  • Few Google Checkout Questions

    - by Richard Knop
I am planning to integrate a Google Checkout payment system on a social networking website. The idea is that members can buy "tokens" for real money (which are sort of the website currency) and then they can buy access to some extra content on the website etc. What I want to do is create a Google Checkout button that takes a member to the checkout page where he pays with his credit or debit card. What I want is the Google Checkout to notify notify my server whether the purchase of tokens was successful (if the credit/debit card was charged) so I can update the local database. The website is coded in PHP/MySQL. I have downloaded the sample PHP code from here: code.google.com/p/google-checkout-php-sample-code/wiki/Documentation I know how to create a Google checkout button and I have also placed the responsehandlerdemo.php file on my server. This is the file the Google Checkout is supposed to send response to (of course I set the path to the file in Google merchant account). Now in the response handler file there is a switch block with several case statements. Which one means that the payment was successful and I can add tokens to the member account in the local database? switch ($root) { case "request-received": { break; } case "error": { break; } case "diagnosis": { break; } case "checkout-redirect": { break; } case "merchant-calculation-callback": { // Create the results and send it $merchant_calc = new GoogleMerchantCalculations($currency); // Loop through the list of address ids from the callback $addresses = get_arr_result($data[$root]['calculate']['addresses']['anonymous-address']); foreach($addresses as $curr_address) { $curr_id = $curr_address['id']; $country = $curr_address['country-code']['VALUE']; $city = $curr_address['city']['VALUE']; $region = $curr_address['region']['VALUE']; $postal_code = $curr_address['postal-code']['VALUE']; // Loop through each shipping method if merchant-calculated shipping // support is to be provided if(isset($data[$root]['calculate']['shipping'])) { $shipping = get_arr_result($data[$root]['calculate']['shipping']['method']); foreach($shipping as $curr_ship) { $name = $curr_ship['name']; //Compute the price for this shipping method and address id $price = 12; // Modify this to get the actual price $shippable = "true"; // Modify this as required $merchant_result = new GoogleResult($curr_id); $merchant_result->SetShippingDetails($name, $price, $shippable); if($data[$root]['calculate']['tax']['VALUE'] == "true") { //Compute tax for this address id and shipping type $amount = 15; // Modify this to the actual tax value $merchant_result->SetTaxDetails($amount); } if(isset($data[$root]['calculate']['merchant-code-strings'] ['merchant-code-string'])) { $codes = get_arr_result($data[$root]['calculate']['merchant-code-strings'] ['merchant-code-string']); foreach($codes as $curr_code) { //Update this data as required to set whether the coupon is valid, the code and the amount $coupons = new GoogleCoupons("true", $curr_code['code'], 5, "test2"); $merchant_result->AddCoupons($coupons); } } $merchant_calc->AddResult($merchant_result); } } else { $merchant_result = new GoogleResult($curr_id); if($data[$root]['calculate']['tax']['VALUE'] == "true") { //Compute tax for this address id and shipping type $amount = 15; // Modify this to the actual tax value $merchant_result->SetTaxDetails($amount); } $codes = get_arr_result($data[$root]['calculate']['merchant-code-strings'] ['merchant-code-string']); foreach($codes as $curr_code) { //Update this data as required to set whether the coupon is valid, the code and the amount $coupons = new GoogleCoupons("true", $curr_code['code'], 5, "test2"); $merchant_result->AddCoupons($coupons); } $merchant_calc->AddResult($merchant_result); } } $Gresponse->ProcessMerchantCalculations($merchant_calc); break; } case "new-order-notification": { $Gresponse->SendAck(); break; } case "order-state-change-notification": { $Gresponse->SendAck(); $new_financial_state = $data[$root]['new-financial-order-state']['VALUE']; $new_fulfillment_order = $data[$root]['new-fulfillment-order-state']['VALUE']; switch($new_financial_state) { case 'REVIEWING': { break; } case 'CHARGEABLE': { //$Grequest->SendProcessOrder($data[$root]['google-order-number']['VALUE']); //$Grequest->SendChargeOrder($data[$root]['google-order-number']['VALUE'],''); break; } case 'CHARGING': { break; } case 'CHARGED': { break; } case 'PAYMENT_DECLINED': { break; } case 'CANCELLED': { break; } case 'CANCELLED_BY_GOOGLE': { //$Grequest->SendBuyerMessage($data[$root]['google-order-number']['VALUE'], // "Sorry, your order is cancelled by Google", true); break; } default: break; } switch($new_fulfillment_order) { case 'NEW': { break; } case 'PROCESSING': { break; } case 'DELIVERED': { break; } case 'WILL_NOT_DELIVER': { break; } default: break; } break; } case "charge-amount-notification": { //$Grequest->SendDeliverOrder($data[$root]['google-order-number']['VALUE'], // <carrier>, <tracking-number>, <send-email>); //$Grequest->SendArchiveOrder($data[$root]['google-order-number']['VALUE'] ); $Gresponse->SendAck(); break; } case "chargeback-amount-notification": { $Gresponse->SendAck(); break; } case "refund-amount-notification": { $Gresponse->SendAck(); break; } case "risk-information-notification": { $Gresponse->SendAck(); break; } default: $Gresponse->SendBadRequestStatus("Invalid or not supported Message"); break; } I guess that case 'CHARGED' is the one, am I right? Second question, do I need an SSL certificate to receive response from Google Checkout? According to this I do: groups.google.com/group/google-checkout-api-php/browse_thread/thread/10ce55177281c2b0 But I don's see it mentioned anywhere in the official documentation. Thank you.

