Best way to pass image to server?

I have an SL3 application that needs to be able to pass an image to the server, and then the server will generate a PDF file with the image in it, and display it to the user. What I already have in place are the following: (1) Code to convert image to byte array (2) Code to generate PDF file with image The main problem that I am running into is the following: In order to bypass the pop-up blocker, which is a requirement for my application, I am using the following code: var button = new NavigationButton(); button.NavigateUri = new Uri("http://localhost:3616/PrintReport.aspx?ReportIndex=11&ActionType=Get&ReportIdentifier=" + reportIdentifier.ToString() + ""); button.TargetName = "_blank"; button.PerformClick(); Initially, I would pass the image to a WCF web service (as a byte array), and then "navigate" to the ASP.NET page that would display the report. However, if I do this, then I can not use my custom HyperlinkButton class, and, certain browsers, including Safari, will block a new window from opening up. Therefore, it appears that the only option is to use the HyperlinkButton class. What I need to be able to do is to somehow pass the image, as a byte array or some other data type, to the server, such that it can temporarily store the image, even if it is in a server variable, and then immediately retrieve it when I navigate to the PrintReport.aspx page. If I upload the image to an ASP.NET form and then use the HyperlinkButton class to navigate to the PrintReport page, it doesn't work, as the app navigates to the PrintReport page before the system has finished uploading the image. I can't pass it to a web service, as that would require that I navigate to the PrintReport.aspx page in the callback code of the web method that I would be passing the image to, and the HyperlinkButton will not allow that, based on security rules. How to create a semi transparent window in WPF that allows mouse events to pass through

I am trying to create an effect similar to the Lights out /lights dim feature in Adobe Lightroom (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=87hNd3vaENE) except in WPF. What I tried was to create another window over-top of my existing window, make it transparent and put a semi transparent Path geometry on it. But I want mouse events to be able to pass through this semi transparent window (on to windows below). So far so good. The IsHitTestvisible is set to false on the path object. So mouse events will pass through it to other controls on the same form (ie you can click on the Button, because it is on the same form). But mouse events wont pass through the Path object onto windows that are below it. Any ideas? Or better ways to solve this problem? Thanks.

TweenLite.to(mcDelimiter, resizeTween, { x:(stageWidthHalf-(initStageWidthHalf-mcDelimiteri_X)), ease:Elastic.easeOut } ); TweenLite.to(mcBody, resizeTween, { x:(stageWidthHalf-(initStageWidthHalf-mcBody_X)), ease:Elastic.easeOut } ); ... now if I at some point want to change "Elastic.easeOut" to something else I would have to change it at multiple parts of the code.. Can it be done so I just pass it as a variable and then if I want to change it, do it only on one place? Repeated disconnects on WPA PEAP network

I am able to connect to the network, but once I load a website or two, the network become unresponsive (i.e. in Chromium, it gets stuck at "Sending request"), and I'm eventually disconnected. Fast way to pass a simple java object from one thread to another

I have a callback which receives an object. I make a copy of this object, and I must pass it on to another thread for further processing. It's very important for the callback to return as fast as possible. Ideally, the callback will write the copy to some sort of lock-free container. I only have the callback called from a single thread and one processing thread. I only need to pass a bunch of doubles to the other thread, and I know the maximum number of doubles (around 40). Any ideas? I'm not very familiar with Java, so I don't know the usual ways to pass stuff between threads.

I can also see in the debugger that I'm getting my DataManager singleton. Apache is reponding a blank white page

I have the following situation: A site hosted in apache 2.4, with ssl, that works like a charm for a while now, but out of no where, without modifications to the site, apache started serving random blank pages. The workaround this is to delete the cookies of the browser or restart the browser. I've switched the vitualhost to log in debug mode but it didn't got me anywhere. Sonicwall routing between multiple subnets on multiple interfaces

As shown by the network diagram below, I have two completely separate networks. One is being managed by a Sonicwall NSA 220, the other by some other router (the brand is not important). My goal is to allow devices within the 192.168.2.0/24 network to access devices in the 192.168.3.0/24 network. Allowing the reverse (192.168.3.0/24 - 192.168.2.0/24) is not required. So far, I have done the following: I connected the X3 Interface on the Sonicwall to the 192.168.3.0/24 network switch (shown as the dashed red line in the diagram). Next, I gave it a static ip address of 192.168.3.254 and set the Zone to LAN (the same Zone for the X0 interface). Judging by various articles and KBs I've read, this is all that should be necessary, although it does not work. I can ping 192.168.3.254 from any device in the 192.168.2.0/24 network although I cannot ping/connect to any device within the 192.168.3.0/24 network. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Woke up today to see my site slow/unresponsive. Pulled up top and it looks like a ton of saslauthd processes have spun up using about 64m of RAM each, causing the machine to enter swap space. Home network with two isolated separate subnets, running on cablemodem/router and WRT-router.

