• Directly printing to remote CUPS/IPP server on Snow Leopard

  I need to use Kerberos authentication when printing from my OSX machine, however, the machine itself does not have a service account in active directory, so the KDC will not issue a delegation ticket for the local CUPS installation. I think printing could work if the printing framework would directly print to the network CUPS server (or even to the Windows print server), bypassing the local CUPS. Is it possible to setup printing so that it directly accesses the remote print server? (asking for a service ticket for that server would succeed)

  We have configured a SMTP server on IIS. We have not configured any SPF rule. Some emails are going straight to the badmail folder. Most of them have this error message: Address does not pass the Sender Policy Framework Is there any way to disable that? I know this is insecure and spammers could use it to send spam, but I really need it to be disabled for now until I have configured and tested the SPF correctly.

I don't know anything about VFP in particular, but as it is SQL, there should be a way of opening an SQL console, or maybe an vfpdump utility. How can I do that? The application does not support the copy operation if multiple files are selected in the listbox, but at the same time, the application supports 'drag and drop' event for multiple files (allows dragging the files 'out of the application'). How can I extract the paths of the files 'dragged out of the application'? (i.e. I drop the files on some program / script that shows me the paths / saves the paths to a txt file).

• My new hard drive doesn't have rights on my old one?

  Until recently I had a 1 TB hard disk with Windows 7 on it, I have bought myself a SSD, removed the old harddisc and installed Windows 7 on my new one. After that I put back the old hard disk, and formatted it, now I could use that as backup and to keep files on. Nice, right? Well I was updating .Net framework through Windows update, when it stalled. I noticed some space was used on one of the drives on my secondary 'previously primary' hard disk. Apparently it was the .Net framework, trying to save some temporary files on my secondary disc, because it was the one with the most space. It was like it didn't get access. I cancled the installation and rebooted the computer. Now wanting to remove the temporary folder on my secondary harddisk. It told me. "You don't have access by SYSTEM", I don't understand, my user is administrator, its the only user there is and at the same time I can remove and delete any other folder on that drive. I'm gonna go a little pseudo here. But it feels as if the computer treats the old harddisk as protected from tampering by the new SSD. Also, I feel I should mention, they are both listed as primary, ... primary 0 and primary 1. Both using SATA cable. My old hard drive was partioned into 3 drives. 2 of them said the current owner was 'Administrator/myPCname' and the third one said the current owner was 'SYSTEM' I changed them all into the only one that I could pick from the list, which is my user since the 'Administrators/myPCname' wasn't exactly wrong.. could it be that they were somehow still attached to the old OS?.. the fact is I named my computer the exact same thing as it was called before installing a new windows.. so I can't really tell if its an old ownership or not. Also.. I'm currently logged in as 'myname' and I'm administrator.. now trying to delete the previously mentioned files.. it says 'you need access from 'myname' – and it can't delete.. That seems really messed up, I mean I'm logged in as the name it wants me to use. Is there maybe someway I could reset all the users on my computer? Or create some default? I don't know – I just want it to take a form I have always known, from a standard Windows point of view.

• Can't install .NET 4.0 on Windows XP virtual machine! (VMWare Player)

  So, every time I try to install .NET Framework 4.0 on my Windows XP Professional SP3 VMWare Player virtual machine, I get a fatal error. It doesn't work with either Windows Update, the Web Installer or the normal installer! I don't know if it matters (AND I HOPE IT DOES NOT), but the host OS's Operating System drive is encrypted, and the VM HDD file resides on that partition. I don't think it matters because other programs can be installed! And downloaded!

I've kept these files in different folders, and now find it extremely hard to find them, and keeping track of obselete files (the almost weekly releases of iTunes versions, or latest 7zip release or the .Net framework installers). What I would like to find is a file manager that could support tags, so instead of hierachical folders, i could find\view files according to their tags...

