  I was trying to fetch remote notification info when the app was not running,so I was told that I can get from : UILocalNotification *localNotification = [launchOptions objectForKey:UIApplicationLaunchOptionsRemoteNotificationKey] in method: - (BOOL)application:(UIApplication *)application didFinishLaunchingWithOptions:(NSDictionary *)launchOptions ,but still can't get info. Then I use alertView to show the info on iPhone(launch without Xcode),still can't get the info. Any other issue would cause this? Please let me know if you have any ideas.

  Hi everyone, I'm reading O'reilly's Learning iPhone Programming and on page 79 it says I have to create a new file (UIViewController subclass) and thick the checkbox to ask Xcode to generate an associated NIB file. The problem is: I do not have this option in my XCode 3.1 (this options is from XCode 3.2). So, I have to do it manually, and I don't know how. Could someone please help me? Thanks in advance!

• How do I calculate the average direction of two vectors

  Hi, I am writing and opengl based iphone app and would like to allow a user to translate around a view based on the direction that they move two fingers on the screen. For one finger I know I could just calculate the vector from the start position to the current position of the users finger and then find the unit vector of this to get just the direction, but I don't know how I would do this for two fingers, I don't think adding the components of the vectors and calculating the average would work so I'm pretty much stuck... thanks in advance

• Missing Localized Screenshots Error on itunes

  I have selected Default Language as "Australian English" as Default language. When I am submitting the binary it showing as rejected"Red Icon" with status "Missing Localized Screenshots". The application is in only single language. I have added screen shots also the application is only for iphone.   Hi, guys! Hopefully a quick one. Working on a devious little algorithm that'll automatically scan a user's iPhone for a photo of some emotional poignance (e.g. go back in time a ways, look for one of a group of photos that are proximally timestamped, etc.). Need a quick-and-dirty way of picking out a photo containing two people in close proximity to each other. I know that the OpenCV Python lib [for image processing] works on the iPhone, I'm just curious whether it's actually the best way of doing this (from scratch or otherwise). Cheers!

• Stack Info button above UIView in Utility App

  I've started creating a iPhone Utility app (main view and flip view). I want to draw some graphics in the Main view, so I dragged a UIView object onto it. This works, but I find that if I resize the UIView to fill the Main view, it covers the Info button that invokes the Flip view. Is there any way to get the Info button to appear on top of the UIView? In IB? In code?

  The Twitter app is a tab bar app on the iPhone. Nothing in any of the tabs will rotate, yet, when you click on a link from a tweet, the view controller that is pushed on top of it IS allowed to rotate. The only rotations I have ever doe is from tilting the device, landscape or portrait, but I don't understand how to use 2d transformations and animations to rotate views. How do you rotate any view with that's a subclass of UIView?

  I am using libxml2 to parse xml content in my iPhone app. The xml content is downloaded from a server similar to the Apple's own TopSongs sample app. When I check for leaks using the Instruments tool, I see memory leaks being reported on xmlNewParserCtxt, xmlNewInputStream and xmlAllocParserInputBuffer. I have called xmlFreeParserCtxt(context) at applicable places (dealloc). Am I missing something else ? Is this a known issue to contend with when using libxml2 parsers ?
