionBlock)completion { dispatch_async(_queue, ^{ // dispatch_async(dispatch_get_global_queue(DISPATCH_QUEUE_PRIORITY_HIGH, 0), ^{ UIImage *image = nil; NSURL *URL = [NSURL URLWithString:URLString]; if (URL) { image = [UIImage imageWithData:[NSData dataWithContentsOfURL:URL]]; } dispatch_async(dispatch_get_main_queue(), ^{ completion(image, URLString); }); }); } When I replace dispatch_async(_queue, ^{ with commented out dispatch_async(dispatch_get_global_queue(DISPATCH_QUEUE_PRIORITY_HIGH, 0), ^{ Images are loading much faster, wich is quite logical (before that images would be loaded one at a time, now a bunch of them are loading simultaneously). My issue is that I have perhaps 50 images and I call downloadImageWithURL:completion: method for all of them and when I use global queue instead of _queue my app eventually crashes and I see there are 85+ threads. Can the problem be that my calling dispatch_get_global_queue(DISPATCH_QUEUE_PRIORITY_HIGH, 0) 50 times in a row makes GCD create too many threads? I thought that gcd handles all the treading and makes sure the number of threads is not huge, but if it's not the case is there any way I can influence number of threads?

When the WinPrincipal.IsInRole(rule.IdentityReference.Value) is executed the following exception occurs: "The trust relationship between the primary domain and the trusted domain failed.". I'm very new to using identities, principles and such so I don't know what's the problem. I'm assuming it's with the use of NTAccount? Thanks

  • CSS Drop Down Menu

    - by cvandal
    I'm trying to make a simple CSS drop down menu that when you mouse over a link, the sub menu appears. I've managed to achieve this when you mouse over an li but can't figure out how to do it using a link. The reason why I'm trying to do this using a link rather than the li is that my menu width is 100% and the li spans a greater area than the link so if you mouse over that area, the sub menu appears when you don't want it to. My CSS is as follows: .menu { border: solid 1px red; font-size: 5em; font-family: 'Raleway', arial, serif; } .menu ul { } .menu ul.children { display: none; } .menu ul li { margin: 20px 0 10px 0; } .menu ul li:hover ul.children { display: block; position: absolute; } .menu ul li a { padding: 10px 10px 0 40px; background: rgba(0,0,0,0.5); color: #fff; text-decoration: none; }

  • BackOffice Database Application FrontEnd - Program in C#/VB.Net or PHP?

    - by HK1
    I'm working on a project where there will be a MySQL database containing data that will mostly be displayed on the web using PHP. However, there is a need here for a back-office data entry application (linked to the same MySQL database) that is feature rich and easy to use. what I'm trying to understand is where we are at with web-based frontends. I find that there are still so many events and features that I can make use of in a Windows Desktop GUI written in something like C#, VB.Net or MS Access. I don't have a lot of experience programming UI for web but it's my impression that it's still more difficult and takes longer to get similar or the same functionality using non-MS web technologies (I dislike ASP.net, sorry) as compared to programming the desktop portion in a traditional desktop application language like C#, VB.Net, or MS Access. jQuery and jQuery UI are definately making things easier. Also, there's very rich online applications like Google Docs and Zoho but it's my impression that these are programmed by some of the top web UI programmers around, not to mention that it takes longer to write it and intensive testing to make it work in all of your target browsers. It also takes extra time and code to "block" browsers that don't meet the requirements. What programming language would you recommend? I know I may not have given enough information here but I'm not sure what I'm missing. If you have questions just leave a comment below so I can edit this post and answer the questions.

  • Weird margin in a list

    - by kevin
    I'm trying to style a menu, but I keep running into this weird margin that's appearing in both FF4 and IE. This is the only affecting css: #header ul { display: inline; } #header ul li { list-style-type: none; background: #000; display: inline; margin: 0; padding: 0; } #header ul li a { color: #fff; text-decoration: none; display: inline-block; width: 100px; text-align: center; } And this is the HTML: <div id="header"> <ul id="toplinks"> <li><a href="#">Hello</a></li> <li><a href="#">Herp</a></li> <li><a href="#">Derp</a></li> </ul> </div> As you can see, there's a margin appearing on both sides, and I'd like it so it would have no margin (or maybe 1px would be okay)...