  • Signup form using Braintree Transparent Redirect

    - by Robin Fisher
Hi, I'm developing an application in Rails and want the user to be able to signup and provide their card details on one form. I'm using the Braintree API and their transparent redirect, which means that the form data is posted directly to Braintree. How can I store and later retrieve the non-payment related information provided by the user from that form e.g. account name, username? These values are not returned in the response provided by Braintree. If you look at the Basecamp signup process, this is the result I want to achieve. Thanks Robin

  • Install app on Motorola Backflip from AT&T

    - by eric
I'm trying to test an app out on the Motorola Backflip with AT&T as the carrier. I checked USB debugging on the phone's Development screen. Using Eclipse, how do I get the app to load on the Backflip so I can test it? DDMS shows a device with a bunch of question marks and unkown. Seems that it only gives me the option to load the app on the SD card which doesn't do me any good. I searched and found a Motorola driver which I'm supposed to install to the adb folder. Where is that folder? I've checked the phone and on my development machine. Maybe I need new glasses?

  • Where can I find a comprehensive reference for Zen Cart variables and overrides?

    - by Angelina
Hi everyone, I'm working with Zen Cart for a client and I'm having a bit of trouble finding a practical, concise resource that gives reference to the most common template variables and overrides. This project is fairly superficial so that is all I need - but bonus points if you find something that goes a little bit deeper. Please note that I am looking for something that is 'at a glance', like a reference card. I have already looked at several books on Zen Cart, but most of them are designed for the end user or a sysadmin at most and leave much to be desired.

  • Detect and record a sound with python

    - by Jean-Pierre
    I'm using this program to record a sound in python: import pyaudio import wave import sys chunk = 1024 FORMAT = pyaudio.paInt16 CHANNELS = 1 RATE = 44100 RECORD_SECONDS = 5 WAVE_OUTPUT_FILENAME = "output.wav" p = pyaudio.PyAudio() stream = p.open(format = FORMAT, channels = CHANNELS, rate = RATE, input = True, frames_per_buffer = chunk) print "* recording" all = [] for i in range(0, RATE / chunk * RECORD_SECONDS): data = stream.read(chunk) all.append(data) print "* done recording" stream.close() p.terminate() write data to WAVE file data = ''.join(all) wf = wave.open(WAVE_OUTPUT_FILENAME, 'wb') wf.setnchannels(CHANNELS) wf.setsampwidth(p.get_sample_size(FORMAT)) wf.setframerate(RATE) wf.writeframes(data) wf.close() I want to change the program to start recording when sound is detected by the sound card input. Probably should compare the input sound level in Chunk, but how do this?

