  • Intercept close Popup from Parent Page

    Hi all, I have a question. In an html page, I have javascript code that allows me to open and close a popup window by clicking on a link displayed in the link, so the text displayed in the link changes to the state of the popup window (open-closed). With a variable true / false I manage the opening and closing of the popup window to click on a link whose text is aligned "opened popup" / "closed popup". The next step is to make this same change in state (true / false, "opened popup" / "close popup") directly by closing the popup window. The idea is to not have to refresh the page. Is this possible?     Here is what I got: <div id="list"> <ol> <li>Ordered list 1</li> <li>Ordered list 2</li> <ul><li>Unordered list inside ol ul</li></ul> <ol><li>Ordered list inside ol ol</li></ol> <ol> <ul> <li>Unordered list</li> <ol><li>Ordered list inside ul</li></ol> <ul> <ol> <li>Ordered list 1</li> <ol><li>Ordered list inside ol ol</li></ol> <ol> </div> I need somehow replace LI tags only inside div id="list" - OL tags I need so that it replaces only LI tags only within the first OL tags and not UL or the once inside OL - OL tags I tried using preg_replace_callback but it only replaces all LI tags inside id="list" and from what i figured it will be over my head to limit replacement only with first ol tags and not the rest, so I been suggested to try out PHP DOM since it should be as easy as div id="list" - OL I would appreciate if someone got me started with the code, maybe with something as replacing all LI tags with in the first OL tag within the whole content.

    I had a method on my main view controller named "calculateThis". This method was run, obviously, as int newValue = [self calculateThis:myVariable]; when I run it from inside the view controller. Then I created a static class and I need to run this method from there. How do I reference this method from that class using just relative references, as super, superview, delegate, etc. I cannot use the class name defined on the delegate because this static class is used in several apps of mine.

    I have created an application for a simple expandablelist. In the code i am displaying some textviews in the child . I am able to add a button in the child of the expandable list. But the problem I am facing is with the onclick event of the button.Since I am creating the button inside onChildClick(), the button appears, but its onclick event dosent take place. I also tried adding the button with its onclick event in the group as well, but I am facing similar problem there also. If anyone could help , it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, HM

    hi guys. so i have this form and on it is a combo box populated from a database via a SQL method. and i have another form which allows us to maintain the database table etc. so i make a new instance of the second form doing: Form1 frm = new Form2; frm.show(); once i have done what ever i wanted to do on the second form and i close it, i need to somehow trigger an event or something which will refresh the combo box and the code behind it. i was thinking of some onchange or focus event for the whole form, the problem is i have 5 of these combo boxes and running all the SQL again. i also thought of passing somesort of variable thro but then i would still need an event for that. any ideals would be awesome

  • Forward horizontal swipe events on UITableView to parent view

    I have a UITableView that I want to have respond to taps and vertical swipes, but still have something like userInteractionEnabled = NO for horizontal swipes. By that I mean, it would not handle touches and pass the touch event back to its superview. Things I've tried that didn't work: returning NO in - (BOOL)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView canEditRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath Overriding touchesBegan/touchesMoved/touchesEnded and passing the event to the next responder Adding gesture recognizers for horizontal swipes and setting cancelsTouchesInView to YES I've been trying to fix this on and off for several weeks, so any help is greatly appreciated!

Then, in the DayPicker controller, I do some stuff to the dayPicker.rowLabel property. Now, when the dayPicker is dismissed, I want the value in dayPicker.rowLabel to be used as the cell.textLabel.text property in the cell that called the controller in the first place (i.e., the cell label becomes the option that was selected within the DayPicker controller). I thought that by using the assignment operator to set dayPicker.rowLabel = self.activeDaysLabel, the two pointed to the same object in memory, and that upon dismissing the DayPicker, my first view controller, which uses self.activeDaysLabel as the cell.textLabel.text property for the cell in question, would automagically pick up the new value of the object. But no such luck. Have I missed something basic here, or am I going about this the wrong way? I originally passed a reference to the calling view controller to the child view controller, but several here told me that was likely to cause problems, being a circular reference. That setup worked, though; now I'm not sure how to accomplish the same thing "the right way." As usual, thanks in advance for your help.

