For clearly a give a example : Texchunks :" in particular in domain and range in some " So have 8 token : in,particular,in,domain, and, range,in,some i want update attribute frequency for token : in this example when i get attribute frequency of token "in" must return 3 it mean when i call : get frequency of Texchunks when dislay : in 3 particular 1 in 3 domain 1 and 1 range 1 in 3 some 1 here my code : public TextChunks updateFrequencyOfTokenInTextChunks (TextChunks tc) throws CloneNotSupportedException { TextChunks result = (TextChunks) tc.clone(); for (int i =0 ; i< result.arrt.size() ; i++ ){ int j=i+1; if (result.arrt.get(i).compareTwoToken(result.arrt.get(j))== true ) { // help here how to update attribute result.arrt.get(i) // and result.arrt.get(J) = ++ and } } return tc; } Thanks in advandce

  • Java Hibernate session delete of object

    - by user2535201
I'm really struggling with hibernate sessions, I never have the result I expect when making a query on a modified session object. I think all my problems are related. The last one is the following : final Session iSession = AbstractDAO.getSessionFactory().openSession(); try { iSession.beginTransaction(); MyObject iObject = DAOMyObject.getInstance().get(iSession,ObjectId); iObject.setQuantity(0); //previously the quantity was different from zero DAOMyObject.getInstance().update(iSession,iObject); DAOMyObject.getInstance().deleteObjectWithZeroQuantities(iSession); iSession.getTransaction().commit(); } catch (final Exception aException) { iSession.getTransaction().rollback(); logger.error(aException.getMessage(), aException); throw aException; } finally { iSession.close(); } What I'm not getting is why the object is not deleted, since I'm modified it in the session, the query making the delete should find it. I had the same problem with creating an object with an incremental id in a session, then creating another one in the same session before the commit, with a select max(id)+1. But the session gets me the same number of id every time.

  • Intercommunication between Java Chat Servers

    - by Pravingate
I have a application in which I am using socket programming , having this(image) scenario. Where number of clients will try to connect Broadcast server. Now here I am managing load through LVS(Load balancer). so as a example shown in image, suppose 200 clients will wish to login for broadcast they will be distributed as 100 users on server 1 and another 100 users on server 2.clients will get connected to servers using TCP connection. Now I am maintaining user information on server side in arraylist which will be stored in heap memory,Now the problem is if client wish to broadcast to all logged in users, but that particular client is logged in server 1. and so client will not be able to broadcast another 100 users from server 2. Because both ther servers are unaware about each others state. please suggest to solve this scenario by whatever means you want.

  • Java- screen capture behind the application.

    - by Auxiliary
Is there a way to capture the screen but without the app itself getting shown. I know how to minimize or make a frame invisible but this has to be done real fast cos it's going to happen alot in each second (at least once every second). I want it to look something like the magnifier in Windows Vista/7. (The app can see behind itself.) Thanks in advance.

  • Proper usage of Java Weak Reference in case of nested collections

    - by Tong Wang
I need to define a weak reference Map, whose value is a Set. I use Google collections' MapMaker, like this: Map<Class<? extends Object>, Set<Foo>> map = new MapMaker().weakKeys().weakValues().makeMap(); So, for Set<Foo>, can I use a normal HashSet? Or, do I have to create a weak HashSet, like this: Collections.newSetFromMap(new WeakHashMap<Foo, Boolean>()); And why? Another question, the key of my map is Class objects, when will a Class object become weakly reachable? In other words, what is the lifetime of a Class object? Thanks.

  • Using java abstract class

    - by user969131
In my UI project, I have few screens that share the same header style only the text is specific to the screens. What will be a good way to implement this? Have the super class create all the header component and open the components to the sub class, the sub class will access to component's setText method to update the text? or Have abstract method in super class to create the components, sub class will implement these methods to create the component. Hope it make sense..

  • Method-Object pairs in Java

    - by John Manak
I'd like to create a list of method-object pairs. Each method is a function returning a boolean. Then: foreach(pair) { if method evaluates to true { do something with the object } } One way of modelling this that I can think of is to have a class Constraint with a method isValid() and for each constraint produce an anonymous class (overriding the isValid() method). I feel like there could be a nicer way. Can you think of any?

  • Freeing Java memory at a specific point in time

    - by Marcus
Given this code, where we load a lot of data, write it to a file, and then run an exe.. void myMethod() { Map stuff = createMap(); //Consumes 250 MB memory File file = createFileInput(stuff); //Create input for exe runExectuable(file); //Run Windows exe } What is the best way to release the memory consumed by stuff prior to running the exe? We don't need this in memory any more as we have dumped the data to a file for input to the exe... Is the best method to just set stuff = null prior to runExecutable(file)?

  • Java: JGraphT: Iterate through nodes

    - by Rosarch
    I'm trying to iterate through all nodes, so I can print them out for graphviz. What is the best way to do that using the JGraphT library? public static void main(String[] args) { UndirectedGraph<String, DefaultEdge> g = new SimpleWeightedGraph<String, DefaultEdge>(DefaultEdge.class); String odp = "ODP"; String cck = "CCK"; String mfe = "MFE"; g.addVertex(odp); g.addVertex(cck); g.addVertex(mfe); g.addEdge(odp, cck); g.addEdge(odp, mfe); } Also, how do I add edge weights? Edit: This seems to work pretty well. But is there a better way? Set<DefaultEdge> edges = g.edgeSet(); for (DefaultEdge e : edges) { gv.addln(String.format("\"%s\" -> \"%s\"", g.getEdgeSource(e), g.getEdgeTarget(e))); }

  • Java - Handling Non-Blocking Calls

    - by sarav
In my application I am using a third-party API. It is a non-blocking method which returns immediately. I have a collection of elements over which I have to invoke this method. Now, my problem is that I have to find a way till all the method execution gets completed and do my next operation. How can I handle this? I cannot modify the third-party API. In short it looks like this for(Object object: objects){ methodA(object); //this is a non-blocking call and returns immediately } // here I want to do my next task only after all the methodA calls completed execution

    - by Pierre
Hi all, I want to code two JList (categories and items). When I click one category it should select all the items for that category and when I click on one item it should select its categories. So both JList will have a ListSelectionListener listening at each other and changing the selection. Should I fear about some a of "loop" ? Is there a way to tell that an Event has been consumed ? how do people manage that kind of situation ? Thanks

  • Connection and Collection Interfaces in Java

    - by Bhupi
Which class implements all the Connection Interfaces which are in javax.microedition.io package and how? And in the same way which class implements the some of Collection interfaces like Iterator interface. I saw a code: - Iterator it; ArrayList list = new ArrayList(); it = list.iterator(); The iterator() return type is "Iterator" which is an interface. Please tell me what this code is doing is it returning an object of type Iterator? but as far as I know, interface can't be initialized.
