  • CompilationMode=Never & SessionState

    - by Nariman
It seems that CompilationMode=Never doesn't permit Sessions to be properly wired. It first complains that the EnbaleSessionState directive is not allowed on this page. Explicitly assigning the System.Web.SessionState.IRequiresSessionState to the Page [1] avoids the null reference exceptions (around .Session access) but still doesn't persist or wire-up sessions correctly. Has anyone successfully used ASP.NET Sessions with CompilationMode=Never? Conceptually, why should these be disjoint?? • Intellisense not working in visual studio 6?

    - by Dabblernl
As I experienced a sudden nostalgic longing for the VB6 of old, I downloaded visual studio 6 from my msdn subscription. To revive my rusty knowledge I very much would like to have intellisense working, but it does not! Is this a known problem with VS6 on Windows 7? I do have the autocomplete option on in the Options menu.

  • Why is my Platform environment variable defined as 'BNB'?

    - by Scott Langham
Hi, Something, maybe the windows sdk or visual studio installer, has defined the Platform environment variable and given it the value BNB. What does BNB mean, and why is Platform set to BNB? Thanks. I've seen this, but it doesn't answer my question: http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/msbuild/thread/1d229d75-aa89-42bf-809b-ef98f42072bb

  • Azure and native code

    - by bertelmonster2k
It looks like you can host native code on Azure: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd573362.aspx. Is it possible to run a socket server (listening tcp/udp) here? And even hosting a CLR on top?

  • Access Services and SharePoint 2010 - Need Info

    - by Mayo
I've been asked to research the ability to publish Access solutions directly to SharePoint as demonstrated in the demo below. http://channel9.msdn.com/shows/Access/Microsoft-Access-2010-Demo/ I'm going to keep searching via Google / Bing - but I thought I'd check here to see if anyone has any good links to information on this feature. At first glance it seems like I'm getting alot of brief blog entries with links to the SP2009 conference or to the above video.

  • Powershell .CopyHere if it already exists work around

    - by Bruce227
Hi, I run the following to unzip and want to over write the current files if they exist but the microsoft solution found here(http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms723207%28VS.85%29.aspx) doesn't seem to work. I haven't found anything that says it works so is there a work around to select the 'yes to all' option? $zipPackage = (new-object -com shell.application).NameSpace($zipfilename) $destinationFolder = (new-object -com shell.application).NameSpace($destination) $destinationFolder.CopyHere($zipPackage.Items(),16) Thanks

  • What is IE's Maximum Parallel Connection Accross All Hosts

    - by timeitquery
Based on the IE documentation on MSDN IE 8 supports up to 6 parallel connections per server and IE 6,7 support 2. What is the upper limit of parallel connections accross all the hosts? So if I have 60 hosts, 8 requests per host, so 360 requests in the HTML page - does it mean that IE 8 will have 360 connection in parallel and IE 6 or 7 would have 120? (ignoring the html rendering time, and if call is blocking or not)

  • SQL Server Reporting Services: creating a Pareto chart

    - by william
I am trying to create a Pareto Chart in SQL Server Reporting Service 2005. I created a chart, but having difficulties in trying to get my cumulative(line) to display. I listed my values below. =SUM(Fields!Total_SR.Value)/MAX(Fields!Total_SR.Value, "SeriesGroup")*0.75 cumulative value: =RunningValue(Fields!Total_SR, Sum, "SeriesGroup") / Sum(Fields!Total_SR, "SeriesGroup") I am able to get the Bar to display. This is the instructions I used: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa964128(SQL.90).aspx

  • How to use OUTPUT statement inside a SQL trigger?

    - by Jeff Meatball Yang
From MSDN: If a statement that includes an OUTPUT clause is used inside the body of a trigger, table aliases must be used to reference the trigger inserted and deleted tables to avoid duplicating column references with the INSERTED and DELETED tables associated with OUTPUT. Can someone give me an example of this? I'm not sure if this is correct: create trigger MyInterestingTrigger on TransactionalTable123 AFTER insert, update, delete AS declare @batchId table(batchId int) insert SomeBatch (batchDate, employeeId) output SomeBatch.INSERTED.batchId into @batchId insert HistoryTable select b.batchId, i.col1, i.col2, i.col3 from TransactionalTable123.inserted i cross join @batchId b