  • Forwarding activity result to parent, with singleTop launch mode

    I have two activities: a MainListActivity, and a DetailViewActivity. DetailViewActivity is set with android:launchMode="singleTop". When clicking an item in the "main list" activity, it launches the "detail view" activity via: startActivityForResult(detailIntent, REQUEST_CODE_DETAIL); If I then call setResult(RESULT_OK, resultData); and finish(); from within the Detail activity, that resultData is received by the "main list" activity's onActivityResult(..) method correctly. However, if I implement a "see previous"/"see next" type of navigation within the Detail activity, and implement it using singleTop, that result no longer gets sent back to the initial activity: Intent nextItemIntent = this.createIntent(nextId); nextItemIntent.setFlags(Intent.FLAG_ACTIVITY_FORWARD_RESULT); startActivity(nextItemIntent); // at this point, my DetailActivity's onNewIntent() method is called, and the new data is loaded properly But from here, when I call setResult(..) and finish(), my MainList activity never receives the new/updated result. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

  • WPF binding comboboxes to parent- child model

    I've got a model with a few tiers in it - something along the lines of ... Company Employees Phone numbers So I've got a ListBox showing all the companys in the model. Each ListBoxItem then contains two comboboxes ... one for employees, one for phone numbers. I can successfully get the employee combo to bind correctly and show the right people, but I'd like the phone combo to show the numbers for the selected employee.     I have a list, which is going to be a menu. I want to position it absolutely at the very top of the page. My code looks like this: <div id="sitenavmenu"> <div id="sitenavmenu-content"> <ul id="sitenavmenu-content-menu"> <li>Register</li> <li><%: Html.ActionLink("About", "About", "Home")%></li> <li>Contact Us</li> </ul> </div> </div> My CSS looks like this: #sitenavmenu { position:absolute; margin-left:300px; top:2px; width:500px; } #sitenavmenu-content-menu li { list-style-type:none; display:inline; padding-right:5px; font-size:small; } The problem I have is, if I don't position it absolutely, it looks fine. As soon as I position it absolutely (as it is shown above), the sitenavmenu div changes size, and although it shifts to the top, the sitenavmenu-content div appears below it. There is no other CSS as I have only just started, and I have checked padding etc. and everything is zero. I just can't figure out why it's not working, and I don't want to hack it. Edit: It's something to do with the height of #sitenavmenu. If I leave it, then the sitenav-content ends up horizontally centered in it, although #sitenavmenu is much taller. If I make them both the same size, so they should sit on top of each other, then the #sitenavmenu-content sits below.

    I have this to add a class to the main table that the report is in if there is no data returned. $('#report-area table td:contains("Sorry, your search did not return any data")').parents('#reportArea').addClass('no-report-data') However, I have another div area "#report-footer" but it's not inside #report-area. I'd like to also add the .no-report-data class to "#report-footer" as well but in this case I don't think the .parents selector will work. Is there another selector I can use to do this?

  • Change class of parent div if radio input checked

    I've been searching and searching google for answers to my question but have been unsuccessful so far. I'm hoping one of you guys could give me some assistance. I have 10 divs with the class name "dividend" holding a table with the classname/id of "container" then two smaller tables inside that. Within the container table at the bottom is a hidden radio button with the name "page1". I wrote an onClcick for the container table so the user can select the whole table instead of the radio button, but not I'm trying to change the style of the selected container so the users know they have selected it. I have tried a few different methods and I'm able to change the style to the new class by just writing document.getElementById('container').className = 'selected'; But because all 10 divs share the same name it will only change the style of the first element it finds. So I tried writing this loop to check if there are any selected radios in the document then to change the else name the style as the default. I'm sure its something stupid but I'm pretty stumped atm.. Any help would be appreciated.