  • Darkening UIView while flipping over using UIViewAnimationTransitionFlipFromRight

    - by Alexander Repty
I'm using a standard animation block to flip over from one view to another, like this: [UIView beginAnimations:@"FlipAnimation" context:self]; [UIView setAnimationTransition:UIViewAnimationTransitionFlipFromRight forView:self.view cache:NO]; [UIView setAnimationBeginsFromCurrentState:NO]; [containerView exchangeSubviewAtIndex:1 withSubviewAtIndex:0]; [UIView commitAnimations]; During the animation's course, the "from" view darkens as it begins to flip over. Since I'm using nearly identical views on both sides which don't cover the whole view (it's meant to represent a physical card being flipped over), this looks absolutely horrible. Using [UIColor clearColor] as the backgroundColor property for every associated UIView didn't help one bit as transparent areas seem to get darkened as well. Any ideas on how I could get rid of this darkening effect?

  • Get Contact Profile Information from Office Communicator (OCS) SDK in C#?

    - by Andrew
Hi, My company uses MS Office Communicator Server (OCS) 2007 R2, and I am accessing with C# with the SDK. If I right click on a contact in OCS, I get the option to 'View Contact Card'. I want access to this via the API! Unfortunately I can find nothing in the SDK documentation to get at this. There is a method called 'ViewProfile' which is unsupported, and I can find nothing out there about it. I could of course go directly to the Active Directory account of the contact, but that would require my machine to connect to the organization via VPN. Since most of us work 'offline' I would prefer not to do this. (The data I need is anyway in OCS!) Thanks in advance, Andrew

    - by osgx
Hello I have a comp with 2 eth cards, connected with patch-cord (direct eth. cable from 1st to 2nd). The linux is installed, I want to send data from 1st network card to 2nd. And I want to force the packet to pass via cable. I can set up any ip on cards. With ping I get counters on cards constant. Is it possible with tcp/ip sockets? PS. I need to write a program. which will send packets via eth, so stackoverflow-related question. There can be some OS-dependent way, they will help me too

  • How to investigate if opencl is possible for an algorithm

    - by Marnix
I have a heavy-duty algorithm in C# that takes two large Bitmaps of about 10000x5000 and performs photo and ray collision operations on a 3D model to map photos on the 3D model. I would like to know if it is possible to convert such an algorithm to OpenCL to optimize parallel operations during the algorithm. But before asking you to go into the details of the algorithm, I would like to know how I can investigate if my algorithm is convertible to OpenCL. I am not experienced in OpenCL and I would like to know if it is worth it to get into it and learn how it works. Are there things I have to look for that will definitely not work on the graphics card? (for-loops, recursion) Update: My algorithm goes something like: foreach photo split the photo in 64x64 blocks foreach block cast a ray from the camera to the 3D model foreach triangle in 3D model perform raycheck

  • Web Services vs Persistent Sockets

    - by dsquires
I plan on doing a little benchmarking around this question, myself. But I thought it would be good to get some initial feedback from "the community". Has anyone out there done any analysis regarding the pros and cons of these two technologies? My thoughts: Opening and closing TCP/IP connections for web service calls is relatively expensive compared to persistent connections. Dealing with intermittent connection errors and state, etc... would be easier with a web service based framework. You don't see World of Warcraft using web services. One question that I can't seem to find much of answer for anywhere (even on here)... are the limits on the # of persistent connections a single network card can support, etc?

  • Android cooliris gallery developer documentation

    - by mefesto
Does anyone know how to integrate with the new Gallery3D app (cooliris android gallery)? I want to launch that app so it shows the thumbnails for only a specific folder. For example, say my app downloads images from my server and stores them in a folder on the sd-card (/sdcard/myapp/image-cache/someid/*). I'd like to be able to do something like the following: // within an activity Uri uri = Uri.withAppendedPath(Media.EXTERNAL_CONTENT_URI, "myapp/image-cache/someid"); Intent intent = new Intent(Intent.ACTION_VIEW, uri); startActivity(intent); Thanks.

