  • Is it necessary to share every underlying folder in a Dropbox shared folder?

    I have one Dropbox (I suppose) shared between my business account / PC and my wife's account / PC running Windows XP and a laptop with Windows 7. I created a folder and shared this one with both (or three) accounts. I created an underlying folder (no need to share, says the help) but it is not visible on the other PCs, so I've shared it to both accounts. Is this sharing necessary for every simple new folder?

    I have a path for example C:\files\dir\file.css The "files" directory exists. however, the dir directory is missing and needs to be created. When I try to create the file using File.Create, it throws an exception saying that the directory was not found. Is there any way to make .net to create the missing folders along the path for me?   • How do I access shared folders on Ubuntu server from Mac OS?

    I have an old dell desktop running ubuntu 11.04, I also have samba installed on it. I'm trying to access the shared folders on the Ubuntu machine from my Mac, so I go into 'Finder', click on 'Go' and 'Connect to Server'. I type in the ip address of the ubuntu machine smb://xxx.xxx.x.xx and click connect, I can then see the list of shared folders from the ubuntu machine so I know its making a connection. But when I access the 'Music' folder I get an error message stating: There was an error connecting to the server "xxx.xxx.x.xx". Check the server name or IP address, and try again. Any thoughts anyone ? EDIT I have a external hard drive attached to the server, and the folders I'm trying to access are located on that external hard drive. The location of the folder is /media/HD-CELU2/test, so I think the path from Finder should be smb://xxx.xxx.x.xx/media/HD-CELU2/test, but having tested this, I'm still not getting in. P.S. I'm using Samba as I have a Windows machine on my home network as well.

  • How do you exclude folders on get operation for sourcecontrol in CruiseControl.NET

    I have a cruisecontrol.net project which currently doesn't monitor a source safe project. It is forced manually. Within the source control block however I want to be able to exclude the 'get' operation of a certain folder. I know there is a ExclusionFilter feature on a source control block in the config file, but I think that this excludes the sub folder from being monitored not from being retrieved from the repository. Can anyone confirm this is the case, or help me find out how I can achieve this? I'm using CCNet 1.4 and SourceSafe

The trick within the archetype.xml with the trailing / doesnt works for me: <resources> <resource>src/main/webapp/</resource> Unable to find resource 'archetype-resources/src/main/webapp/' Also the fileSet directory in archetype-metadata.xml does not work for me: <fileSet filtered="true" encoding="UTF-8"> <directory>src/main/webapp/</directory> </fileSet> Is there any other solution?   • Iterating through folders and files in batch file?

    Here's my situation. A project has as objective to migrate some attachments to another system. These attachments will be located to a parent folder, let's say "Folder 0" (see this question's diagram for better understanding), and they will be zipped/compressed. I want my batch script to be called like so: BatchScript.bat "c:\temp\usd\Folder 0" I'm using 7za.exe as the command line extraction tool. What I want my batch script to do is to iterate through the "Folder 0"'s subfolders, and extract all of the containing ZIP files into their respective folder. It is obligatory that the files extracted are in the same folder as their respective ZIP files. So, files contained in "File 1.zip" are needed in "Folder 1" and so forth. I have read about the FOR...DO command on Windows XP Professional Product Documentation - Using Batch Files. Here's my script: @ECHO OFF FOR /D %folder IN (%%rootFolderCmdLnParam) DO FOR %zippedFile IN (*.zip) DO 7za.exe e %zippedFile I guess that I would also need to change the actual directory before calling 7za.exe e %zippedFile for file extraction, but I can't figure out how in this batch file (through I know how in command line, and even if I know it is the same instruction "cd"). Anyone's help is gratefully appreciated.

I also put the videos on my product pages but I want to build a separate video page and link them all together.. I have almost 200 videos that i want my customers to be able to easily navigate through (like thumbnails). I also think that this will help my internal link structure. When I do that I getting error [ERROR] Errors in 'file:/C:/..Projects/Admin/DMX/src_console/com/ho/nod/client/AdminRPC.java' [ERROR] Line 7: No source code is available for type com.dmx.synch.server.descriptors.DMXLicense; did you forget to inherit a required module? Source is available obviously; is there any way to import all that into GWT? PS In the future 2 source folder will be separated into 2 projects...I hope it wont be that complicated as well.

We've got a backupscript that created a new folder with the current date containing the database dumps of our database. (Yes, we version control our database). Now how can I use the svn commit command to include all directories that are new in the project? Is there an approach without using the svn add command?` Thanks for all advice!

  • Monitoring folders for changes

    I'm working on a project that will require an application that watches a list of directories the user specifies for changes. Also, I'd like to give the users the option of running the application as a service or on an individual basis. Since users can choose to run it on an individual basis I don't think listening for some operating system event triggered by the addition or deletion of files (if such events exist) would be sufficient. I thought about maybe calculating a checksum for the deepest folder and then building up. I could then compare these checksums on subsequent scans to try and pinpoint where the changes have occurred. Would that be an appropriate solution; if not what would be the best way of doing this in an efficient manner? Also, I'm not quite sure what to tag this as so if you have any recommendations let me know and I'll as them as I see fit. EDIT: I'll need this method to work on Windows, OS X, and ideally Linux

The command below works except it prints an annoying ".git" any time it skips a .git directory: find . I added the "usebackq", but that seems to only work for the /F command extension. Ideas?
