    After removing the minimum element in a binary heap, i.e. after removing the root, why is the last leaf then assigned to the root and sifted down? Why not take the lesser child of what used to be the root and just keep sifting up all the children? Isn't this the same amount of operations, so why is the "sift down" method preferred?

    we want to have the second biggest element. We first use ANY to exclude the biggest one. Then we use all to select the biggest. However when we run this query, it shows the biggest and not the second one. Why? The input is HTML page and path to CSS files etc. I want to take e.g. H1 tag and found what will be the CSS for it.     Is it possible to do indexed element access in JPQL like in HQL : select o from Order o where o.items[0].id = 1234 I couldn't find something related in the JPA 2 specs, I am targeting EclipseLink JPA here, so if you come up with an EclipseLink solution, that's ok as well, although a JPQL standard solution is preferred.

  • copy an element as HTML to clipboard

    I've managed to write some jQuery to find an element and copy it's html to the clipboard (ie only). The problem is that when I paste this into a rich text box area in sharepoint it pastes the HTML as text only. How do i replicate the user action of highlighting a link on a page and pressing copy. When I do this manually and then paste the clipboard contents the rich text area realises that it is markup and replicates the link as an anchor in the text content.

    Hi. Why is it better to store data inside an appSettings element (or inside a custom section) of a web.config file than to store it in a class? One argument would be that by using custom sections we don’t have to recompile code when we change data, but that’s a weak argument, especially if we’re using Web Sites, which get recompiled automatically whenever code changes!     When using Sortable.create I can't seem to get the element that is being dragged. Does Sciptaculous not fully implement all Draggable and Droppable features when you use sortable? Given: Sortable.create("sortArea", {scroll:window, onChange:orderLi}); function orderLi(){ console.log(this.draggables.each(function(e){if(e.dragging==true){return e};})); } My console always shows all the array of draggables. How do I only grab the one that is being dragged?

    Is there an easy and straight-forward method to select elements based on their data attribute? For example, select all anchors that has data attribute named customerID which has value of 22. I am kind of hesitant to use rel or other attributes to store such information, but I find it much harder to select an element based on what data is stored in it. Thanks!

  • Detect if selected element is an anchor on right click

    I'm writing a small firefox addon to grab urls and send them to a site. What I want to do is be able to right click on a link (but not have to actually highlight it) and be able to click send and the links href value is grabbed and sent. The bit I'm having trouble with is detecting if the selected element is an anchor and grabbing it's href. Many thanks for any help given :)
