  I have: a service running under user account domainA\userA on hostA from domainA SPNs created for the service running on hostA for user account domainA\userA a client part of my application is trying to access resources (through remoting) from the service running on hostA but this client part is running on hostB from domainB and under the user account domainB\userB appropriate delegation settings are done for user account domainA\userA trusted for delegation SPNs set properly with no duplicates domainA and domainB have two way trust I get this error: A secuity package specific error occured: Unspecified error (0x80004005) Could you please see if there is any authentication setting I missed?

• Django and mod_python intermittent error?

  I have a Django site at http://sm.rutgers.edu/relive/af_api/index/. It is supposed to display "Home of the relive APIs". If you refresh this page many times, you can see different renderings. 1) The expected page. 2) Django "It worked!" page. 3) "ImportError at /index/" page. If you scroll down enough to ROOT_URLCONF part, you will see it says 'relive.urls'. But apparently, it should be 'af_api.urls', which is in my settings.py file. Since these results happen randomly, is it possible that either Django or mod_python is working unstably?

• AVD properties for Motorola Flipout?

  I'm looking to create AVDs to test my apps on, and i'm trying to figure out the correct settings for a square screen such as the new Motorola Flip Out. I don't see a wikipedia article for it, or many specs... On a related note, what about tablets? Actually.. Why aren't there a set of AVD instances with params from popular devices.. or at least a site that lists them for each of the 60+ devices. Thanks in advance :)

• (re)mounting the SD card on android emulator

  On the emulator, I can unmount the SD card from the Settings. On OSX, I can then mount it using hdiutil, then unmount it normally. I haven't been able to figure out how to re-mount it then on the emulator (without rebooting it). hints: the adb command remount is unrelated: it's about /system the emulator command is unrelated: it's only about starting the emulator mounting the SD card on OSX without unmounting it from the emulator causes horrible pain to the emulator

• Exposing classes inside modules within a Python package directly in the package's namespace

  I have a wxPython application with the various GUI classes in their own modules in a package called gui. With this setup, importing the main window would be done as follows: from gui.mainwindow import MainWindow This looked messy to me so I changed the __init__.py file for the gui package to import the class directly into the package namespace: from mainwindow import MainWindow This allows me to import the main window like this: from gui import MainWindow This looks better to me aesthetically and I think it also more closely represents what I'm doing (importing the MainWindow class from the gui "namespace"). The reason I made the gui package was to keep all the GUI stuff together. I could have just as easily made a single gui module and stuffed all the GUI classes in it, but I think that would have been unmanageable. The package now appears to work like a module, but allows me to separate the classes into their own modules (along with helper functions, etc.). This whole thing strikes me as somewhat petty, I just thought I'd throw it out there to see what others think about the idea.

• Using jep.invoke() method

  Hi, I need to call a function from a python script and pass in parameters into it. I have a test python script which I can call and run from java using Jepp - this then adds the person. Eg Test.py import Finding from Finding import * f = Finding() f.addFinding("John", "Doe", 27) Within my Finding class I have addFinding(firstname, lastName, age) However, I wish to be able to do this from within java. Should I be using the jep.invoke() method. Does anyone have a hello world example of such a thing being done or forward me to some good examples? Does anyone have any suggestions please?   Hi Stack Overflow users, I've encountered a frustrating problem, can't find the answer to it. Yesterday I was trying to find a way to HIDE a subprocess.Popen. So for example, if i was opening the cmd. I would like it to be hidden, permanently. I found this code: kwargs = {} if subprocess.mswindows: su = subprocess.STARTUPINFO() su.dwFlags |= subprocess.STARTF_USESHOWWINDOW su.wShowWindow = subprocess.SW_HIDE kwargs['startupinfo'] = su subprocess.Popen("cmd.exe", **kwargs) It worked like a charm! But today, for reasons I don't need to get into, I had to reinstall python 3 (32bit) Now, when I run my program I get this error: Traceback (most recent call last): File "C:\Python31\hello.py", line 7, in <module> su.dwFlags |= subprocess.STARTF_USESHOWWINDOW AttributeError: 'module' object has no attribute 'STARTF_USESHOWWINDOW' I'm using 32bit, python3.1.3 ... just like before.   When iam creating directory using sytem as user create directory emp_dir1 AS "'C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Desktop\vin.txt"; vin.txt is my file it creates it. same when i do using user Scott it gives an error for path of file that "Identifier is too long" but when i put this file path in single quotes instead of double quotes for scott, it creates it. What is the reason behind?

  I have a html page displayed using... cherrypy.quickstart(ShowHTML(htmlfile), config=configfile) Once the page is loaded (eg. initiated via. the command 'python mypage.py'), I would like to automatically launch the browser to display the page (eg. via. http://localhost/8000).   i just discovered http://code.google.com/p/re2, a promising library that uses a long-neglected way (Thompson NFA) to implement a regular expression engine that can be orders of magnitudes faster than the available engines of awk, Perl, or Python. so i downloaded the code and did the usual sudo make install thing. however, that action had seemingly done little more than adding /usr/local/include/re2/re2.h to my system. there seemed to be some `*.a file in addition, but then what is it with this *.a extension? i would like to use re2 from Python (preferrably Python 3.1) and was excited to see files like make_unicode_groups.py in the distro (maybe just used during the build process?). those however were not deployed on my machine. how can i use re2 from Python?

The value of the html.Encode is the correct value. When i reload the page the correct values are in the fields. Both times i build the viewModel the exact same way. I cant find the cause or solution of this error. I would be very happy with any help to solve this problem Thanx in advance for any tips or help

  When I am deploying certain vendor EAR file to Sun App Server, I encountered a connection timeout errror. I thought the reason might be proxy settings need to be defined so I actually defined the following -Dhttp.proxyHost=hostname -Dhttp.proxyPassword=password -Dhttp.proxyPort=8080 -Dhttp.proxyUser=username After setting these and restart domain then redeploy I encountered 407 error. Anyone have any idea what could be the issue here?

  Hello everyone. I am using wxPython and Py2exe to create my application and my only problem is loading for example bitmaps. Ok so lets say I want to add an image to my application, and thats fairly easy using wxPython, and lets say it is on the same directory of my .py so for example: image = wx.StaticBitmap(self, -1, wx.Bitmap('image.bmp') Now, this works obviously fine, problem is when I convert to Py2exe, I would like to use the resources from the dlls that I included in the Py2Exe compilation. So basically what I want to do is to instead of including the images on the same folder as my application in order to work, I would like to use it from the resources so people won't see the images on the folder.

• is there a way to disconnect from facebook login without calling logout

  Basically, I'd like to know how I can logout of my facebook session if I am in an iphone app and have connected to facebook (such that I do not have to repeatedly enter my login/password). Normally you'd disconnect in the app somewhere like in the options, but if this is not available (i.e. anything that triggers the FBSession logout method) is there some other way to do it?
