  • Problem to display a pdf from my JSF Portlet of Liferay

    I use liferay 5.2 with jsf-portlet. From the page I want to press a button to generate one PDF. In managedbean i build pdf and I want to show it in response. In a ByteArrayOutputStream named outputStream i have my pdf built with JasperReport.     I've been using the Maven EAR plugin for creating my ear files for a new project. I noticed in the plugin documentation you can specify exclude statements for modules. Besides explicitly declaring exclude statements per module is it possible to use wildcards or and exclude all maven dependencies flag to only include those modules i declare and exclude everything else? Is anyone aware of a more elegant solution?

But I need "table" property to specify indexes. What's going on here? I'm almost driven crazy!

    I saw this question http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2021716/inject-into-private-package-or-public-field-or-provide-a-setter about how to manually inject into annotated private fields (The way is adding setters or through a constructor) But, the point is how do an application server (like glassfish, axis2, jboss, ...) is able to inject into a final private field (without adding setters or constructors to the user class)?     I've downloaded the typesafe stack for windows and created a new project. When I fire up sbt and try to run the new unmodified application there's this error: [error] java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/jboss/netty/channel/ChannelFactory just out of curiosity I also tried to compile the project. The error is different: [error] IO error while decoding .....welcome.template.scala with UTF-8 [error] Please try specifying another one using the -encoding option What can I do to fix this ?

  • Problems with deploying struts annotations in ear file

    I am attempting to make use of the struts 2 annotations, what I have found is if I deploy the app as a war file everything works fine but if I deploy my war as part of an ear file none of the struts annotations work only the actions defined in struts.xml work. I can't seem to work out why deploying as a ear file annotations don't work. Has anyone else experienced this problem? I am using struts 2.1.8 and deploying to Jboss 5 thanks

    According to this section of the Hibernate documentation I should be able to query any java class in HQL http://docs.jboss.org/hibernate/core/3.3/reference/en/html/queryhql.html#queryhql-polymorphism Unfortunately when I run this query... "from Transaction trans where trans.envelopeId=:envelopeId" I get the message "Transaction is not mapped [from Transaction trans where trans.envelopeId=:envelopeId]". Transaction is an interface, I have to entity classes that implement it, I want on HQL query to return a Collection of type Transaction.

On my local linux machine it runs fine. but on another linux machine it works some times and sometimes it throws up the above error