I am running Eclipse Gallileo Build id: 20100218-1602 on Windows 7 Ultimate I am running php 5.3.8 The Zend Extension Build and PHP Extension Build are both - API220090626,TS,VC9 Solutions Tried: I have verified that port 9000 is available for use, I have even tried other ports as a double check that ports was not the issue. That includes setting the ports in both the php.ini file and in the Eclipse development environment. • netbeans 6.8 php, xdebug, mamp - cannot establish a connection

  I'm having no luck whatsoever with debuggers either on Zend Studio or NetBeans. I cannot believe the difficulty I'm having with these IDE's. I've read all the prior questions on netbeans-xdebug problems. According to those answers, my configuration is correct. Nonetheless, when I try to run xdebug, NetBeans hangs. I cancel the connection and get the popup dialog: "There is no connection, blah blah blah..." Here's my php.ini [xdebug] ; Xdebug config for Mac OS X and NetBeans IDE zend_extension=/Applications/MAMP/bin/php5/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20060613/xdebug.so xdebug.remote_enable=on xdebug.remote_handler=dbgp xdebug.remote_mode=req xdebug.remote_host=127.0.0.1 xdebug.remote_port=9000 xdebug.idekey=netbeans-xdebug In NetBeans preferences, my session ID = netbeans-xdebug. • Can't run MonoTouch App

  Hi guys, This is not a really Programming Question, but please bear with me as it's related to the IDE that we use to develop and I'm really Stuck! :( Every time I create a project (can be an empty project) I get the message above when pressing Run or Debug. I have no Web Servers running the Web Share is off, the Zend Server as well MAMP is Off, the app itself does nothing as it's a blank project and if I run it on the iPhone/iPad Simulator, the app just opens and closes automatically :-/ I'm all new to monoTouch, but I wonder, does anyone has this problem and know what should I do? • Installing .NET 3.5 SP1 on server broke WCF

  I installed .NET 3.5 SP1 on server which previously had .NET 3.0 SP2. Before install site was working perfectly. After install and subsequeny server restart, site displays but anything that makes use of the WCF service has stopped working. The exception log reports exceptions like the following when any calls are made to the client proxy: The communication object, System.ServiceModel.Channels.ServiceChannel, cannot be used for communication because it is in the Faulted state. The server's application event log gave the following errors after the install: Configuration section system.serviceModel.activation already exists in c:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\Config\machine.config. Configuration section system.runtime.serialization already exists in c:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\Config\machine.config. Configuration section system.serviceModel already exists in c:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\Config\machine.config. which seems to be inline with the fact that anything WCF related has stopped working. I am not experienced in server configurations or WCF so looking for any assistance with this. Thanks!! • Enable PDO for PHP5 on CentOS5 where PHP is configured as '--disable-pdo'

  Hi I have been given access to a CentOS5 machine by my client for their new site which uses Zend Framework. phpinfo() states in Configure Command that PDO is disabled ('--disable-pdo'). How can enable it? Do I need to recompile PHP5 to enable it? I have tried adding 'extension=pdo.so' in php.ini and restarting Apache, but this didn't work. It would also be nice to understand what '--disable-pdo' actaully means, does it mean it's not compiled into PHP or does it mean its just not enabled? Thanks for your time

  Hello - I mostly code in Visual Studio, I like it, but lately it's making me feel a little claustrophobic. On my MacBook Pro, I've set up PHP5 and MySQL (natively). With the built-in server on the mac, does this constitute a LAMP stack? Is Mac OSX considered a Linux Environment? I have VMWare Fusion 3, should I set up a Linux OS virtually in order to implement a LAMP stack? Should I just use CakePHP or Zend? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

• Best method for Flex to PHP communication?

  What is the best method for communication between Flex and PHP? In the past, we used AMFPHP with AS2, and it worked great for the most part (advantage of AMFPHP is that it also has a JSON mode that can let you seamlessly use the same remote PHP with either Javascript or Actionscript frontends). However, it seems like AMFPHP isn't realy maintained anymore. So what do people recommend to replace it? So far, what I've found is: Zend_AMF (looks too complex for us, we're not using the Zend framework otherwise) AMFPHP (there were some updated made to support Flex, and it seems fairly stable, but not sure on long-term support) XML (AS3 has nice XML handling routines, but it's more of a pain on the PHP side) WebORB (I have no experience with this) Roll-our-own using JSON or some other data-to-text serialization system (php's serialize(), XML, etc etc) Mostly I'm leaning towards AMFPHP, even because of the downsides, since that's what I'm used to. Any reason I should consider switching to something else?
