    Today i work through a theme to get a better understanding of wordpress and templating. I discovered this <?php printf( __('Designed by %s', 'Anyword'), '<a href="http://www.blub.tld" target="_blank">Blub</a>', '' ); ?> I know it shows "Designed by Blub" (Where Blub is linked) But what does the __ mean or why is there a string insert?     I'm a web developer. When I start designing a site, I use a framework to handle templating for me, even if it's just rack + erubis. What do non-developers do? If you want to implement a site in HTML and CSS without a framework running on a webserver, without frames, and without WYSYWIG tools like Dreamweaver... how do you avoid copy-and-pasting the HTML of your navigation (for example) on every single page you're writing? I feel stupid asking this because it seems like their must be an obvious answer, but for the life of me, I can't think of one right now.

  • MediaWiki plugin for dynamic content via forms

    Are there any plugins for MediaWiki that would allow me to create a page that has a form at the top that when filled in populates tags further down in the document? Say someone would put a form with "Source Server:" and "Destination Server:" fields at the top. Once those were typed in it would automatically populate those names into the content lower so that when following the instructions you could just read the docs and not have to mentally replace things, and possibly mess it all up. I'm not looking to make pages that are permanent, just ones that can have values entered before they are followed. Any suggestions?

    I am developing a simple mainly static website using WordPress (because maybe in the future I will add some dynamic content) for a company. The new site have to follow the structure of the old site that requires the presence of a vertical main menu in the left column that contains the link to all the statics pages in the site. This is the old site structure: http://www.saranistri.com/ Now I have installed a new WordPress test site (this is only a test site): http://onofri.org/example/ As you can see in the left columns I have put two main menu vetical widgets that implements a possible choise for the maun menù (the top menù upon the header must be eliminated in the final implementation) I want to know some opinions about: 1) Which of the two version is better? Do you have some additional ideas about the CSS style of this vertical menu? 2) What could I do to give a more professional look to this site?   • Add to extra div to the side of the content

    Hi. I've read some post for adding extra divs to the both sides of the main content and act like a sidebars. But I want to add 2 extra div for adding some graphics and the right will be to the right of the actual sidebar. I took a screenshot for explain my self better. I've added to extra div before the pagewrap and working with css I locate the divs to left and to the right but there is a problem, if some has a resolution smaller then me the divs start moving messing up the loyout. I want that they stay near the content and the sidebar for all the resolution. I've tryed working with css with position and % but with no results. Ok so, the cyan rectangle would be the extra divs, and the gray graphics the contents of these. I don't care if the users has smaller resolutions, the graphics can go out the screen, but the "roots" must be fixed to the side of the main content ;) Hope I explained well.   • boot.ini Issue - Multi-boot System, Linux, XP and XP64 - Missing File in system32 Message

    I have an interesting issue that has me stumped. Not that I'm a computer whiz or anything. I have a multi-boot system with two hard drives: one drive has CentOS and Windows XP 64-bit and the other drive has Windows XP 32-bit. CentOS grub boot loader works great, and I have it set to default to Windows. But this is the problem. My boot.ini file seems to be in order, yet it still gives an error if I choose the default OS (which, consequently, is XP32): Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrput: (Windows root) \system32\ntoskrnl.exe. Please re-install a copy of the above file. But if I choose the actual boot ID, i.e., toggle to the Windows XP Pro selection it boots just fine. In the boot.ini file, the entry for XP 32 is the samee: [boot loader] timeout=30 default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Windows XP Pro" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect /usepmtimer [operating systems] multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Windows XP Pro" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect /usepmtimer multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(1)partition(2)\WINDOWS="Windows XP Pro x64" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect /usepmtimer What am I missing?

