  • Cisco ASA (Client VPN) to LAN - through second VPN to second LAN

    We have 2 site that is linked by an IPSEC VPN to remote Cisco ASAs: Site 1 1.5Mb T1 Connection Cisco(1) 2841 Site 2 1.5Mb T1 Connection Cisco 2841 In addition: Site 1 has a 2nd WAN 3Mb bonded T1 Connection Cisco 5510 that connects to same LAN as Cisco(1) 2841. Basically, Remote Access (VPN) users connecting through Cisco ASA 5510 needs access to a service at the end of Site 2. This is due to the way the service is sold - Cisco 2841 routers are not under our management and it is setup to allow connection from local LAN VLAN 1 IP address 10.20.0.0/24. My idea is to have all traffic from Remote Users through Cisco ASA destined for Site 2 to go via the VPN between Site 1 and Site 2. The end result being all traffic that hits Site 2 has come via Site 1. I'm struggling to find a great deal of information on how this is setup. So, firstly, can anyone confirm that what I'm trying to achieve is possible? Secondly, can anyone help me to correct the configuration bellow or point me in the direction of an example of such a configuration?     I'm trying to setup a pxe server with serva to deploy Windows 8.1 for a bunch of Elitepads. The server is working correctly for other PCs and virtual machines, but the Elitepads just won't. I've read some articles which suggest the pxe server needs Uefi support to work with this model, but no documentation on the subject from serva. Is there a way to setup UEFI support on serva? Are there any similar options to work around this without falling to Windows server?

Should I even care about TRIM for SSDs installed in performance-sensitive workstations?   • Mouse gestures for Windows with "Rocker" support

    I'm looking for a mouse gestures program for Windows (including XP). I've seen gMote and StrokeIt, both pretty good, but they're both missing one thing: support for Rocker Gestures. If you don't know it, a Rocker gesture is just holding your right mouse button, then clicking your left (and vice versa). StrokeIt, at least, supports Rocker gestures in one direction, but not the other. Anybody know of a good program that has support for Rocker gestures? Thanks

I've found a list of chipsets that are purported to have this, but every board I look at, the vendor has decided to not support that feature. Are there motherboards that have been shown to support ECC RAM (and which particular models?) and also USB 3.0? I've read that there are such chipsets with ECC support, but motherboard manufacturers won't guarantee they work, or won't even offer the required BIOS options.

    Hey I've just installed Windows Server 2003 Enterprise onto a newly built PC with this motherboard, but when I try to install the CDROM Support files it reports with an alert that says "Support files incompatible with WIN... blah blah" (Basically they seem to be only compatible with win7). Should I be installing Windows Server 2012 for these drivers? or are there drivers that are compatible with the Server 2003 Operating System?

Windows 8 has changed a lot of things from even Windows 7, and there were rumors a while back that it would only be available in 64-bit[1][2] which seems not to be the case anymore. It’s no secret thet Microsoft is pushing users to migrate to 64-bit systems. Have they dropped 16-bit support from Windows 8 altogether (including 32-bit versions)?

When (in the Admin) I create an instance of Actor, and this person is also a Director, it won't save because of the unique = True. Any ideas how to solve this problem? (generic foreign keys?) Thx

  • Storing PLSQL stored-procedure values in Oracle memory caches for extended periods

    I am collecting runtime profiling data from PLSQL stored procedures. The data is collected as certain stored procedures execute, but it needs to accumululate across multiple executions of those procedures. To minimize overhead, I'd like to store that profiling data in some PLSQL-accessable Oracle memory-resident storage somewhere for the duration of the data collection interval, and then dump out the accumulated values. The data collection interval might be seconds or hours; its ok not to store this data across system boots. Something like session state in web servers would do. What are my choices for storing such data? The only method I know about are contexts in dbms_sessions: procedure set_ctx (value in varchar8) as begin dbms_session.set_context ( 'Test_Ctx', 'AccumulatedValue', value, NULL, 'ProfilerSessionId' ); end set_ctx; This works, but takes some 50 milliseconds(!) per update to the accumulated value. What I'm hoping for is a way to access/store an array of values in some Oracle memory using vanilla PLSQL statements, with access times typical of array accesses made to package-local arrays.

  • PCA extended face recognition

    The state of the art says that we can use PCA to perform face recognition. like this, this or this I am working with a project that involves training a classifier to detect a person who is wearing glasess or hats or even a mustache. The purpose of doing this is to detect when a person that has robbed a bank, store, or have commeted some sort of crime(s) (we have their image in a database), enters a certain place ( historically we know these guys have robbed, so we should take care to avoid problems). We came first to have a distributed database with all images of criminals, then I thought to have a layer of them clasifying these criminals using accesories like hats, mustache or anything that hides their face etc... Then, to apply that knowledge to detect when a particular or a suspect person enters a comercial place. ( In practice when someone is going to rob not all the times they are using an accesorie...) What do you think about this idea of doing PCA to first detect principal components of the face and then the components of an accesory. I was thinking that maybe a probabilistic approach is better so we can compute the probability the criminal is the person that entered a place and call the respective authorities.

    Hi, Im trying to redirect to facebook to request permission to publish stream. However, it only works when i did not specify any display parameters, it shows me a web version of it. I wanted a wap version instead. What should I do?
