  I have a bit of JSP that does this: <c:import url="/xsl/Transformer.xsl" var="xslt" /> <x:transform doc="${actionBean.dom}" xslt="${xslt}" xsltSystemId="/xsl/"> This transforms the XML exactly as expected so long as Transformer.xsl contains no <xsl:include> tags or so long as any documents it does include do not include anything. However, if I use an XSL which includes a document which in turn includes another document, I get the following error: ERROR: 'Invalid URI 'NestedInclude.xsl Could not resolve entity reference: "NestedInclude.xsl"'.' Note that the JSP is contained in the directory below the xsl documents. If all my XSLs and JSPs are in the same directory (and I remove the xsltSystemId attribute) then everything would work fine, but I don't really want to do this. Can anyone see anything I'm doing wrong, as it's a bit of a killer at the moment and the JSTL documentation is next to useless.

• Improve performance of sorting files by extension

  With a given array of file names, the most simpliest way to sort it by file extension is like this: Array.Sort(fileNames, (x, y) => Path.GetExtension(x).CompareTo(Path.GetExtension(y))); The problem is that on very long list (~800k) it takes very long to sort, while sorting by the whole file name is faster for a couple of seconds! Theoretical, there is a way to optimize it: instead of using Path.GetExtension() and compare the newly created extension-only-strings, we can provide a Comparison than compares starting from the LastIndexOf('.') without creating new strings. Now, suppose i found the LastIndexOf('.'), i want to reuse native .NET's StringComparer and apply it only to the part on string after the LastIndexOf('.'). Didn't found a way to do that. Any ideas?

  I've been asked to develop a system wherein employees can mark on a form their availability on a given day of the week - for instance an employee could mark themselves as available on a given time on a given week, and unavailable on some other time. It looks a little like this: Currently this works by rendering checkboxes within the table, picking up click events in each cell and marking the checkbox and hence the cell appropriately. I'm using the JQuery "click n drag checkbox" plugin from here. However, I've been informed that there could well be more than two states for a given cell (for instance available, unavailable, available in a given circumstance), in which case binding to a checkboxes checked value isnt going to be a lot of help. I've never used javascript or asp.net before and am unsure as to the best way to approach this problem. Ideally I could stick a data structure behind each cell which I could update to a certain state and then get my cell colour by binding to this - however I'm at something as a loss as how to best achieve this.

The source code in the frame starts with "html" instead of "frame". However, when you right click on the window, it shows that it is a frame. So, I think it is a frame instead of a window. However, in Firefox (but not Explorer or Chrome) after you click the button and the text displays, the status bar continues to show "Transferring data from test.development..." which erroneously gives the user the belief that something is still loading. I've noticed that if you click on another Firefox tab and then back on the original one, the message goes away, so it seems to be just a Firefox bug that doesn't clear the status bar automatically. Is there a way to clear the status bar automatically in Firefox? or a way to explicitly tell it that the async loading is finished so it can clear the status bar itself?   Im using wamp server for my php scripts. And Im having difficulties on the logout code. Every time I click on the logout link and then click on the back button on web browser it still shows the page which can only be access by the user who is logged in. I have this code at the beginning of the index.php which is called by the log out link to destroy the session: <?php session_start(); session_destroy(); ?> And I have this at the beginning of the user page: <? session_start(); if(!session_is_registered(myusername)){ header("location:login.php"); } ?> I don't know why the userpage can still be access after the user has logged out. So I'm thinking of disabling the back button when the user has logged out. Please help.

For example my $PATH isn't set correctly and some directories are missing. I'm not quite sure where to start looking. Since all is fine, as long as i'm not in a screen. My dotfiles can be viewed on github. I also use oh-my-zsh — as you will notice.

  I'm trying to implement some basic entities using Hibernate/JPA. Initially the code was deployed on MySQL and was working fine. Now, I'm porting it over to use PostgreSQL. In MySQL, my entity class defines its primary key as an auto-incrementing long value with the following syntax: @Id @GeneratedValue(strategy = GenerationType.AUTO) private Long id; However, I've found that I get errors with PostgreSQL when I try and insert numerous records at a time. What do I need to annotate my primary key with to get the same auto-incrementing behavior in PostgreSQL as I have with MySQL? Thanks for any help you can provide!

  I have a strange problem with a DataGridView I'm using which is bound to a table in VB.net I've added a checkbox column to allow a user to tick a bunch of rows that I can then loop through and save off to a different table. All the checkboxes are enabled by default. So it's really a case of unchecking the rows which aren't required. However, the DataGridView re-enables any checkbox that I click after I click on a checkbox in another row. So in effect, only one row can be unchecked at a time. I'm sure I'm probably missing something obvious here?

In the codebehind for the .ascx page (which I embed as below), I attempt to write a string to a textbox in a method like this: Code for embedding control: Control ctrl = Page.LoadControl("/RackRecable.ascx"); PlaceHolder1.Controls.Add(ctrl); Method to make string for inserting into textbox: string AppendDetails() { StringBuilder sb = new StringBuilder(); sb.Append("msg" + " " + textbox1.Text etc etc ); return sb.ToString(); } Called as (in codebehind event handler for button click): this.TextBox4.Text = AppendDetails(); I call it by using ATextBox.Text = AppendDetails (in the button click event handler). The textbox TextBox4 is in the designer file so I am confused why the text does not get written into this textbox (it is readonly and enabled). When stepping through, the textbox4 control will successfully show the text I want it to display in quick watch but not in the actual page, it won't. Any ideas? Thanks

  I am running an application server on Linux 64bit with 8 core CPUs and 6 GB memory. The server must be highly responsive. After some inspection I found that the application running on the server creates rather a huge amount of short-lived objects, and has only about 200~400 MB long-lived objects(as long as there is no memory leak) After reading http://java.sun.com/javase/technologies/hotspot/gc/gc_tuning_6.html I use these JVM options -Xms2g -Xmx2g -XX:MaxPermSize=256m -XX:NewRatio=1 -XX:+UseConcMarkSweepGC Result: the minor GC takes 0.01 ~ 0.02 sec, the major GC takes 1 ~ 3 sec the minor GC happens constantly. How can I further improve or tune the JVM? larger heap size? but will it take more time for GC? larger NewSize and MaxNewSize (for young generation)? other collector? parallel GC? is it a good idea to let major GC take place more often? and how?

And the one column listing is pretty long too... I was wondering if i can find a command or builtin helping me to display all those values in columns, like the ls command does by default when listing a directory (ls -C). Where it gets more interesting is when I want the top 10 of all the sorted lists. The question is whether there is an algorithm to calculate the combined top 10 having the correct order while cutting off the long tail of the lists. The goal is to reduce the required space. And if there is: How does one find the limit where is is safe to cut? Note: The actual counts are not important. Only the order is.

The server is configured to use pass-through authentication with a built-in account to access the specified physical path. However, IIS Manager cannot verify whether the built-in account has access. Make sure that the application pool identity has Read access to the physical path. If this server is joined to a domain, and the application pool identity is NetworkService or LocalSystem, verify that \$ has Read access to the physical path. Then test these settings again.
