• How to convert Beautiful Soup Unicode into a decimal value?

  I'm trying to Use python's Beautiful Soup Library to grab a bunch of divs from an html file, and from there get the string - which is a money value - that's inside the div. Then remove the dollar sign and convert it to a decimal so that I can use a greater than and less than conditional statement to compare values. I have googled the heck out of it and can't seem to come up with a way to convert this unicode string into a decimal value. I really could use some help here. How do I convert unicode into a decimal value?   I have a very strange problem. It only shows from time to time, on several devices. Can't seem to reproduce it when I want, but had it so many times, that I think I know where I get it. • Grouped UITableView's cell separator missing when setting backgroundView with an image

  I have a grouped UITableView with a custom UITableViewCell class and I am adding a custom background image to each cell. However, when I do this, the cell's separator is not visible. If simply switch the table style to Plain instead of Grouped, the separator is showing up. I need the grouped table - how do I make the separator show up?   Hi all! WPF is great because there are many things to achieve own goals. By example, for what I understand, adorners can add some controls to a UI element, but I think that the same behavior can be achieved through a custom control that contains the additional element. So, my question is: when should I prefer adorners to a more complex (but I think, more flexible) custom control? Please consider that I'm extensively using MVVM pattern and I would like to bind commands to the additional element. Particularly, I'm designing a diagram designer application and I would like to add connection points to my shapes. Thank you

  I'm having an issue when I try to nest pound signs in my ColdFusion code. I keep getting the following error message: Invalid CFML construct found on line 57 at column 26. ColdFusion was looking at the following text: # Here is the code: <cfloop index="i" from="1" to="12"> <cfset needRecord.setNeed#i#(#form["need#i#"]#) /> </cfloop> If I run the loop outside the cfset tag like this: <cfloop index="i" from="1" to="12"> needRecord.setNeed#i#(#form["need#i#"]#) </cfloop> The code runs and generates what I would like to generate within the cfset tag. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  Hello, I have an input tag. This tag does not have the autocomplete feature turned off, thus, one does not necessarily need to release a key to change the value of this field and focus anotehr one. My question is: how can I detect ANY value changes of this particular field, like e. g. <input onvaluechange="//do following..." /> The JavaScritp attribute onchange does not fire on change of value, only on changes like blur, focus, etc... The extra field in the intent is being left behind. Is this a bug or an intended behavior?

  I want to embed a search box to allow my website users to search images using google images search (not only images in my website, but general images search). However, I don't want an Iframe of something similar, but to present a custom list of the images and links in the format I chose. Ideally, I could get the links to the thumbnails to the in JSON. From what I have found so far, it seems that google no longer supports it's API: https://developers.google.com/image-search/ I am familiar with google custom search, but as far as I know, I can't control exactly how it will be presented. • I have a ConnectException that isn't being caught for some reason

  I'm working on an Android application that uses sockets. I have a function called initializeStreams() which opens the socket and attempts a connection. This function throws a ConnectException if the connection could not be established. But for some reason, in the code that calls initializeStreams(), which has a catch block for ConnectException, the log prints out its own stack trace for the exception instead of going to the catch block. The catch block is never reached at all, even though the exact exception is being thrown. • Display two images side by side on an HTML Page

  I am trying to place two images of the same size side-by-side. If I use a "table" then I am able to display both images side-by-side. But in my CSS Stylesheet I am using a custom format for the table and this shows on the page containing the images too. But I want to just display both images without any custom background or border etc. I tried using "div", "span", "ul" & "li" etc. but failed in each case. How can I place two images (of same size) in a single line, without using a "table"? If I have to use "table" for the same, then how can I use two (or more) different formatting for my tables using CSS? Thank you. Lalit Kumar Barik

• H1 tags, SEO and semantics

  Hi guys, I'm using the H1 tag in my document as the main title, as you do. The text in the H1 is the title of the company, which needs to be shown on every page. I'm using the H2 tag for the title of the main content on each page. So the H1 is the same on every page, and the H2 changes. I know that a lot of sites use the H1 to do what I'm doing with the H2, am I losing out by not doing this? I know that semantically I can't make the H1 into a H2 and vice versa, so I'm wondering what the best option is. Does it matter that my H1 is always the same? Any advice is appreciated! Thanks! The original ix is the thumbnail ix of a product on a category page. The small ix I am clicking on are swatch ix for the different colors of a product. I can get it to work using a div tag around the ix tag inside the ItemTemplate. • Event is causing an error, but I can't catch the exception

  A developer has created a custom control in ASP.NET using VB.NET. The custom control uses a repeater. In certain scenarios, the rpt_ItemDataBound event is encountering a data error. My goal is rather than having the user see the yellow screen of death, give the user a friendlier error explaining exactly what the data error is. I figured I would be able to use a Try/Catch block as shown below throw the exception, however, it appears that the event has nowhere to be thrown to and stops executing at the "End Try" line. Protected Sub rpt_ItemDataBound(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.Web.UI.WebControls.RepeaterItemEventArgs) Handles rpt1.ItemDataBound, rpt2.ItemDataBound Try ProcessBadData...   Question: In the path HUDSON_HOME/jobs/<jobname>/builds/<timestamp>/workspace-files, there are a series of .tmp files. What are these files, and what feature of Hudson do they support? Background Using Hudson version 1.341, we have a continuous build task that runs on a slave instance. After the build is otherwise complete, including archiving the artifacts, task scanner, etc., the job appears to hang for a long period of time. In monitoring the master node, I noted that many .tmp files were being created and modified under builds//workspace=files, and that some of them were very large. This appears to be causing the delay, as the job completed at the same time that files in this path stopped changing. Some key configuration points of the job: It is tied to a specific slave node It builds in a 'custom workspace' It triggers a downstream job that builds in the same custom workspace on the same slave node

• Is it possible to prevent iPhone/iPad orientation changing in the browser?

  I've seen similar questions on this issue, but they are related to native apps. I build web apps for the iPhone/iPad that run in the browser (Safari). I was wondering if there is a way to prevent orientation change in the browser, perhaps via some meta tag. I know of the viewport meta tag which allows you to specify scale and zooming capabilities, so figured maybe there is something similar for orientation. I doubt it is possible, but I thought I'd just pop a question on here to see.

• How to pass an int value on UIButton click inside UITableView

  So I have a view controller with a single UITableView that shows a string to the user. But I needed a way to have the user select this object by id using a normal UIButton so I added it as a subview and the click event works as expected. The issue is this - how can I pass an int value to this click event? I've tried using attributes of the button like button.tag or button.accessibilityhint without much success. How do the professionals pass an int value like this? Also it's important that I can get the actual [x intValue] from the int later in the process. A while back I thought I could do this with a simple NSLog(@"the actual selected hat was %d", [obj.idValue intValue]); But this doesn't appear to work (any idea how I can pull the actual int value directly from the variable?).
