• Can't find a Wordpress image/photo gallery plugin

  I've been looking at Wordpress plugins for photo galleries (so maybe this is for superuser.com), and I've been very frustrated so far. It seems like what I'd like to do would be a very common use case: Admin: Be able to upload multiple pictures (at a time) Admin: Be able to assign a "gallery" to those pictures as I upload them User: Be able to go to a page with a (paged) list of all galleries User: Be able to click on gallery and view the images (again, probably paged) in that gallery User: Be able to click on an image to get larger/largest sizes User: Be able to leave comments on individual pictures (this is a "nice to have") The images/galleries could be totally independent of posts/pages, but it would be nice to be able to embed those images/galleries into posts/pages when necessary. Is there anything out there like this that I'm missing? I've tried a handful of plugins and none of them seem to be for a use case anywhere close to what I'm looking for. One of the reasons I'm trying to use Wordpress is to reduce time spent coding everything I want.

• Can I fire a Text Changed Event for an asp.net Text Box before it loses focus?

  I have an asp.net TextBox in which I want to check if the text entered into the TextBox is > 0. It works once I tab out or click out of the TextBox, but if I keep focus on the TextBox, it won't fire the Text Changed Event, so I have the following scenario, I want to enable something if and only if the TextBox.Text.Length = 0. Now, if I put my caret in the TextBox and delete all the characters and then leave the caret in the TextBox so it still has focus and take my mouse and click a button, it will not do what it was supposed to do because it never fired the Text Changed Event. How would something like this be handled?

  So i get the gist of $.delegate and I know why it's doing what it's doing, but I'm wondering if there is a work around. I have link elements that contain spans like so: <a href='#'> <span>Person Name</span> <span>Person Info</span> </a> I use the following code in jQuery for event delegation: containerElement.delegate('click','a',function(){...}); The trouble is that this only triggers when I click on white space not occupied by a span. I know it does this because delegate simply compares the event target to 'a' to check if it should fire the delegate, however I want to include the spans as well, pretty much anything inside the <a>...</a> what do?

  I have a little problem: slideHelpers.total = 4 for (i=1;i <= slideHelpers.total; i++) { $('<a href="#">' + i + '</a>').bind('click', function(){ alert('go to the ' + i + ' slide')}).appendTo('.slideaccess') } the alert gives out 5 what is logic, because when the function click triggers i is actually 5. But i would like to have the same i as in my <a> tag. What is the best way to handle this? I could put i in the data() of the <a> tag for example but i am sure there is a easier way.

  Given a block container <div> this is a very long string which contains a bunch of characters that I want to break at container edges. </div> are there any css properties I can set to force it to break when it reaches the container width, regardless of the contents of the string, for example a break like: this is a ve ry long stri ng which ... is pretty much what I want. Right now, it seems to always prefer to break at whitespace characters or other special characters (such as /).

• How to add a Page to Frame using code in WPF

  I have a Window where I have put a Frame. I would like to add a Page to the Frame when I click a button that is also on the Window but not in the Frame. There are several buttons in the Window and each click on a button should load a different Page in the Frame. Since I'm a total newbie on this WPF stuff it's quite possible that this approach is not the best and I have thought about replacing the Frame with a Canvas and then make UserControls instead of Pages that will be added to the Canvas. I welcome any ideas and suggestions on how to best solve this. I aiming for a functionality that is similar to the application Billy Hollis demonstrated in dnrtv episode 115. • Bad event on java panel

  Hi I have a java panel with 4 buttons. When I click on of these buttons, a new frame appears and the first is hidden with setVisibile(false). On that new window, I have another button, but when i click it, I got the event corresponding to the fourth button of the first window. Clicking the button again does the trick, but of course this is not acceptable. Am I missing something? I just show the frames with nameOfTheFrame.setVisible(true); and I have MouseListeners on every button.   Uncle Bob recommends having small methods. Do stored procedures have an ideal size? Or can they run on for 100's and 100's of lines long? Also does anyone have anything to say about where to place business logic. If located in stored procedures, the database is being used as data processing tier. If you read Adam Machanic, his bias is toward the database, does that imply long stored procedures that only the author of the sproc understands, leaving maintainers to deal with the mess? I guess there is two inter-related questions, somehow. Thanks in advance for responding to a fuzzy question(s).

  I have a RadioButtonList control and I would like to do a Javascript "confirm" when a user tries to change the index. Currently AutoPostBack is set to TRUE. I can, of course, just call __doPostBack from within a javascript function, etc. I tried a few things with jQuery but you have to worry about mousedown vs. click and then there is always the fact that you can click the checkbox label to select it, etc. Anyone have a nice solution for this? To be clear, I am looking for a way to prompt the user with a confirm box prior to their selection being made and triggering a postback.

• Phonegap - iOS keyboard is not hiding on outside tap of input field

  On input text focus, keyboard appears as expected. But when I click outside of the input text, keyboard does not hide. I am using java script and jQuery. With jQueryMobile JS and CSS - page behaves correctly. But for this project we are not using jQueryMobile. This problem is only with iOS simulator/device. With Android, it's working perfectly fine. I even tried using document.activeElement.blur(); on outer element click/tap. But then I am unable to focus to input text, because that input text is inside that outer element.

  The difference between connection and read timeout, is that read specifies how long the data connection can be open until it automatically closesc, correct? A connection timeout specifies how long the socket should wait until a connection is established, correct? So if a connection timeout is set to "infinity" what does that really mean? Will it try to establish a connection and if no response is given (as on packets are lost? or port is down?) it will just idle? or will Could someone please explain the basics of network/socket timeouts? and in what situation can a client socket wait infinity?

  Is possible refresh a function every x seconds or refresh it on single event? I explain: I have a function that make pagination on my website, inside every div that are "pages" I have some pictures where I have added LightBox. Everything works nice on the first div (page) but when I change the page it doesnt' work anymore. I tried to fix in this way: $('.pagination a').click(function () { initShadow(); }); In this way it work on the pageLoad and on the first page that I change, than it stop again. So I need to fix this issue, everytime I change the "page" I would like it works fine. Is possible to refresh a function every x second or to refresh it everytime I click on the pagination buttons?

  I am building a portfolio page of different work that has been done and im using two different jquery sliding techniques, one nested in amongst the other one. The first slider works great but the second one doesnmt work that great for the first few and then doesnt work at all. • global static boolean pointer causes segmentation fault using pthread

  New to pthread programming, and stuck on this error when working on a C++&C mixed code. What I have done is to call the c code in the thread created by the c++ code. There is a static boolean pointer used in the thread and should got free when the thread finishes. However I noticed that every time when the program processed into the c function, the value of the boolean pointer would be changed and the segmentation fault then happened due to the free().
