• Poping multiple levels in UITableViewController

  I would like to be able to pop multiple views from a UITableViewController stack. For example in the Apple DrillDownSave example, when viewing Level 3 to go back to Level 1 or when viewing an Item to go back to Level 2 when a button is pushed. I tried: [self.navigationController.parentViewController.navigationController popViewControllerAnimated: NO]; [self.navigationController popViewControllerAnimated: NO]; and [self.navigationController popViewControllerAnimated: NO]; [self.navigationController.parentViewController.navigationController popViewControllerAnimated: NO]; but these leave me the same place as just a single popViewControllerAnimated:. Is there an easy way to do this?

  Hello, I'm looking at definitions of the A* path-finding algorithm, and it seems to be defined somewhat differently in different places. The difference is in the action performed when going through the successors of a node, and finding that a successor is on the closed list. One approach (suggested by Wikipedia, and this article) says: if the successor is on the closed list, just ignore it Another approach (suggested here and here, for example) says: if the successor is on the closed list, examine its cost. If it's higher than the currently computed score, remove the item from the closed list for future examination. I'm confused - which method is correct ? Intuitively, the first makes more sense to me, but I wonder about the difference in definition. Is one of the definitions wrong, or are they somehow isomorphic ?

  Hello all, Now I'm using sIFR3. It works very nicely. Additionally, I would like to put an effect on sIFR. My idea is that when the page loaded, sIFR(ed) texts change its color. For example, sIFR in list item change color one by one. The purpose is to emphasize the sIFR(ed) texts. Reading the document, I thought Flash filters are not for like this animation. I want to build an invoice web application, an invoice can have many items, and each user can have an inventory list of product items that they can store and choose to add to an invoice item. My questions are: 1. Should I store all product inventory for all users using my application under one single table? Or have a separate product inventory table created for each user? 2. Is this even possible? 1 table is easier, but what if this single table grows too big, will I have a problem? (primary key INT).

  I am thinking of using the Google Document Viewer to show PDF files that are hosted by our company server. The scenario is: A webpage will contain a menu with menu items that are actually different pages of a PDF file. After clicking a menu item, that particular page from the pdf will be displayed on that same web page This project is targeted for mobile devices (iPad, for now) Now, I am using an iFrame like below: But I don't know if linking to a specific page is possible or Google would like that because I tried the solutions posted on how to open specific page on Google's docs viewer and http://googlesystem.blogspot.com/2009/11/link-to-page-in-googles-document-viewer.html but all of them seem to be outdated.   am having issues with prerequisites while trying to publish my windows .net 3.5 application using clickonce. I am wanting my application to work offline as well as online, so I want to include the prerequisites in the installation and not make client download them via the internet. My prerequisites are: .Net Framework Client Profile SQL Compact 3.5 I have downloaded the .Net Framework Client Profile Offline Installer. Installed it and put the DotNetFx35Client.exe in this location: C:\Program Files\Microsoft SDKs\Windows\v6.0A\Bootstrapper\Packages\DotNetFx35Client Under the Project - Publish Tab I have checked the "Download prerequisites from the following location" and entered \MachineName\Program Files\Microsoft SDKs\Windows\v6.0A\Bootstrapper\Packages\DotNetFx35Client Following http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1046370?tab=oldest#tab-top I am however still the error: The install location for prerequisites has not been set to 'component vendo's website' file Dotnetfx35client\Dotnetfx35clientSteup.exe' in item .net framework client profile can not be located on disk.

  I have a list with a dataprovider, it lists out buttons encapsulated in an item renderer. All I want it to do is have a skin that it changes to when it is clicked. I can get this to happen, but then it just goes back to its up state. I want it to stick on the down state, which I have to do by disabling the button. • How to change the OSX menubar in wxPython without any opened window?

  I am writing a wxPython application that remains open after closing all of its windows - so you can still drag & drop new files onto the OSX dock icon (I do this with myApp.SetExitOnFrameDelete(False)). Unfortunately if I close all the windows, the OSX menubar will only contain a "Help" menu. I would like to add at least a File/Open menu item, or just keep the menubar of the main window. Is this somehow possible in wxPython? In fact, I would be happy with a non-wxPython hack as well (for example, setting the menu in pyobjc). wxPython development in OSX is such a hack anyway ;)

  I've got a Container with a header, content (Carousel) and a footer. The Container itself is therefor scrollable (vertical) to be able to scroll down to the footer. The Carousel can be swiped horizontally to change active item. I want to lock it to do only two thing: If starting to move vertically, only scroll Container If starting to move horizontally, only scroll Carousel If you now grab the Carousel you are able to scroll both ways at the same time. So that when I'm logged in, I can see everything. But when an anonymous user visit the site, he will only see the public stuff. It's way to manage a kind of front window/back-store architecture. I can use the same Drupal installation to all my needs and choose to filter the stuff I may want to make publicly available. * Important : 1) Private items must not be accessible even if anonymous users guess its URL; 2) Private item must not show up if anonymous user perform a search; 3) Private content must not be indexed by search engines; 4) Private items should show up if I perform a search while being logged in. Can datalink help with this? If so how? Also, I read that datalink requires forms is that true? Or can I bind the links to anything like 0 and anytime a mailitem changes from read to unread it would automatically update? Thanks