  • atl90.dll version 9.0.30729.4148 is missing in WinSxS folder

    I have the following problem: when starting Visual Studio 2008, it says "Cannot find one or more components. Please reinstall the application." and stops. With the help of Sysinternals ProcessMonitor, I found out that Visual Studio could not load the atl90.dll 9.0.30729.4148 from the WinSxS folder. I tried to manually copy the older atl90.dll 9.0.30729.1 with the result that Visual Studio works again. Now I call this a dirty workaround, and not a solution. Plus I still don't know the reason why the atl90.dll disappeared in the first place. So my questions: - Does anyone know of a reason why this might have happened? - Does anyone know a real solution to the problem, e.g. a Microsoft download that includes the atl90.dll in the correct version 9.0.30729.4148 that installs into WinSxS?     I'm working with Windows Server 2008, Apache 2.2. I'm using php-5.3.5-Win32-VC6-x86.msi as the installer, using the threadsafe version. I've gone through the install process four or five times just to make sure that I'm not missing anything ridiculous, but I don't think I am. The problem is that the php_ldap.dll extension simply doesn't seem to exist. It's not present in the installer interface (where the user is asked to choose which extensions to install), and it definitely doesn't appear in the ext/ directory after install. I found a lot of mentions of this issue for 5.3.3, including links to download the extension individually. Those links no longer exist, of course, and besides: they were for 5.3.3. I'd really rather use an extension that belongs with PHP 5.3.5. Anyone else encounter this problem? Any ideas as to what's going wrong? Anyone seen acknowledgement by the PHP folks that the file is indeed missing, and that it's an oversight? It's quite a frustration because the server I'm building has no purpose if I don't have PHP LDAP support. Cheers all, and thanks in advance for your assistance.

    I had a partition with Windows 8 Release Preview, Windows' System Reserved partition and the empty space of the beginning of disk. I moved two partitions to the beginning of disk using Ubuntu Live CD and GParted. After that, the Windows Loader didn't boot and throw an error about missing files. I fixed it using the commands: bootsect /nt60 sys /force /mbr bootrec /rebuildbcd bootrec /fixboot bootrec /fixmbr When I used "Automatic repair" option from "Advanced boot" menu, it throw an error like: Windows can't fix your boot problems. For more information see file C:\Windows\System32\LogFiles\Srt\SrtTrail.txt In this file I found a description of the system repair actions and at the end of file: Boot status indicates that the OS booted successfully. Now, when I use the Advanced boot menu from Windows 8 (PC settings - General - Advanced startup) I receive an error: Restart your PC to try again. It looks like something didn't load correctly. Restarting might fix the problem. If this happens more than once, you might also be able to find help by searching online for the specific error code. Erorr code: 0x8007090. 0x80070490 is the error code ERROR_NOT_FOUND. What are the missing boot files and how can I restore them?   • SharePoint 2010 Enterprise wiki - [New page] missing

    I am trying to ramp up knowledge on SharePoint deployment and usage (never did before), due to a direction to use SharePoint 2010 as a repository platform (wiki format) for our customer's infrastructure documentation. In my test virtual server, a new site of Enterprise wiki template was setup. Went into Site Actions Manage Site Features to activate Wiki Page Home Page. The default sub-web then went from /Pages to /SitePages and looks like the default Team template. The odd thing is the Site Actions is missing the New Page option. My colleague does not understand why this is the case, as it ought to be there. The original /Pages sub-web does have the option. What conditions are in play that influences the appearance of that option? UPDATE Another phenomenon observed is in the Site Actions View All Site Content view, the wiki document libraries listed in the grid will have their hyperlink (e.g. "Site Pages") lead straight to the direct default page. It would not show its own table listing of pages under that document library, unlike the original Pages document library, which expectedly show up as a listing. I wonder if this hints to any problems.

E.g., MONTH | CODE | VALUE 1 | aaa | 111 1 | bbb | 222 1 | ccc | 333 2 | aaa | 1111 2 | ccc | 2222 The codes are clients and the values are sales volumes. Each row represents the sales for one month for one client. So I have three clients, namely aaa, bbb, and ccc. For month=1 their sales volumes are: aaa-111, bbb-222, and ccc-333. A client may or may not have sales for every month; for example, for the month 2, the client bbb has no sales. I have to construct a completed summary table for all the MONTH / CODE pairs with their corresponding VALUE (using the value from the "partial" table, if present, otherwise print a string "missing"). MONTH | CODE | VALUE 1 | aaa | 111 1 | bbb | 222 1 | ccc | 333 2 | aaa | 1111 2 | bbb | missing 2 | ccc | 2222 Or, to put it another way, the table is a linear representation of a matrix:                                 and I want to identify the cells for which no value was provided.   • Windows 7 - All Icons Missing, Explorer Progress Bar Never Finishes, Libraries Gone

