  i have recently purchased an AVR USB programmer from robokits.co.in, was trying to program atmeg8 using AVR studio4 and i get the following when i click on the program options: a problem occurred when executing the command. make sure u are using the correct programming method. current mode is ISP verify that the device is placed in the correct socket, and that the ISP cable is connected properly.check that the programming frequency specified in the main page is well below 1/4th of the clock frequency of the device. i have tried all that i could think of, i have checked the connections and the freq is below 1/4th of the device. but that doesn't solve this problem i have made the circuit for blinking LEDs program please help me out see the image for details thanking you

• Errors not being redirected to an Http handler if redirectMode="ResponseRewrite"

  I see similar questions, but it looks like there were due to an unrelated issue. in 3.5, I have a custom error handler that logs errors and redirects users. My web.config is set up as such: <httpHandlers> <add path="error.ashx" type="MySite.Tools.WebErrorLogger, MySite.Tools" verb="*"/> </httpHandlers> <customErrors mode="On" defaultRedirect="error.ashx" redirectMode="ResponseRewrite"> </customErrors> When redirectMode is set to "ResponseRedirect", everything works fine (but Server.GetLastError() being null but that seems to be intended) However, when using ResponseRewrite, my handler is not called and I see ASP.Net default error pages. Any idea on how I could do this? (I unfortunately can't use either an aspx page or do my error handling in global.asax due to other constraints)

  I'm sure there is a quick and easy way to calculate the sum of a column of values on Unix systems (using something like awk or xargs perhaps), but writing a shell script to parse the rows line by line is the only thing that comes to mind at the moment. • Delay the display of image loaded using jquery + ajax

  I am using the following code : $.ajax({ url: "pgiproxy.php", data: ({ data : $("#formdata").serialize(), mode : "graph"}), success: function(result){ var temp = $('<div/>').html(result); var val = temp.find('center').html(); $('#BFX').html(val); }, error: function(){ $("#error").html("ERROR !!!"); } }); The 'result' from the ajax call to 'pgiproxy.php' is a whole web page (returned as a string), this is then converted to a jQuery object and stored in 'var'. I then extract the data I need (a .gif image) using .find() which is stored in 'val'. This image is then inserted into a #BFX div for display. My problem is every successive time I click my button to update this image it shows the image loading from top to bottom as it is reading it in from the web. Is there a way to only display this image once it has fully loaded so the user doesnt see the image loading and only sees the image change instantly.

  i have a simple query that returns an entity, and when i look at hibernate SQL output i see that when i execute this query hibernate updates the @Version field (on each consecutive read the @version field is updated). i dont modify anything in the entity i fetch, and i dont pass is as an argument to either persist or merge. this effectively means every read i make turns into a read+write. i've tried setting the lock mode t oboth NONE (jpa 2) and READ (jpa 1) to no avail. is there any way to achieve this? if so, is there any way to set this as the default behavior in persistence.xml in some way ? im using jpa2 over hibernate 3.6

  I'm using the :!grep "tag1" filename | grep "tag2" filename | grep -n "tag3 or more" filename command in vim to search for my code snippets based on their tags (a simple comment at the top of a snippet) in one big file. I use snippets to remember tricky things. This is painful to write out each time. I'd like to make an alias, or function to do something like this: :!greptag tag1 tag2 ... tag39 And it should search the current doc and return the lines with all the tags on them. Vim is set to interactive shell mode so that it can parse my bashrc for aliases/functions. set shellcmdflag=-ic How can I construct a function that allows for variable arguments like this in bash?

I have no control how and where the characters get displayed. I would like it to always begin on line 1 position 1 but as I said earlier how would I be able to do that. The same program if I run again and again it moves a character to the left. I have set it to accept ASCII char set and so I am able to type as is visble in the Writeline message

• Is this possible with OpenGL?

  Basically what I'd like to do is make textured NGONS. I also want to use a tesselator (GLU) to make concave and multicontour objects. I was wondering how the texture comes into play though. I think that the tesselator will return verticies so I will add these to my array, that's fine. But my vertex array will contain more than one polygon object so then how can I tell it when to bind the texture like in immediate mode? Right now I feel stuck with one call to bind. How can this be done? Thanks

  I'm using jquery-ui's draggable for drag-and-drop, and jeditable for inline editing. When I drag and drop an element that's also editable, right after it's dropped jeditable kicks in and pops into 'edit mode'. How can I disable this behavior? Edit - the problem happens because of netsting - see this example. I also added draggable to the mix to make the example more realistic (the actual real problem is in this site that I'm working on) Note - even though this question has an accepted answer because of the bounty rules, the problem is still not resolved for me.