  Most of my database tables have a clear unique index through which lookups are done 90% of the time but I am a bit unsure on this one - I have a table which keeps track of user rating totals for items in my database, I now want to add another table, to track individual ratings with an ip address column to make sure no one can rate something twice. Since I can see this becoming a big, high use table it is important to optimize it correctly. (MYSQL table) This table will have the following fields: rating_id(always - unique), item_id (always - not unique), user_id (optional - not unique), ip_address (always - not unique), rating_value(always - not unique), has_review(bool) Now I envisions 90% the queries going something like this: When a user rates something - select where item_id = x and ip_address = y, (if rows = 0) insert rating When in user account pages - select where ip_address = x or username = y Now none of the fields searched on are unique, can I still use them as indexes (for example item _id and ip_address), can I have two indexes and will this still improve performance over a non indexed table?

  I am populating a JComboBox (using addItem()) with all the elements of a collection. Each element in the collection is a HashMap (so its a ComboBox of Hashmaps..). My question is - Given that I need each item to be a HashMap how do I set the text to apear in the combobox on the GUI? It needs to be the value of a certain key in the map. Normally if I am populating a combobox with my own type, I would just overide the toString() method...but I am not sure how to acheive this since I am using a Java HashMap. Any ideas (if possible, without implementing my own HashMap)? Update: It seems like there isn't anyway to avoid having the object int the JComboBox overide toString() if I want custom functionality..I wish there was a way to (1) specify the objects to be loaded into the JComboBox and (2) specify how these objects are to appear in the GUI.

• Share Link - Perform action in background

  I have an application that will accept URLs from the built in web browser via the "Share page" menu item. I'm using the send intent and it works just fine. However, I'd like to accept a URL and process it in the background without bringing my application to the front. I don't want the user to have to actually leave the web browser. It will notify the user it has finished processing the URL with a Toast message. I'm just not sure what type of activity should be used for this. A good example of this behavior is the "Read Later" instapaper application in the android market. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  Is there a way to dynamically inject partial templates (and have it work the same way in both Ruby & Javascript)? Basically, I'm trying to render different types of objects in a list. Is there a better way? Also note that the different types of models for the views can have non-similar fields. I suppose I could always go to the lowest common denominator and have the data hash contain the html, however I would rather use the mustache templates.

• Why does the HTML5 DOCTYPE mess with my padding?

  I have an html5 page with a navbar. Completely scratch coded. I just recently added a doctype to the item, and now I’m getting extra space under my navbar. If I remove the doctype declaration, it goes back to normal. I have completely reset padding, margins, etc. on everything, and cut it down to the a small amount of code that illustrates the issue. When I run the script I get the following errors , "Either BOF or EOF is True, or the current record has been deleted. Requested operation requires a current record." or "Item cannot be found in the collection corresponding to the requested name or ordinal." Somewhere when I was googling I found that , the above error message will be shown when we use temp table in stored procedure, if that is the reason , then how can I access data via VBscript by executing the stored procedure ??

  We're experiencing a strange problem with our current Varnish configuration. 4x Web Servers (IIS 6.5 on Windows 2003 Server, each installed on a Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5450 @ 3.00GHz Quad Core, 4GB RAM) 3x Varnish Servers (varnish-3.0.3 revision 9e6a70f on Ubuntu 12.04.2 LTS - 64 bit/precise, Kernel Linux 3.2.0-29-generic, each installed on a Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5450 @ 3.00GHz Quad Core, 4GB RAM) The Varnish Servers performance are awfully bad in general, to the point that if we shut down one of them the other two are unable to fullfill all the requests and start to skip beats resulting in pending requests, timeouts, 404, etc. What can we do to improve our Varnish performance? Considering that we're getting less than 5k request per seconds during our max peak, we should be able to serve our pages even with a single one of them without any problem. I have the following 2 tables: Company {CompanyID, CompanyName, MainContact} Contacts {ContactID, ContactName} And when the user clicks to edit a company, A TextBox will be there to edit a company name, but also a ComboBox will be there. The way I am currently doing it is binding the ComboBox to the Contacts dataset, and manually updating the Company MainContact field in code behind. Is there anyway for me to bind the selected item to the Company MainContact field in XAML and the items to the ContactName and eliminate the code behind? Reason for this is when you start making 100's combo boxes all over the application it gets long winded each time creating code behind to do the update.
