  • jQuery click off element event

    I have a floating div that gets displayed, and I want it to be hidden when the user clicks off the div. This would be similar to the .hover() funtion callback when hovering off an element. Only I want to do this for click. I tried just setting a click event for the body, which would hide the div, but that gave unexpected results. Anyone have ideas on how I could easily do this?

    I want to make asychronous get requests and to take different results based on the input that I provide to each one. Here is my code: param=1; $.get('http://localhost/my_page_1.php', param, function(data) { alert("id = "+param); $('.resul 5.t').html(data); }); param=2; $.get('http://localhost/my_page_2.php', param, function(data) { alert("id = "+param); $('.result').html(data); }); The result for both requests is: "id = 2" I want the results to be: "id = 1" for the 1st request, and "id = 2" for the second one..     Hi, I having problems with re-checking some checkboxes after and ajax call updates a table. I have a table of what the project calls 'shares'. I want to: 1) check for and save any checked shares to an array 2) Do my ajax call to update the table of shares 3) Re-check any there we checked before the ajax update. My code is not working and I can't see why?     i have a group of radio buttons that are generated on the fly from the db into a partial control then rendered on the page as html and they all have the same name now in firefox and chrome the following code works fine $(".FlightSelectedRadio").live('click', function() { alert("after flight select"); $("#ToisGarantueedBid").attr("disabled", false); }); however in ie it doesnt work on the first select of a radio but only fires if u select something else ? any ideas wat the problem is ?