  • Android: Voice Recording and saving audio

    - by user1320912
    I am working on application that will record the voice of the user and save the file on the SD card and then allow the user to listen to the audio again. I am able to allow the user to record his voice using the RecognizerIntent, but I cant figure out how to save the audio file and allow the user to hear the audio. I would appreciate it if someone could help me out. I have displayed my code below: // Setting up the onClickListener for Audio Button attachVoice = (Button) findViewById(R.id.AttachVoice_questionandanswer); attachVoice.setOnClickListener(new OnClickListener() { public void onClick(View v) { Intent voiceIntent = new Intent(RecognizerIntent.ACTION_RECOGNIZE_SPEECH); voiceIntent.putExtra(RecognizerIntent.EXTRA_LANGUAGE_MODEL, RecognizerIntent.LANGUAGE_MODEL_FREE_FORM); voiceIntent.putExtra(RecognizerIntent.EXTRA_PROMPT, "Please Speak"); startActivityForResult(voiceIntent, VOICE_REQUEST); } }); protected void onActivityResult(int requestCode, int resultCode, Intent data) { if(requestCode == VOICE_REQUEST && resultCode == RESULT_OK){ }

  • Python/Django: Which authorize.net library should I use?

    - by Parand
I need authorize.net integration for subscription payments, likely using CIM. The requirements are simple - recurring monthly payments, with a few different price points. Customer credit card info will be stored a authorize.net . There are quite a few libraries and code snippets around, I'm looking for recommendations as to which work best. Satchmo seems more than I need, and it looks like it's complex. Django-Bursar seems like what I need, but it's listed as alpha. The adroll/authorize library also looks pretty good. The CIM XML APIs don't look too bad, I could connect directly with them. And there are quite a few other code snippets. What's the best choice right now, given my fairly simple requirements?

  • ldap vbscript : msExchOmaAdminWirelessEnable is randomly missing on different accounts

    - by phill
In my script: Function getDescript (strname, uname) Set MyUser = GetObject ("LDAP://cn=" & uname & ",ou=" & strname & ",DC=tms-1,DC=net") getDescript = myUser.Get("msExchOmaAdminWirelessEnable") End Function uname = "Bob Gardner" strname = "bgConsultants" WScript.Echo "wireless enable: " & getDescript(strname, uname) I have noticed some users in the same OU sometimes do and sometimes don't have the msExchOmaAdminWirelessEnable attribute when I check it in sysinternals' ACtive Directory Explorer. All users are in the same OU and the exchange 2003 server has sp2 installed. Anyone might know why this is? Update: I figured out that if I disable and re-enable the Outlook Mobile Access setting for each user, the msExchOmaAdminWirelessEnable attribute shows up again for those users missing that attribute...weird..

  • c# ASP HttpResponse with redirect causes HTTP 302

    - by acnse
Hi, I have a flow of web pages A and B. On the web page A, I do a "Response.Redirect("B.aspx"); The page B needs a client certificate. When the redirect is done I see a popup asking for a client certificate. I select the correct certificate, which is retrieved from a smart card, and then I insert the pin. Right after, I see a page saying that the connection was lost, and I receive an HTTP 302. I never reach the page B.aspx. I tried to add the following line "Response.RedirectLocation = "B.aspx"; but with no success too. Any hints? Thanks

  • Developing a GPS car tracking system

    - by Click Ok
I'm in the brainstorming phase to develop a GPS car tracking system requested by a customer. I myself know the directions to build some GPS system to mobile phones and etc. But sincerely I don't know how to start in that project. That is the scenario: 1) The cars will get a device with a SIM CARD that will emit GPS signals. 2) My customer will in any place (home, work, etc) with a web connection will see in the map where the car is located. For me, I have not problems at get the GPS data, convert to usable info and show the position in some map system (like Google Maps or MS Bing Maps, by example). My problem is, how I do to retrieve that "GPS Signal" from device in the car? I will need some kind of "Receiver Device" connected to a web server machine in order to my application to consume that data? Or "automagically" my sodtware will receive the info from a third-party web-service? Or what?

  • Android: onClick on LinearLayout with TextView and Button

    - by Terry
I have a Fragment that uses the following XML layout: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <LinearLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:layout_width="match_parent" android:layout_height="match_parent" android:background="@drawable/card" android:clickable="true" android:onClick="editActions" android:orientation="vertical" > <TextView android:id="@+id/title" style="@style/CardTitle" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:duplicateParentState="true" android:text="@string/title_workstation" /> <Button android:id="@+id/factory_button_edit" style="?android:attr/buttonStyleSmall" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:duplicateParentState="true" android:text="@string/label_edit" /> </LinearLayout> As you can see, I have an onClick parameter set on LinearLayout. Now on the TextView this one is triggered correctly, and on all empty area. Just on the Button it doesn't invoke the onClick method that I set. Is this normal? What do I have to do so that the onClick method is invoked everywhere on the LinearLayout?