    since yesterday i've had three issues which all arose at the same time. windows 7 x64, i7 2.8ghz 12gb ddr3 1 - my libraries, favorites, drives are missing...basically the entire sidebar is gone. http://i.imgur.com/m8pRQ.png. yet when i open a dialog, my libraries and drives are back to normal ONLY for the dialog. i tried Restore Default Libraries. it works one time, but when i open libraries again i go back to the empty mess. restarting the computer temporarily fixes the problem. 2 - in the explorer window that's showing libraries, when i navigate to a certain folder i get an unending progress bar (the kind that turns the address bar green). yesterday when the problem started, i was saving a file to this folder. the program writing the file crashed during the write and i believe that's what caused the problem. i have sugarsync backing up that folder and when i restarted the computer sugarsync informed me that its database was corrupted, so i had to uninstall and reinstall the software. 3 - icons are missing. the Rebuild Icon Cache did not fix this. http://i.imgur.com/r9pgo.png restarting the computer temporarily fixes these problems, but when i open the directory with the initial write problem, everything stops working. edit: i should note that i did a chkdsk /f and it repaired problems. i also did the thing that verifies then restores windows files (can't remember the command now), which reported that everything was normal.

    I am having trouble with a template that has to check 3 different nodes and if they are not empty, print the data I am using for each node then doing the output but it is not printing anything. It is like the test returns zero. I have selected the parent node of each node i want to check the length on as the template match but it still doesn't work. I have a template class defined as: template <class T> class Vector { T x, y, z; public: //constructors Vector(); Vector(const T& x, const T& y, const T& z); Vector(const Vector& u); //accessors T getx() const; T gety() const; T getz() const; //mutators void setx(const T& x); void sety(const T& y); void setz(const T& z); //operations void operator-(); Vector plus(const Vector& v); Vector minus(const Vector& v); Vector cross(const Vector& v); T dot(const Vector& v); void times(const T& s); T length() const; //Vector<T>& randvec(); //operators Vector& operator=(const Vector& rhs); friend std::ostream& operator<< <T>(std::ostream&, const Vector<T>&); }; and the function in question, which I've defined after all those functions above, is: //random Vector template <class T> Vector<double>& randvec() { const int min=-10, max=10; Vector<double>* r = new Vector<double>; int randx, randy, randz, temp; const int bucket_size = RAND_MAX/(max-min +1); temp = rand(); //voodoo hackery do randx = (rand()/bucket_size)+min; while (randx < min || randx > max); r->setx(randx); do randy = (rand()/bucket_size)+min; while (randy < min || randy > max); r->sety(randy); do randz = (rand()/bucket_size)+min; while (randz < min || randz > max); r->setz(randz); return *r; } Yet, every time I call it in my main function using a line like: Vector<double> a(randvec()); I get that error. However, if I remove the template and define it using 'double' instead of 'T', the call to randvec() works perfectly. Why doesn't it recognize randvec()? P.S. Don't mind the bit labeled voodoo hackery - this is just a cheap hack so that I can get around another problem I encountered.

If your query is related to the displayed order then proceed go to next step otherwise select your order by clicking on Choose Different Order button Step 4 – Select the missing/damaged items from the list of items displayed from your order Step 5 – Choose the issue with your order. In case if an item is missing you may want to choose “Problem with an order”, “Missing item or parts” and “Entire item missing from shipment”. You may want to choose the options that are close to the issue you are facing with your order Step 6 – Choose how you want to support. You can choose either “E-Mail”, “Phone” or “Chat”.   • .NET Reference "Copy Local" True / Fasle Being Set Based on Contents of General Assembly

    Hello All. First question for me here. We had a very interesting problem with a Win Forms project. It's been resolved. We know what happened, but we want to understand why it happened. This may help other people out in the future who have a similar problem. The WinForms project failed on 2 of our client's PCs. The error was an obscure kernel.dll error. The project ran fine on 3 other PCs. We found that a .DLL (log4net.dll - a very popular open-source logging library) was missing from our release folder. It was previously in our release folder. Why was it missing in this latest release? It was missing because I must have installed a program on my Dev box that used log4net.dll and it was added to the general assembly. When I checked the SLN's references for log4net.dll, they were changed to "copy local=FALSE". They must have changed automagicially because log4net.dll was present in my GAC. Here's where my question starts: Why did my reference for log4net.dll get changed from COPY LOCAL = TRUE to COPY LOCAL = FALSE? I suspect it's because it was added to my GAC by another program. How can we prevent this from happening again? As it stands now, if I install a piece of software that uses a common library and it adds it to my GAC, then my SLNs that REF that DLL will change from Copy Local TRUE to FALSE. Thank you so much. I hope this helps people out who have a piece of software that runs in some places, but not in others, when it used to run fine in ALL places.
