    I have a class that I am using to model my data in MVC. I have added some DataAnotations to mark fields that are required and I am using regular expressions to check valid Email Addresses. Everything works fine if the object is posted back to MVC and I have the ModelState property that I can check to confirm that the class is valid but how do I check to see if the class is valid outside of MVC using the same class and Data Anotations that I have already set up?

  • Creating a tiled map with blender

    I'm looking at creating map tiles based on a 3D model made in blender, The map is 16 x 16 in blender. I've got 4 different zoom levels and each tile is 100 x 100 pixels. The entire map at the most zoomed out level is 4 x 4 tiles constructing an image of 400 x 400. The most zoomed in level is 256 x 256 obviously constructing an image of 25600 x 25600 What I need is a script for blender that can create the tiles from the model. I've never written in python before so I've been trying to adapt a couple of the scripts which are already there. So far I've come up with a script, but it doesn't work very well. I'm having real difficulties getting the tiles to line up seamlessly. I'm not too concerned about changing the height of the camera as I can always create the same zoomed out tiles at 6400 x 6400 images and split the resulting images into the correct tiles.     I'm creating an iPhone app and I'm trying to choose between 2 solutions for a persistent store. Core Data, or SQLitePersistentObjects. Basically, all my app needs is a way to store an array of model objects and then load them again to display in a UITableView. Its nothing too complicated. Core Data seems to have a much higher learning curve than the simple to use SQLitePersistentObjects. Are there any obvious benefits of using Core Data over SQLitePersistentObjects in my case?

  • Cisco ASA: How to route PPPoE-assigned subnet?

    We've just received a fiber uplink, and I'm trying to configure our Cisco ASA 5505 to properly use it. The provider requires us to connect via PPPoE, and I managed to configure the ASA as a PPPoE client and establish a connection. The ASA is assigned an IP address by PPPoE, and I can ping out from the ASA to the internet, but I should have access to an entire /28 subnet. I can't figure out how to get that subnet configured on the ASA, so that I can route or NAT the available public addresses to various internal hosts. My assigned range is: 188.xx.xx.176/28 The address I get via PPPoE is 188.xx.xx.177/32, which according to our provider is our Default Gateway address. They claim the subnet is correctly routed to us on their side. How does the ASA know which range it is responsible for on the Fiber interface? How do I use the addresses from my range? To clarify my config; The ASA is currently configured to default-route to our ADSL uplink on port Ethernet0/0 (interface vlan2, nicknamed Outside). The fiber is connected to port Ethernet0/2 (interface vlan50, nicknamed Fiber) so I can configure and test it before making it the default route. Once I'm clear on how to set it all up, I'll fully replace the Outside interface with Fiber.     I'm trying to enumerate the contents (feature classes and feature datasets, not interested in tables, etc) of a file geodatabase using vba/arcobjects. I have the file GDB set as an IGxDatabase object, but can't find a way of getting further in. I've had a look at the geodatabase object model and tried using IFeatureClass and IFeatureDataset but neither seem to return useful results. Thanks in advance for any assistance

In their example, the data was hard-wired in code. So I'm trying to learn how to get the data from a data source (like a DB). In my specific case, I want to get the data from a Microsoft Access DB.   • How to implement HMVC using Kohana's cascading file system

    Kohana 3.2 was designed to support the HMVC design pattern. The HMVC pattern consists of nested MVC-triads. Yet as far as I can tell, Kohana's cascading file system requires all Models and Controllers to be placed within a top 'classes' directory, and Views into a top 'views' directory. If Model/Controllers are thus separated from Views at the top level of the file system, then how are we supposed to implement nested MVC-triads?

  • ASP.NET MVC2: Can you get ModelMetadata.ContainerType from within a collection?

    I'm trying to call DisplayFor and DisplayForModel to iterate an IEnumerable< with various element types from within a view. I have Templates defined for each element/Model type. What I would like to do is check the ViewData.ModelMetadata.ContainerType from within the Template so that Template can determine if it was called as part of a collection. A simple example: Index1.aspx: To render a collection of Foos. <%@ Page Language="C#" MasterPageFile="~/Views/Shared/Site.Master" Inherits="System.Web.Mvc.ViewPage<IEnumerable<Foo>>" %> <asp:Content ContentPlaceHolderID="MainPlaceHolder" runat="server"> <ul><%:Html.DisplayForModel()%></ul> </asp:Content> Index2.aspx: To render a Foo. <%@ Page Language="C#" MasterPageFile="~/Views/Shared/Site.Master" Inherits="System.Web.Mvc.ViewPage<Foo>" %> <asp:Content ContentPlaceHolderID="MainPlaceHolder" runat="server"> <%:Html.DisplayForModel()%> </asp:Content> Shared\DisplayTemplates\Foo.ascx: A context aware Template for Foo. <%@ Control Language="C#" Inherits="System.Web.Mvc.ViewUserControl<Foo>" %> <% var tag = typeof(IEnumerable).IsAssignableFrom(ViewData.ModelMetaData.ContainerType) ? "li" : "div"; %> <<%:tag%>><%:Model.Name%></<%:tag%>> The problem with this example is that ViewData.ModelMetaData.ContainerType is null in the Template when resolved though Index1.aspx. From what I've read on Brad Wilson post and others it has to do with the use of IEnumerable and its being an interface. Is there a way to insure that the ContainerType is set? Perhaps by creating a ModelMetadataProviders? I looked into that breifly but it appears the ContainerType value is determined before and then passed to the Provider. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    First i gave all values of row in JTAble. While inserting table values into database, I selected all values of row in JTable, using the following model.getValueAt(rowIndex,colIndex); But this method gets all the columns except the last inserted column in a row. If i pressed enter key, after getting all values it done well. How to get all columns in a row with out pressed enter key?
