• Qt: Background color on QStandardItem using StyleSheet

  Hi I have a class that inherits QStandardItem and I put the elements in a QTreeWidget. The class receive notifications from the outside and I want to change the background color of the item based on what happened. If I do not use stylesheets it works just fine, like this: void myClass::onExternalEvent() { setBackground(0, QColor(255,0,0))); } However as soon as I put a stylesheet on the QTreeWidget this has no effect, the stylesheet seems to override the setBackground call. So I tried : void myClass::onExternalEvent() { this-setStyleSheet("background-color: red"); } but this is probably all wrong, it changed the color of some other element on my screen, not sure why. So anyone have an idea on how I can alter the background color like with setBackgroundColor but still be able to use stylesheet on my QTreeWidget?

  I am trying to develop a simple freehand-drawing app for red-marking some of my images. Below is a method that is called from within the drawRect. I want to ask if there is a way to avoid add the path every time the path is redrawn? Also, the way the draw method is set up, the drawing gets a bit slow and choopy after a few seconds.   Please explain how does the drawing cache work in Android. I'm implementing a custom View subclass. I want my drawing to be cached by the system. In the View constructor, I call setDrawingCacheEnabled(true); Then in the draw(Canvas c), I do: Bitmap cac = getDrawingCache(); if(cac != null) { c.drawBitmap(cac, 0, 0, new Paint()); return; } Yet the getDrawingCache() returns null to me. My draw() is not called neither from setDrawingCacheEnabled(), nor from getDrawingCache(). Please, what am I doing wrong?

But when I implement the paint method, which does nothing, the color changes to default color i.e gray. I tried to set graphics.setColor() but it didn't help. Thank you.

• Vertex Buffer Object not drawing in SDL window

  I'm just using the opengl SDL template with Xcode, and everything runs fine. I removed the Atlantis code, and changed the main extension to .mm, then added some testing code to drawGL. Drawing a simple triangle (using immediate mode) at this point inside drawGL gives me a white triangle, but when I add the code to draw using a vertex buffer object, i just get a black window. • Calculating the average color between two colors in PHP, using an index number as reference value

  Hi all! In PHP, I am trying to calculate the average color (in hex) between to different hex colors.. However, I also need to be able to supply an index number between 0.0 and 1.0. So for example: I have $color1 = "#ffffff" and $color2 = "#0066CC" .. If I would write a function to get the average color and I would supply 0.0 as the index number, the function would need to return "#ffffff". If I would supply 1.0 as the index number, the function would need to return "#0066CC".. However if I would supply 0.2, the function would need to return an average color between the two colors, but still closer to color1 than to color2.. If I would supply index number 0.5, I would get the exact average color of both colors.. I have been trying to accomplish this for several days now but I can't seem to figure it out..! Any help would therefor be greatly appreciated!.. Thanks!

  Hey, I got a europe map designed in flash (1 movieclip, 1 frame, really simple), which contains the map as drawing objects directly inside the scene and in addition some specific countries as clickable buttons. So far it's working fine. What I need now is to make all the other drawing objects clickable without having to edit and script each object. • over Windows terminal change cursor width or color in Vim depending on mode

  I am using PuTTY to connect over SSH to an Ubuntu server from my Windows 7 workstation. Once connected I am using the Vim installation from the Ubuntu server to edit files. I want the cursor to change when I go into and out of insert mode. Part of my .vimrc file is like this but it is not changing the cursor: if &term =~ "xterm" echo "xTerm!!inate!" let &t_SI = "\<Esc>]12;purple\x7" let &t_EI = "\<Esc>]12;blue\x7" endif I know that the if statement is executing because of the echo. EDIT: Actually I would prefer to change the cursor to be a vertical line like you can in the PuTTY settings rather than change the color, or maybe even do both. But just changing the color would be a lot better than nothing. Also I am willing to change terminals if there is another Windows 7 Professionsal 64 bit compatible terminal that can do this (preferably something free). Maybe Poderosa can do this?

I do understand color temperature in general (i.e. the lower the number, the "colder"/"oranger" - the higher the number, the "hotter"/"bluer"). The way PowerPoint implements it seems opposite from most other programs - like Photo Filter in Photoshop.