I have a new connection with a nice new router/cable-modem. I'd like to setup it up optimally and needs some pointers. I am a complete n00b when it comes to routing. I want to end up with two separate subnets, 10.1.2.0/24 and 192.168.1.0/24 each available on their own wireless channel/SSID. Both firewalled. I want my wired computers on the gigabit switch, optimally with public ips. I want to be able to reach 192.168.1.0/24 from 10.1.2.0/24, but not vice versa. Everyone should have internet access. Hardware and capabilities: Netgear CG3100. Handles cable connection. Gigabit switch. 802.11n. Can do DHCP, firewall, NAT etc. Can choose subnet. Can turn of NAT and if so hand out up to 4 public ips. Somewhat challenged when it comes to configuration. WRT-router. Runs DD/Open-WRT very stable. 100 Mbit switch. 802.11.g Can do DHCP, firewall, NAT etc. Can choose subnet. Highly configurable. I hope to be able to keep 10.1.2.0/24 on the CG3100, for speed reasons and 192.168.0.0/24 on the WRT-router for quota and user control reasons. On my 10.1.2.0/24 network I plan on running servers for various services. Should I turn of NAT on the WRT-router? Or on the cable modem? Activate what in that case? Is double NAT always f-ed up?

Network topology for both direct and routed traffic between two nodes

Despite it's small size, this is the most difficult network design problem I've faced. There are three nodes in this network: PC running Windows XP with an internal WiFi adapter.Base station with both WiFi and a Wireless Modem (WiModem)Mobile device with both WiFi and WiModem The modem is a low-bandwidth but high-reliability connection. We'd like to use WiFi for high-bandwidth stuff like file transfers when the mobile is nearby, and the modem for control information. Here's the tricky part: we'd like the wifi traffic to go directly from the mobile to the PC, as rebroadcasting packets on the same WiFi channel takes up double the bandwidth. We can do that with a manual configuration by giving the both the PC and the base station two IP addresses for their WiFi interfaces: one on a subnet shared with the mobile, and one on their own subnet. The routes on the PC are set up so that any traffic going to the mobile via WiModem goes through the secondary IP address so that return traffic from the mobile also goes through the WiModem. Here's what that looks like: PC WiFi 1: 192.168.2.10/24 WiFi 2: 192.168.3.10/24 Default route: 192.168.2.1 Base Station WiFi 1: 192.168.2.1/24 WiFi 2: 192.168.3.1/24 WiModem: 192.168.4.1/24 Mobile WiFi: 192.168.3.20/24 WiModem: 192.168.4.20/24 We'd like to move to having the base station automatically configure the mobile and PC, as the manual setup is problematic when you start having multiple mobiles and PCs. This means that the PC can only have 1 IP address and needs to be treated as being pretty simple. Is it possible to have a setup driven by DHCP on the base station that is efficient with bandwidth?

Laptop + External Monitor: Possible to Scale Mouse-crossover Position?

I have a laptop with a 16" screen @ 1366x768 resolution, and a 24" external monitor at 1920x1200 resolution. I'm extending the Windows 7 desktop onto the other screen. The 24" is the secondary monitor, and is positioned so the bottom of that screen lines up with the bottom of the 16" screen. Currently, if I move the mouse to the top portion of the 24" screen, then move left, the mouse will stop at the edge of the 24" screen until I move it down far enough to get into the range of the 16" screen. So that's all pretty standard; but I'm wondering if there's any software out there that will allow me to "scale" the mouse-crossover position, such that if I'm at the TOP of the 24" screen and move left, the mouse will cross to the TOP of the 16" screen, whereas if I'm at the BOTTOM of the 24" screen, crossing over will position the mouse at the BOTTOM of the 16" screen. So then, if the mouse cursor is on the 24" screen at (x,y) position (10,600), and I move 20 pixels left, the mouse is now on the 16" screen at position (1356,384). Anyone know of such a solution?? Note: I also use Ubuntu, so if there's a solution to this for X, but not Windows, I'd be interested in that also.

I have a wrapper script that does some work and then passes the original parameters on to another tool: #!/bin/bash # ... other_tool -a -b "$@" This works fine, unless the "other tool" is run in a subshell: #!/bin/bash # ... bash -c "other_tool -a -b $@" If I call my wrapper script like this: wrapper.sh -x "blah blup" then, only the first orginal argument (-x) is handed to "other_tool". In reality, I do not create a subshell, but pass the original arguments to a shell on an Android phone, which shouldn't make any difference: #!/bin/bash # ... adb sh -c "other_tool -a -b $@"
