  • Django and mod_python intermittent error?

    I have a Django site at http://sm.rutgers.edu/relive/af_api/index/. It is supposed to display "Home of the relive APIs". If you refresh this page many times, you can see different renderings. 1) The expected page. 2) Django "It worked!" page. 3) "ImportError at /index/" page. If you scroll down enough to ROOT_URLCONF part, you will see it says 'relive.urls'. But apparently, it should be 'af_api.urls', which is in my settings.py file. Since these results happen randomly, is it possible that either Django or mod_python is working unstably?

  • Password protected .NET ClickOnce deployment?

    How can I protect a ClickOnce deployed application with a password? Do I have to change the IIS settings of the web or is there a way to do it programmatically? I'm using Visual Studio 2005 (.NET 2.0). If I have to use web credentials, are auto-updates of the application still possible? Would be great if you could provide some sample code or detailed instructions for administering IIS. Thank you!

  • Is it possible to use re2 from Python?

    i just discovered http://code.google.com/p/re2, a promising library that uses a long-neglected way (Thompson NFA) to implement a regular expression engine that can be orders of magnitudes faster than the available engines of awk, Perl, or Python. so i downloaded the code and did the usual sudo make install thing. however, that action had seemingly done little more than adding /usr/local/include/re2/re2.h to my system. there seemed to be some `*.a file in addition, but then what is it with this *.a extension? i would like to use re2 from Python (preferrably Python 3.1) and was excited to see files like make_unicode_groups.py in the distro (maybe just used during the build process?). those however were not deployed on my machine. how can i use re2 from Python?

    Hi, I need to call a function from a python script and pass in parameters into it. I have a test python script which I can call and run from java using Jepp - this then adds the person. Eg Test.py import Finding from Finding import * f = Finding() f.addFinding("John", "Doe", 27) Within my Finding class I have addFinding(firstname, lastName, age) However, I wish to be able to do this from within java. Should I be using the jep.invoke() method. Does anyone have a hello world example of such a thing being done or forward me to some good examples? Does anyone have any suggestions please?     Hi Stack Overflow users, I've encountered a frustrating problem, can't find the answer to it. Yesterday I was trying to find a way to HIDE a subprocess.Popen. So for example, if i was opening the cmd. I would like it to be hidden, permanently. I found this code: kwargs = {} if subprocess.mswindows: su = subprocess.STARTUPINFO() su.dwFlags |= subprocess.STARTF_USESHOWWINDOW su.wShowWindow = subprocess.SW_HIDE kwargs['startupinfo'] = su subprocess.Popen("cmd.exe", **kwargs) It worked like a charm! But today, for reasons I don't need to get into, I had to reinstall python 3 (32bit) Now, when I run my program I get this error: Traceback (most recent call last): File "C:\Python31\hello.py", line 7, in <module> su.dwFlags |= subprocess.STARTF_USESHOWWINDOW AttributeError: 'module' object has no attribute 'STARTF_USESHOWWINDOW' I'm using 32bit, python3.1.3 ... just like before. If you have any clues/alternatives PLEASE post, thanks. NOTE: I am looking for a SHORT method to hide the app, not like two pages of code please

    I'm looking to create AVDs to test my apps on, and i'm trying to figure out the correct settings for a square screen such as the new Motorola Flip Out. I don't see a wikipedia article for it, or many specs... On a related note, what about tablets? Actually.. Why aren't there a set of AVD instances with params from popular devices.. or at least a site that lists them for each of the 60+ devices. Thanks in advance :)

Session.Add("SessionName", List); In the Controller I build a viewModel with the data from this session var arrayList = (List<Item>)Session["SessionName"]; var arrayListItems= new List<CartItem>(); foreach (var item in arrayList) { var listItem = new Item { Amount = item.Amount, Variant= item.variant, Id = item.Id }; arrayListItems.Add(listItem); } var viewModel = new DetailViewModel { itemList = arrayListItems } and in my View I loop trough the list of Items and make a form for all of them to be able to remove the item. <table> <%foreach (var Item in Model.itemList) { %> <% using (Html.BeginForm()) { %> <tr> <td><%=Html.Hidden(Settings.Prefix + ".VariantId", Item .Variant.Id)%> <td> <%=Html.TextBox(Settings.Prefix + ".Amount", Item.Amount)%></td> <td> <%=Html.Encode(Item.Amount)%> </td> <td> <input type="submit" value="Remove" /> </td> </tr> <% } %> <% } %> </table> When the post from the submit button is handeld the item is removed from the array and post back exactly the same viewModel (with 1 item less in the itemList). return View("view.ascx", viewModel); When the post is handled and the view has reloaded the value's of the html.Hidden and Html.Textbox are the value's of the removed item. The value of the html.Encode is the correct value. When i reload the page the correct values are in the fields. Both times i build the viewModel the exact same way. I cant find the cause or solution of this error. I would be very happy with any help to solve this problem Thanx in advance for any tips or help

    Hi, I'm helping a friend transfer a site to a new server who uses Actinic to run a small catalogue of items. I've transferred the files over to the new server, but I need to change a few configuration settings for Actinic, as the old server stored files in /public_html But the new one uses /httpdocs Does anyone know which files I need to edit to do this?     When iam creating directory using sytem as user create directory emp_dir1 AS "'C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Desktop\vin.txt"; vin.txt is my file it creates it. same when i do using user Scott it gives an error for path of file that "Identifier is too long" but when i put this file path in single quotes instead of double quotes for scott, it creates it. What is the reason behind?

    Hello everyone. I am using wxPython and Py2exe to create my application and my only problem is loading for example bitmaps. Ok so lets say I want to add an image to my application, and thats fairly easy using wxPython, and lets say it is on the same directory of my .py so for example: image = wx.StaticBitmap(self, -1, wx.Bitmap('image.bmp') Now, this works obviously fine, problem is when I convert to Py2exe, I would like to use the resources from the dlls that I included in the Py2Exe compilation. So basically what I want to do is to instead of including the images on the same folder as my application in order to work, I would like to use it from the resources so people won't see the images on the folder.

There's always a missing paren somewhere. Should I use a proper parser, maybe a CFG?   • is there a way to disconnect from facebook login without calling logout

    Basically, I'd like to know how I can logout of my facebook session if I am in an iphone app and have connected to facebook (such that I do not have to repeatedly enter my login/password). Normally you'd disconnect in the app somewhere like in the options, but if this is not available (i.e. anything that triggers the FBSession logout method) is there some other way to do it? I'm guessing one could restore their phone to factory settings or something.

  • Is displayMetrix xdpi and ydpi accurate?

    Can the xdpi and ydpi settings be relied upon to accurately represent the physical pixels in once inch of screen space? I need this to be accurate for some display code I'm writing. I realize the documention says that this is the case, but I need to know if individual handsets get this right MOST OF THE TIME. I know I can alternately use "densitiy" which will give me 120, 160, 240 steps of DPI, but an exact dpi would be much better. Thanks!
