• Coding an application so that it runs properly on windows 7...?

  I have a flash drive which has an application whose code is written VC++ 2008 , the application works fine in xp , but the problem arises when i plug in the drive to a windows 7 machine , it doesn't run properly. is there any way that i can make it compatible to windows by writing a code. i dont want to set the compatibility tab in windows 7 to run the program.. i want to code it in the program , more like a patch.

  I am trying to register a COM DLL using Inno Setup in a setup package I created. During test installations on Vista, I get this error: Unable to register the DLL/OCX: RegSvr32 failed with exit code 0xC0000005 I click "Ignore" and my application appears to install, but I have to then open a command prompt (as an administrator) and then regsvr32 to install the COM DLL. Is there any way to do this automatically in Inno Setup?

• Including MSVRC100.dll in C++ exe

  I created a simple C executable in Visual C++ 2010, but when others tried it they got a missing MSVCR100.dll error. Apparently, the user needs to install the Visual C++ Redistributable Package in order to run the exe. Is there any way I can instead include MSVCR100.dll inside the exe (so it's just one file, not sitting in the same folder) so people can just run the executable and have it work?   Assuming that I cannot run something like this with Fabric: run("svn update --password 'password' .") how's the proper way to pass to Fabric the password for the remote interactive command line? I am not sure, but the svn server we're using might have some restrictions to not allow --non-interactive passwords and I couldn't find a way to automatically update a remote repo.

  Hello everyone I'm trying to use APIKit to scan my codes to detect if there is private API. apiscanner should run as ./apiscanner ~/Desktop/MyPath/myapp.app I used command 'cd' go to the directory where apiscanner is. But if I call ./apiscanner ~/Desktop/MyPath/MyApp.app on terminal it reports Last login: Sun Jun 13 07:22:07 on ttys002 unknown required load command 0x80000022 Trace/BPT trap logout Even if I copy the files apiscanner and doit to MyPath, then execute, I get the same problem.   I'm trying to install UML linux. Kernel is 2.6.28. I link to Linux files so that I have a read-only copy that I can revert back to. I then run the commands: make defconfig ARCH=um # works make ARCH=um # errors out at the very end: final close failed: Input/output error make: *** [vmlinux.o] Error 1 Because of this error, my binary vmlinux never gets created so I can't run my own UML Linux. Any ideas?

• SQLCMD Syntax error when running script that runs fine in management studio

  When I run the this select '$(''test'')' in SQL Management Studio 2008 it returns $('test') When I run sqlcmd -S SERVER -E -d DATABASE -q "select "$(''test'')" on the command line it returns Sqlcmd: Error: Syntax error at line 1 near command '''. If I remove the dollar sign it works. Is the "$" a special character? Is this a sqlcmd bug? How can I change the script to get the desired result.

  Hi, I'm running a CLI PHP script. I'm requesting data from a server that only lets me in if my domain is www.mydomain.com. It runs fine when I run through Apache, but when I run through CLI I presume my domain has now changed to the server IP, i.e. 84.123.123.123 The external server obviously rejects me now. How can I request as if I'm www.mydomain.com using the CLI?

Exchange administrators can enforce password policy across devices But while I'm using N1 with 2.2 and try to connect to my company exchange server it didn't enforce me to set a password, although connecting to the same server from Windows Mobile 6 device enforce this.   I have an ordinary project with JUnit tests that are connected to the classes in my Android Project. I want my server to run some JUnit tests in my testproject everytime I commit my code from my Android Project. Is there a best practise to do this? So far I only managed to run the tests when they are a part of a while the JUnit tests and Android classes are separated into 2 different projects, since JUnit runs on JVM and Android in an emulator on DVM (Dalvik Virtual Machine).
