    Is there a way to make LogCat's output to appear in Console view in Eclipse? LogCat view is much less convenient that Console, because it's hard to see long messages in it (they are trimmed by column border) and there are no clickable highlighting in exception stack traces to quickly navigate to source of error.

I have just started on jquery, today is my first day infact and am trying to see if there is a way to dump out value to firebug console. Do we have similar function to var_dump or echo in jQuery or any other way to get values or debug statements displayed on the console ?

    I have a simple package class which is overloaded so I can output package data simply with cout << packagename. I also have two data types, name which is a string and shipping cost with a double. protected: string name; string address; double weight; double shippingcost; ostream &operator<<( ostream &output, const Package &package ) { output << "Package Information ---------------"; output << "Recipient: " << package.name << endl; output << "Shipping Cost (including any applicable fees): " << package.shippingcost; The problem is occurring with the 4th line (output << "Recipient:...). I'm receiving the error "no operator "<<" matches these operands". However, line 5 is fine. I'm guessing this has to do with the data type being a string for the package name. Any ideas?

  • Editing .bash_profile file not taking effect

    I need to put export PATH=$PATH:/opt/lampp/bin to my ~/.bash_profile file so that mysql from command line works on my system. Please check mysql command line not working for further details on that. I am working on a fedora system and logged in as root user. If I run locate .bash_profile then I get these:- /etc/skel/.bash_profile /home/sam/.bash_profile /home/sohil/.bash_profile /home/windows/.bash_profile /root/.bash_profile So, I modified the /root/.bash_profile file like this:- from PATH=$PATH:$HOME/bin export PATH to PATH=$PATH:/opt/lampp/bin export PATH But, still the change is not taking effect - Opening a new console and running mysql again says bash: mysql: command not found. However running export PATH=$PATH:/opt/lampp/bin in console makes it work for that session. So, I am doing something wrong with the .bash_profile file. May be editing incorrect one or doing the edit incorrectly.

    As you can in this above image there are two windows of vlc player, I just want to get rid of the other vlc direct3d output window. VLC version is latest i.e. 2.0.1. If I change the video output to some other also; this thing doesn't change. Only the title changes i.e. now it is direct3d output then it will change to openGL or as per the selected output video option. This happens when I play *.mov files.

    My company is serving up deep-zoom maps. We have 100'000s jpg images being served up and was wondering if output caching would be the way to go. Our problem is latency on serving the images. I was wondering if i output caching would indeed improve latency and a general explanation about output caching.   • How do I overwrite a file currently being read by Python

    Hi guys, I am not too sure the best way to word this, but what I want to do, is read a pdf file, make various modifications, and save the modified pdf over the original file. As of now, I am able to save the modified pdf to a separate file, but I am looking to replace the original, not create a new file.     When I run the sendmail -bs command as root, I get the expected output: $ sudo sendmail -bs 220 mydomain.com ESMTP Postfix ehlo localhost 250-mydomain.com 250-PIPELINING 250-SIZE 15728640 250-ETRN 250-ENHANCEDSTATUSCODES 250-8BITMIME 250 DSN But when I run the same command without sudo, I get no output at all and sendmail doesn't respond to any commands: $ sendmail -bs ehlo localhost quit wtf ^C $ How can I configure Postfix so that sendmail works for every user (or at least for some specific users)? I need this because SwiftMailer for PHP uses sendmail -bs for sending mails and fails when it can't find any output.

  • Python, Unicode, and the Windows console

    When I try to print a Unicode string in a windows console, I get a "UnicodeEncodeError: 'charmap' codec can't encode character ...." error. I assume this is because the Windows console does not accept Unicode-only characters. What's the best way around this? Is there any way I can make Python automatically print a "?" instead of failing in this situation? Edit: I'm using Python 2.5.

  • Need help connecting to SRW2024 Linksys Switch from CentOS 5.4

    I am configured a Linksys SRW2024, I accidently changed the management VLAN before changing the VLAN configuration thus I can no longer access it with the net. The only way I have read to get into it now is via a console cable, my laptop with me is a MacBook Pro with no Serial port connection, apart from driving around a town that I am unfamilar with to find an adapter I thought I would try on a Linux box. I have a CentOS 5.4 server here (PowerEdge R300) that I am trying to use to talk to the switch. I tried minicom first but I do not see the console. Another site suggested the screen command. I tried "screen /dev/ttyS0 38400" but all I get is blinking curser, I do not see the configuration. I don't know if anyone here as any tips but I hope someone does. Thank You,

However, to prevent taking screenshot of the same website twice I have to check whether there already has been taken screenshot of the website, while looping through another users websites. I try to create my own helloWorld, as the tutorial says : php app/console generate:bundle I go Start-Run-CMD and put that line of code and it gives me back this : could not open input file : app/console and before anyone asks i am in the project directory when i perform this command I put the PHP directory to the System PATH but the problem persists.

  • Restricting output to only allow localhost using iptables

    I would like to restrict outbound traffic to only localhost using iptables. I already have a default DROP policy on OUTPUT and a rule REJECTing all traffic. I need to add a rule above that in the OUTPUT chain. I have seen a couple different examples for this type of rule, the most common being: -A OUTPUT -o lo -j ACCEPT and -A OUTPUT -o lo -s 127.0.0.1 -d 127.0.0.1 -j ACCEPT Is there any reason to use the latter rather than the former? Can packets on lo have an address other than 127.0.0.1?

    Have a centos 6.3 box running on Parallels and I'm trying to open port 80 to be accesible from outside tried the gui solution from this post and it works, but I need to get it done from a script.   • Recipes/tutorials/libraries for GUI-like terminal navigation (vim/lynx-style)?

    Several console based applications like vim or lynx offer a rich user interface which enables the user to navigate freely around the console, manipulate data directly on screen, access menus and much more, similar to "modern" gui applications. How is that being achieved in principal on Unix/Linux with C++? Do you directly manipulate some kind of character buffer or is the screen constantly cleared and reprinted to stdout? Is there a set of libraries to implement such behavior or even some kind of a "modern" event-driven GUI toolkit for the console?