  • iPhone SDK: CLocationAccuracy. What constants map to what positioning technology?

    - by buzzappsoftware
With respect to CLocationManager docs.... Constant values you can use to specify the accuracy of a location. extern const CLLocationAccuracy kCLLocationAccuracyBestForNavigation; extern const CLLocationAccuracy kCLLocationAccuracyBest; extern const CLLocationAccuracy kCLLocationAccuracyNearestTenMeters; extern const CLLocationAccuracy kCLLocationAccuracyHundredMeters; extern const CLLocationAccuracy kCLLocationAccuracyKilometer; extern const CLLocationAccuracy kCLLocationAccuracyThreeKilometers; Given that, I have the following questions. What triangulation method (GPS, cell tower or wi-fi) corresponds to each accuracy level? Does iPhone SDK utilize Skyhook Wireless API? For kCLLocationAccuracyBestForNavigation, there is note stating the phone must be plugged in. Is this enforced or is it just warning the developer the battery is likely to drain quick from using the GPS receiver. Thanks in advance.

  • MVC architectural question - Where should payment processing go?

    - by Keltex
This question is related to my ASP.NET MVC 2 development, but it could apply to any MVC environment and a question of where the logic should go. So let's say I have a controller that takes an online payment such as a shopping cart application. And I have the method that accepts the customers' credit card information: public class CartController : Controller CartRepository cartRepository = new CartRepository() [HttpPost] public ActionResult Payment(PaymentViewModel rec) { if(!ModelState.IsValid) { return View(rec); } // process payment here return RedirectToAction("Receipt"); } At the comment process payment here should the payment processing be handled: In the controller? By the repository? Someplace else?

  • IOKit header assert.h gone? [answered]

    - by Julian Kessel
    I want to get the hardware address of my mac's ethernet card. In all samples I saw in include on IOKit/assert.h . Which doesn't seem to exist on my system. GCC throws an error saying he doesn't know the type IOEthernetAddress. Is assert.h necessary for my task? It would be great if someone coud give me a working sample. [edit] here's my code, think this will help understanding the problem: #include <IOKit/assert.h> #include <IOKit/network/IOEthernetController.h> #include <IOKit/network/IOEthernetInterface.h> int main(){ IOEthernetAddress addr; getHardwareAddress(&addr); printf("%x", addr); return 0; }

  • basic device that can connect to internet

    - by Hellnar
Hello, I am looking for a cheap solution to my problem: I need to find either a common device (that is used in restaurants, bars clubs) or a cheap new device that can connect to internet (via the already existing ethernet or wireless based internet) and do HTTP request/receive response and retrieve information ? (For instance can a POS device connect to internet?) For a project, I need to do identity validation on several restaurants and bars and not all of them have computers. So I will be giving "cheap and easy to use devices" and non-IT personal can use it to do http request to my server and get response. All I can think of is Cell phones and SMS.

  • Arguments On a Console eMbedded Visual C++ Application

    - by Nathan Campos
I'm trying to develop a simple application that will read some files, targeted for Windows CE. For this I'm using Microsoft eMbedded Visual C++ 3. This program(that is for console) will be called like this: /Storage Card/Test coms file.cmss As you can see, file.cmss is the first argument, but on my main I have a condition to show the help(the normal, how to use the program) if the arguments are smaller than 2: if(argc < 2) { showhelp(); return 0; } But when I execute the program on the command-line of Windows CE(using all the necessary arguments) I got the showHelp() content. Then I've checked all the code, but it's entirelly correct. But I think that eVC++ don't use argc and argv[] for arguments, then I want some help on how to determine the arguments on it.

  • Best option for using the GData APIs on Android?

    - by nyenyec
What's the least painful and most size efficient way to use the Google Data APIs in an Android application? After a few quick searches t seems that there is an android-gdata project on Google Code that seems to be the work of a single author. I didn't find any documentation for it and don't even know if it's production ready yet. An older option, the com.google.wireless.gdata package seems to have been removed from the SDK. It's still available in the GIT repository. Before I invest too much time with either approach I'd like to know which is the best supported and least painful.
