• Rails nested URL question

  Hi Im having issues with RESTful URLs in Rails. I have site.com/services url, and I want to have subpages under that category, thats it: site.com/services/arquitecture, site.com/services/plumbing, etc. The pages that im serving under that category are "static" .rhtml files and I would want them to be on the same controller. Is there a way of doing this? I've tried nested resources but I find it hard to fully understand. Thanks

Eg, If i determine that the address im using in the workbook is America the workbooks currency will be set to dollars. What is the benefit of setting the -Xms parameter, and having the initial memory larger for example, then the default calculated one (64 MB in my case, according to Java GC tunning: http://java.sun.com/javase/technologies/hotspot/gc/gc_tuning_6.html#par_gc.ergonomics.default_size)? • Why is my ASP.NET app slow the first time after building a class library?

Whenever I rebuild the class library and then refresh the page, it takes ages the first time, and is then quick again subsequently. It's almost as if the newly rebuilt dll is having to 'bed in' to the app. Can anyone tell me what's really going on behind the scenes? Thanks David

  My Application having TreePanel Element and I have to select the root node at the begining to add child node underit.   I'm currently having some assembly binding problems on our development server. I want to investigate the problem a bit further with Fusion Log Viewer. Since there is no Visual Studio installed on the machine, I copied FUSLOGVW.EXE to a local folder and started it there. Is this supposed to work or does it need something else? I don't get the impression the application is logging any failures (and yes I have the settings right).

• How do you send a HEAD HTTP request in Python?

  So what I'm trying to do here is get the headers of a given URL so I can determine the mime-type. I want to be able to see if http://somedomain/foo/ will return an html document or a jpg image for example. Thus, I need to figure out how to send a HEAD request so that I can read the mime-type without having to download the content. Does anyone know of an easy way of doing this?
