  • SQL Reporting Services 2005 - Date field based on a user entered date?

    - by Pierce
    Hi, I have a report in report services 2005 that has two date fields. The problem is that if users run this for a large section of time it uses too much resources on our server. It is possible to only allow the end user to enter the start date and then the end date be auto populated/derived from this field (for example they enter the 1st of a month and this automatically change the end date to the last of a month.)

  • Tracking image views - PHP

    - by RS7
    I'd like for my app to be able to tell if an image hasn't been viewed in the last 30 days and remove it (along with data in the DB associated with it). I know you can have PHP read and output the image dynamically but I've heard its quite taxing on the system. Is there a way to for me to track these hits even when the image is viewed directly? (would htaccess be able to do this?) Thanks in advance.

  • How To Get YEARWEEK() To See Sunday As The Start Of The Week?

    - by tan
    I'm trying to get the YEARWEEK function to see Sunday as the 1st day of the week. An example date is: Sunday 1st Mar 2009 Here is my sql SELECT YEARWEEK('2009-03-01') and the result is - 200909 Which is week 9. I believe it is telling me this is week 9 because it sees the sunday as the last day of the previous week. How would I get this function to see sunday as the 1st day of the week and therefore return as week 10?

  • Local-only version of `hg outgoing`?

    - by Grumdrig
    The command hg outgoing compares the local repo to the default push location; it accesses the push location to do it. I'd like to ask the question "have I checked in changes in my local repo since my last hg push?" without having to access the remote repo. It seems like there might be enough info in the local repo to figure that out; if so, is there a command to determine that?

  • C++ Primer vs. Thinking in C++?

    - by Oszkar
    I've worked with C++ in the last few years but never went through a book covering all the basics. I've recently read Effective C++, but I feel it would be very important for me to read a more fundamental book as well. Which one would be more recommended? C++ Primer or Thinking in C++?

  • [JAVA] Activity Stream- Producing X amount of objects in a panel on app load

    - by Matthew De'Loughry
    Hi guys, Just wondering if you could help wanting to produce an activity stream in Java, the idea was to have a JLabel and text area followed by a divider be displayed on a screen and then repeated X amount of times according to what data was in a database. What I was wondering is how could I possibly repeat the placing the jlabel, text area, and diveder on the screen above the last rendered objects on the fly and all displayed correctly no matter the size of the text area of each set of object sort of like the image below. Hope I made it clear as I could thanks