  • AFNetworking iOS

    - by Jeromiin
    I have a problem with a request in my app, I want to receive a json but because of the completion block my "PRINT 2" is print before my "PRINT 1" and of course my "PRINT 2" is null. I want the contrary and my "PRINT 2" to be filled but I can't manage to do it. -(void) makeConnection { NSURL *url = [NSURL URLWithString:[@"http://monsite.com/iPhonej/verifPseudo.php?login="stringByAppendingString:[_loginField.text stringByAppendingString:[@"&password=" stringByAppendingString:_passField.text]]]]; NSURLRequest *request = [NSURLRequest requestWithURL:url]; AFHTTPRequestOperation *operation = [[AFHTTPRequestOperation alloc] initWithRequest:request]; operation.responseSerializer = [AFJSONResponseSerializer serializer]; [operation setCompletionBlockWithSuccess:^(AFHTTPRequestOperation *operation, id responseObject) { self.response = (NSDictionary *)responseObject; NSLog(@"PRINT 1 : %@", self.response[@"la"][@"reponse"][0][@"rep"]); [_dataLock lock]; } failure:^(AFHTTPRequestOperation *operation, NSError *error) { NSLog(@"Request Failed: %@, %@", error, error.userInfo); }]; [operation start]; } - (IBAction)logIn:(id)sender { [self makeConnection]; NSLog(@"PRINT 2 : %@", self.response[@"la"][@"reponse"][0][@"rep"]); } I know that AFNetworking is asynchronous but is there an other way to do the request and receive my json well ? Thank you

  • How do I make an iframe 100% height of a containing div in Firefox?

    - by David
    I'm having some trouble figuring out how to extend an iframe to 100% of it's container element in Firefox and IE (it works fine in Chrome). From searching around, it makes sense that there has to be a width specified on the containing div (and possibly body and html as well). However, I have done that, and the iframe is still not extending. Do all of the parent divs have to have a specified width and position for this to work, or just the containing parent? Any fix for this would be greatly appreciated! Here's what I have: <!DOCTYPE html> <html> <head> <style> html, body {margin:0; padding:0; height:100%} #container {width: 1000px; min-height: 550px; position: relative} #smallContainer {position:relative} /*no width specified*/ #iframeContainer {height: 100%; position: relative} #iframe {height: 100%; width: 100%; display: block} </style> </head> <body> <div id="container"> <div id="smallContainer"> <div id="iframeContainer"> <iframe id="iframe" src="foo.com"></iframe> </div> </div> </div> </body> </html>

  • set/clear interval issue

    - by 3gwebtrain
    HI, i am using the following code to show a link which is inside the li element. the constrain is, once the mouse enter into li element, and if it's stay inside 3sec, then it need to show. once i leave from li element, immateriality it should hide. for this, i am using : var showTimeOut; var thisElement $('.user-list li').live('mouseover',function(){ thisElement = $(this).children('a.copier-link'); showTimeOut = setInterval(function(){ thisElement.css({'display':'block'}); },3000); }) $('.user-list li').live('mouseleave',function(){ clearInterval(showTimeOut); thisElement.hide(); }) It's work fine. But the problem is, while i cross the li element with just a second, even the interval is calling, and showing the link. but i need to show only, if i stay inside 3sec and it need to hide there after, again i stay back 3sec. anything wrong with my code?, else any one give me the best suggestion? Thanks.

  • Timeout Exceptions

    - by Raihan Jamal
    This is my below code, I am confuse why this thing is happening. In this code getLocationByIpTimeout is a method in which I am passing two things- one is the ip address and second is the timeout. So I will get the timeout exception if the response is not getting back in under 5 ms. So when I ran this below code, I am getting few timeout exceptions but the most important thing that I am confuse is if I am getting timeout exceptions (time taken to get the response is greater than 5 ms) then why the program is entering in that if loop in which I am having difference 5. What can be the possible reason for this? It is because of catch block?? Any suggestions will be appreciated. long runs =10000; long difference = 0; while(runs > 0) { String ipAddress = generateIPAddress(); long start_time = System.nanoTime(); try { resp = PersonalizationGeoLocationServiceClientHelper.getLocationByIpTimeout(ipAddress, 5); } catch (TimeoutException e) { System.out.println("Timeout Exception"); } long end_time = System.nanoTime(); if(resp == null || (resp.getLocation() == null)) { difference = 0; } else if(resp.getLocation() != null) { difference = (end_time - start_time)/1000000; } if(difference> 5) { System.out.println("Debug"); } }
