  • Unable to disable generation of sources JAR with maven-release-plugin

    I am trying to release a web project using Maven 2.2.1 and the maven-release-plugin 2.0-beta-9, but it always fails when doing release:perform on generating the sources jar for the EAR project, which makes sense since the EAR project doesn't have any source. To try to disable the building of a sources JAR for the EAR project, I added the following to the POM for my EAR project (the version of the release plugin is set in a parent POM): <build> <plugins> ... <plugin> <groupId>org.apache.maven.plugins</groupId> <artifactId>maven-release-plugin</artifactId> <configuration> <useReleaseProfile>false</useReleaseProfile> </configuration> </plugin> </plugins> </build> Upon running the release again after checking in this change, I got the same error while generating the sources JAR for the EAR project, even though this should have been disabled by the previous POM snippet. What am I doing wrong? Why is the sources JAR still being built? Edit: I've tried to make the source plugin include my application.xml file so that this error doesn't occur by adding the following POM snippet: <build> <plugins> ... <plugin> <groupId>org.apache.maven.plugins</groupId> <artifactId>maven-source-plugin</artifactId> <configuration> <includes> <include>${basedir}/META-INF/**/*</include> </includes> <useDefaultExcludes>false</useDefaultExcludes> </configuration> </plugin> </plugins> </build> Unfortunately, this does not fix the problem either.

  • access virtual host(name based) in android

    hii i have set up virtual host in apache and and added relevent information in windows host file. it works fine for desktop browsers but i am not able to access this from android simulator's browser. as a example a i created a virtual host "testweb" i added this information in widows hosts file also so in desktop browser it works fine with the url http://testweb/ but in android simulator browser it displays error tht page has been moved .... so plz give me solution what i shud do to work it and where i am getting wrong...plz help me

  • spring 3 uploadify giving 404 Error

    I am using Spring 3 and implementing Uploadify. The problem is, the files are updating properly but it is giving HTTP Error 404, on completion of file upload. I tried every possible solution, but none of them works. The files are uploaded. Values are storing in DB properly, only that i am getting HTTP Error 404.   • Who owns a php exec tar extracted file?

    As far as file permissions are concerned, when you use a php script to unzip a tar file, who is the "owner" user of the files created? I'm wondering if its my ftp user because I uploaded the script file? Or does apache own the file? I know their are flags to be set to preserve the original permissions which I don't want (files where created and archived by someone else). I want my user to be the creater/owner of the files.

  • #1130 - Host ‘localhost’ is not allowed to connect to this MySQL server

    I accidently changed the "host" value for the root user inside of the user table for mysql. I need to change it back to localhost because I changed it to arancillary2125 (my other machines DNS name) but I cannot access mysql (from PHPMYADMIN or command prompt) due to "localhost" not having permissions anymore.   • JBOSS 7 encoding not working as expected

    I had problems with my listgrids not showing diacritcs corectly and I found out that when I inserted from java into the db the values where already bugged. A post here helped and I changed my project properties - Text encoding - other - UTF-8 and this fixed my problem. Thing is this only fixes my problem locally. What I need to do is on my Jboss server also set the encoding somehow. Don't forget that: in every cycle the run method not just log into the file, it has to concatenate strings (name + ": " + i), and check an if test (i == 9999). When threadsNumber is 10, there are 100.000 loggings and if tests and concatenations. When it is 100, there are 1.000.000 loggings and if tests and concatenations. (I've read somewhere JVM uses StringBuilder's append for concatenation, not simple concatenation). Did I missed something? Am I doing something wrong? Did I forget any factor that could decrease the performance? If these figures are correct I think, I don't have to worry about log4j's performance even if I heavily log, do I?

  • Heroku powered private restricted beta

    I'd like to run an app in a restricted private beta on heroku. We're changing the app regularly and haven't done a security audit. To stop anyone exploiting stuff, we'd like to lock down the whole site, so you need a password to access anything. Ideally similar to using .htaccess and .htpasswd files to lock an entire site on an Apache server. Is there a simple one shot way to do this for a heroku hosted app?