  I tried to search the solution in internet, but found nothing, is there anyone who can help me? For my application, there is one document (Microsoft word), and this document is reviewed by several people in the "Track changes" mode, so the input to my application is the original document and the reviewed documents with changes (like insert/delete/comments). By this link , I know how to extract all the changes from the reviewed documents. what i want is to combine all the changes from all the reviewed documents into ONE document, and make all the changes "accepted", so the output of my application is one modified Microsoft document with all the changes (delete/insert/comment) accepted. My problem is that I don't know how to combine the changes from several documents into one single document. Anyone has an idea how to do this? Thank you very much in advance.

  Hi, I use VS2008 C# + Windows Forms. I can't understand why comboBox does not behave the way it should. In Design mode, I added a comboBox to my form, and edit Items to add "A" and "B". Double-clicking brings me to SelectedIndexChanged event, which I edit to display the selected text with MessageBox. private void comboBoxImageSet_SelectedIndexChanged(object sender, EventArgs e) { MessageBox.Show(comboBoxImageSet.SelectedText); } When I run, and select "A" or "B" in the comboBox, the MessageBox appears, but nothing is written.   I am working on an app with configurable files. When i publish i notice 1) I get an installer which i dont think i can opt out of 2) I dont know where the install path is and if i change the config files the application will not install (maybe not run either if i edit them in the right place?) So what alternatives do i have? I would like some event i can run which builds in release mode then copies the release.exe and any config/media file and move it to path/deploy/prj/ so i can zip it or share it instead of a path in my sensitive path/src area (bonus is i can share deploy if i want all projects to be available (and no source)) Using visual studio 2010 -edit- also i need some data in src/relatedprj/bin/*, to be copied into the root

  I've implemented a camera in Java using a position vector and three direction vectors so I can use gluLookAt(); moving around in `ghost mode' works fine enough, but I want to add collision detection. I can't seem to figure out how to transform my position vector to coordinates in which OpenGL draws my objects. A rough sketch of my drawing loop is this: glClear(GL_COLOR_BUFFER_BIT | GL_DEPTH_BUFFER_BIT); glLoadIdentity(); camera.setView(); drawer.drawTheScene(); I'm at a loss of how to proceed; looking at the ModelView matrix between calls and my position vector, I haven't found any kind of correlation.

• UIScrollView with over 100 images

  I have implemented a UIScrollView on the iPhone that contains 100 image slots which I fill only the currently visible page, the one before it, and the one after it as the user scrolls. Everything works fine until we get up to image 97 or 98, the entire view disappears! The only thing I can do at that point is navigate back to the previous view. Nothing works as far as the scroll view after this. I am not receiving any memory warnings an the rest of the app functions fine. Any ideas? Has anyone created a UIScrollView in paging mode with over 100 pages? Rick

• Excel can't remember how to copy/paste

  So, maybe someone else has an idea why this happens. I have a full-fledged version of Office 2007, works fine and all that jazz. However, if I try to copy and paste query results from SSMS, or anywhere else for that matter, I have to have an instance of Excel open and then paste. I can't copy, open Excel, and then paste. The little 'wait' circle pops up for a split second but nothing is pasted. I have never ran across this with any other program. Any good explanation for this? FFIW, it's Excel 2007 running in compatibility mode.

• Why would I see PHP NOTICE and ERRORs when running a script as a regular user, but not as root?

  As far as I can tell, there's no difference between the error reporting or message redirection between users. They both use the same PHP ini. However, when I run a script as a regular user, I get tons of NOTICES, when run as root, I get none. When starting PHP interactive mode as a regular user, I get two PHP Warnings that 'memcache' and 'xmlwriter' are already loaded; when starting as the root user, I get no warnings. I know that I should be fixing the warnings, not "making the warnings go away;" that's on the ticket. The question is, Why are the users treated differently? Why does a regular user get notices and warnings, but root does not, even if their error reporting are the same?

I've tried everything I can think of, including: generating the ICO with a variety of different utilities, changing the syntax of the favicon link elements in the document head, using absolute, relative, and root-relative URLs in the favicon link elements, using a PNG instead of an ICO file, ensuring that I am uploading the file via FTP in binary mode, As a longtime web developer/programmer, I can't believe that this is tripping me up.   I've a very basic class, name it Basic, used in nearly all other files in a bigger project. In some cases, there needs to be debug output, but in release mode, this should not be enabled and be a NOOP. Currently there is a define in the header, which switches a makro on or off, depending on the setting. So this is definetely a NOOP, when switched off. I'm wondering, if I have the following code, if a compiler (MSVS / gcc) is able to optimize out the function call, so that it is again a NOOP.
